Tadap (2021)
Waste of time
Honestly, I have nothing good to say about this movie. Waste of a plot, waste of acting, waste of direction. Such a waste of a movie. Absolutely terrible. I am sorry, it is.
Gehraiyaan (2022)
More to it than meets the eye
First up, if you don't enjoy drama and intense emotions, this is not for you. I admire the attempt the creators have made to bring out complex emotions in relationships and how people choose different ways to deal with the baggage. Stellar performance by the main four characters.
That being said, I feel that the events that transpired after Zain's death could've been scripted a little better. Overall, not a bad movie.
Ghosts (2019)
A thoroughly enjoyable watch
This series is such a feel good story. Keeps you laughing throughout the show. Amazing story and cast. I enjoyed every bit of it. So wholesome.
Feel Good (2020)
"Emotionally Literate"
Watching this show was an entirely different experience. It is so raw and a tapestry of emotions. It's not for the people who tries to hide their emotions. Loved how it explored different perspectives of Mae and George's relationship. Great experience.
Ludo (2020)
Anurag Basu you genius!
A riveting story that is nothing short of amazing. Everyone in the cast, and I mean every single one of them showcased an amazing performance. Four storylines that flow seamlessly throughout the movie to culminate at one point. Pure genius. I haven't had this much fun watching a crime comedy since Delhi Belly. Superb storytelling and I must say what a comeback Abhishek Bachchan! Loved every minute of this movie.
The OA (2016)
SHOULD NOT have canceled. Why Netflix??
This is one of best mind-bending TV shows I have watched. I was heart broken to find out that Netflix had cancelled this show after season two when the creators had a story etched out for five seasons. Brit Marling is nothing but remarkable and Jason Isaacs is amazing too. Still can't believe this got canceled. This story deserves to be told.
House Arrest (2019)
Ali Fazal shines throughout. Quirky and feel good
A simply narrative brilliantly portrayed on the celluloid. This was an enjoyable watch and I really admired the concept of the movie and how the phone calls were seamless blended into the story. Amazing performance by everyone, especially Ali Fazal who manages to retain your attention throughout.
Aspirants (2021)
Brilliant! TVF has done it again!
This is an absolutely brilliant show and it moved and inspired me. This is what content should be. Amazing storytelling and the acting compliments it all. Definitely a must watch. And TVF never fails to inspire.
Panchayat (2020)
Brilliant in every way!
This amazing and very realistic narrative takes you on a journey as you watch it. Fell in love with the music and the OSTs. This show has been successful in capturing the pulse of rural India and its people and the nuances of its beauty. Kudos to the cast for so perfectly breathing life to every character.
Bombairiya (2019)
Funny with a depth
"Funny with a depth" are my favorite kind of movies and this ones lives right up to it. I don't understand why this has gotten such a low rating because the story is phenomenal, and the acting complement the narrative. It was a treat to watch. Don't read the reviews before you watch the movie, watch it for yourself and then decide.
Kota Factory (2019)
Incredible storytelling
Everything about this mini series is amazing. The script, acting, music and cinematography is just phenomenal. A very realistic story that unravels beautifully. I watched all five episodes at a stretch because I was hooked on to this since I watched the first episode. Brilliant show!
Mere Dad Ki Dulhan (2019)
Brilliant! Not your usual Indian melodrama.
I had stopped watching Indian TV shows simply because the content was so unrealistic and overly dramatic. But this, is a welcome deviation from all that. The show has been great so far and the superb acting adds to its charm. It is a simple story of a father, daughter and an optimistic middle aged woman who has so much hope for life. Love the story line and how it has developed so far. Love from Sri Lanka.
