Movie for family and those interested in being in one
26 January 2024
This is not a thrilling or adrenaline movie. If you need that go watch something else. If you want to understand the difficulties in life, how to accept your flaws and want to be in a family then watch on. I don't to want give too much away, but we start off with an extremely flawed and unlikeable character, Water. I believe Chow Yun Fat accepted this script because of his life experience and how it shows everyone no matter how flawed physically, mentally or ethically can find redemption and how hard work it is to get it. While not a beautifully crafted movie by any means you need to give it a chance like you would your friends and family members. Yes kinda corny, but this is HK cinema and its the humour in its culture. Also some cool Macau culture thrown in. Think about what they are showing you and how you can grow in your situation.

Ozark: A Hard Way to Go (2022)

The hatred boiling in you is exactly what they were looking for
2 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Those of you that have a deep rage at Ozark finale and ending is exactly what the writers were looking for as a reaction. Ruth's ending is agonizing and exactly what they want the audience to feel. Ruth is everyday Joe trying to get up and out of their situation. The American dream if you will. But those that have the real money and the real power will make you pay. The last "shot" is explained in itself. . . You wanted to see the Byrdes pay? You wanted justice?? There is no justice, just money, power and corruption.... this is the way the world is run. Great ending to a great series. The true golden age of television is now.

Azumi (2003)
Good try but no....
30 December 2004
This movie uses all the elements for an animetastic movie... but as the movie drudges on... there is some very big problems with it. The action is as updated as 7 samurai with its setup blood splats and explosions. In some cases you can see the blood before the swords meet... AND wounds do not stay... terrible. The sword fighting looks to be young actors trying to look spectacular... reminds me of the Twins from Hong Kong. I don't know of the actors, but they seem to be the teeny boppers that the movie portrays.

The plot is predictable and disappointing. Its mashed clichés.... what can I say?

There are good comedy moments within the lighthearted scenes.
