American Ninja 4: The Annihilation (1990)
Good though not Great
I like American Ninja series especially the original, the sequel and this one. The story of the 4th installment was good enough although some scenes were cheesy in which a group of messy rebellions attacked the villains headquarter. The fighting choreography done and played quite well by Michael Dudikoff and David Bradley. Sometimes, the awkward acting could also be seen but overall those were comprehensible. I do like the duet of Joe Armstrong and Sean Davidson, here, in American Ninja 4 - The Annihilation...👊🔥👌
Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning (2012)
Not Like Most People Expect in a Classy Action Movie
I cannot deceive myself that I was truly disappointed to this movie. Every single thing such as the plot, the setting, the costume, except the very few of good fighting scenes (especially the car chase and the battle between Adkins and Arlovski using baseball bats and dumbbells) did not help this flick to be classy. Probably, this UniSol-DOR was better than Regeneration in some points but it seemed John Hyams did not know how to deliver the plot as plausible as possible. Like in the scene of a brothel's shooting done by Magnus (Arlovski), beside only make this movie like a cheesy one--also the strip club--then,why should he murder all people there? For what reasons?..Unclear.Then, why must John (Adkins) be hunted by Magnus?..Unclear.Why Deveraux should kill John's wife and daughter?..I think it would be more interesting if Deveroux took his daughter as his hostage then John attempted to go after him to bring his daughter back..Not just for a revenge!!..This time John Hyams tried to create Horror/Noir atmosphere and that's OK but the scene sequences were not presented well..What a waste of time making a movie like this...Please, stop making another UniSol if there are no good script and directing!!
Hard Justice (1995)
A tremendous action movie!!
A tremendous action movie that I have ever seen. It was the first expression that I uttered after watching it twice on the local TV in my country, Indonesia. A combination between a constant shooting and a great fighting choreography played well by David Bradley. He was good here besides "American Samurai". His skill in martial art was performed above average. He succeeded to make the fighting scenes nice to watch. Not only punching and kicking like what most of martial artists show in their movies. David Bradley could utilize all the martial arts techniques such as punching, throwing, locking and kicking. More stylistic and riveting than Van Damme's or Seagal's. Yes, I know that some scenes were inspired by John Woo's movies but that's okay as long as they were not taken entirely..Nevertheless, this is truly a slam-bang action movie!! Very Recommended for action fans.
