Amazing!
Breathtakingly beautiful; from the locations, sets, props, costumes and cast to the gorgeous soundtrack.
The dialogue was beautiful and had a few moment where I was in pieces and I'm not usually an emotional viewer. You become so invested in the characters.
The casting was perfection. I've read the novel and each character really did their personalities justice.
A few small changes to the novel of course but none that detracted from the story.
It's a series I will watch again and again, wishing there was more wangji and wei ying every time as the end song plays.

Beautiful
An emotional and beautifully acted BL from Thailand. The lead actors are gorgeous and the side couples that emerge are adorable (and looking forward to the sequel/side story coming soon!)
The storyline although dealing with concepts a bit fantastical actually felt realistic as our two main lead boys struggled with emotions from both lives. I was rooting for them all the way through.
The product placements are a bit comical but least they try to keep them flowing in the narrative so we don't get too taken out of the story like some I've seen.
The soundtrack also really grew on me and I really recommend looking up the cast version of luckiest boy, the main song from the soundtrack.
My Day (2020)
Overly dramatic but good chemistry
A low budget BL with fledgling actors that sadly shows in over dramatic and poorly acted scenes. There's some really stilted dialogue and the product placements crack me up but there are some lovely moments between the two lead boys - and though it felt a bit stiff (pun unintended) in the beginning I feel a really chemistry between them as they progress. The struggle with emotion and societies expectations are realistic, but some of the portrayal of the lgbt community is a bit slapstick. Worth a watch at least for the cheesy romance.
