Ruined by cheesy staged over dramatics
26 August 2020
Seriously. The subject matter is interesting enough without these silly staged dramatics. I mean... a guy doing motorbike doughnuts, another shooting tin cans that the kangaroo rat happened to be inside, a scorpion mouse standing up on its hind legs on top of a rock with a full moon backdrop ? it was like lone ranger or something! Subject matter, cinematography and narrated facts should be enough to keep anyone interested, just look at David Attenborough and his team. Shame as the subject matter is so interesting. Ideal for the kids I dare say and not really a documentary per se.

A little cheesy around the desk!
29 January 2019
Not what I expected too be honest. I, like others have said, found myself fast forwarding the table chat, (as I'm watching via Netflix) to the various behind the scenes, the making of, Interviews with the cast members etc, which is far more interesting. I find Matt Mira somewhat over bearing. The vibe is just all wrong for me. No disrespect to Matt but maybe try another host or change it up, it's just not doing it for me, nor is Matt's humour....all so cheesy. Cool desk though!

Any well acted film that raises awareness is a good film in my book.
17 January 2018
I have 2 daughters so to watch a film like this makes one very aware of what could happen and how it could be a horrifying reality in your world, not just in films, tabloids and statistics etc I think all the actors did an awesome job in portraying their characters. How one can watch this film and not be overwhelmed with empathy of the real victims and the characters playing in the film. 'Debs**********' review just staggered me. Obviously hates Ashley Judd, whose an awesome actress, maybe even women in general, who knows but sure isn't any empathy there or the awareness being raised in a film like this. It's not like the film was even badly acted by anyone or that it was glorifying this inhuman despicable 'trade'. I shall endeavour to get my girls to watch it as they holiday a lot and even a tiny percentage more of being aware is a good thing. Those stats at the end of the film, so shocking. Oh if I could wave a magic wand!
