Quack Shot (1954)
What I Love Most about McKimson cartoons
While as cartoon characters during the era were often default winners (Bugs, Tweety, Roadrunner) or Losers (Elmer, Yosemite Sam, Daffy, Sylvester, Wile E. Coyote), This cartoon is one of the rare cartoons where both characters win and lose throughout. There are times where Daffy gets blasted or injured like in Chuck Jones Hunting trilogy, but there are other times where he wins and something bad happens to Elmer like in some Friz cartoons. This is what I enjoyed about McKimson where apart from Hippety Hopper, More often than not you had no idea which character would win or lose by the end of it and this cartoon is a great example to prove it.
Terror Eyes (1989)
Tales from the Crypt meets Nightmare on Elm Street
Boom. That's your movie. The movie is kinda about a girl who has to write a script for a Horror movie. Then she kinda writes stories but they could also be dreams that she's having. She's apparently also imagining dreams complete strangers are having. All the while, she's kinda be chased by "The Devil" which surprise, surprise, Looks nothing like the Devil on the cover. Also the woman doesn't look like the girl either.
There are several stories that are based on a spooky book, A Horseracing Groundhogs Day, and a Saw Maze like movie with a video game creator who hates feminists.
SPOILER ALERT: Just about everything at the camp beyond is a dream. No nudity.
Galaxina (1980)
Star Wars and Star Trek's Baby
When this movie isn't ripping off Star Wars, It's Ripping off Star Trek. There are minor moments of either funny dialogue or well dialogue but they're mainly in the last 30 minutes of this movie. The rest includes weird music and even The Lone Ranger theme Song. The character Galaxina is barely in this movie and doesn't say a word until nearly 50 minutes in. She also doesn't dress like she does in the cover.
A Few of the funny jokes included when they said Blue Star and the Menu Items at the Human Bar. But other than that, there's not much to mention. They also took the term Space Opera too literally in the movie.
The Female Brain (2017)
Deon Cole was good
But the rest of the "humor" and jokes are confusing or old.
One of the Jokes is a boyfriend of a blonde girl with Freckles saying she looks like the Wendy's Girl, Which since she's from the UK, she has no idea what it is (That's a running gag in the film)
Trump vs the Illuminati (2020)
Explains everything...
Except important information. Why is Dubai the portal to Hell? What did the Illuminati do? Why is Bigfoot in this? What the heck are all those characters at the end? Why is Bigfoot called Foot?
If you want to do a drinking game, Sip whenever anyone says Donald or Trump.
Heckler (2007)
Is this good or bad?
Obviously if it was really good or bad, It would be either a one or a zero.
It starts off interesting showing comedians getting heckled/telling stories about getting heckled. What would be more interesting would be having the comedians reveal their own heckling techniques. You get to see some classic (ie Old) videos of Bill Hicks and Ronald Reagan dealing with hecklers. Also Brian Holtzman will chew you up if you dare criticize him.
But then around the time that Craig Ferguson starts talking about film criticism is when it turns into Jamie Kennedy V. Critics. It shows mean reviews he got for Malibu's Most Wanted and Son of the Mask. Various comedians also take pot-shots at mainstream critics like Roger Ebert, Gene Siskel, Gene Shalit, and Leonard Maltin for being a tad hyperbolic.
Many critics will love to just hate this cause it stars Jamie Kennedy (Or as he likes to think it is), I'm more annoyed that comedian Andy Kindler is complaining in this movie....
RANT Andy Kindlers stand up is about him cutting down comedians and comedy. His claims to fame are making a list about "How to be a hack comedian" and "If anyone could prove Whoppi Goldberg was funny." I don't know about you but those sound like heckling personally.
Basically if you feel sorry for Jamie Kennedy, Tom Green, Uwe Boll, and Perez Hilton. This is a great movie for you. Otherwise, Just watch until Craig Ferguson appears and just turn it off. You'll also miss seeing Jamie Kennedy's butt.
The Wizard (1989)
This from a 27 year old man
This is like a Kids version of "Rat Race"
Fred Savage takes his brother to California but along the way finds out his brother is super skilled at arcade games. They also meet Haley who is the typical "Not a love interest but one of the boys" types you occasionally see in pre-teen movies and TV Shows.
One thing that I heard about it was that this was just a big commercial for Super Mario Bros. 3, And while it is in a way, There is still a story that for the most part has nothing to do with Super Mario. It's less obvious than Man Of Steel or Transformers 4 for example.
Christian Slater and Beau Bridges are the Father & Son who try to get Fred Savage and his brother since they ran away.
There are also several "Villains" that are pretty funny and have their spotlight.
The only thing I did not like in the movie was that there was a lot of profanity for a PG Movie. If this movie was released today, It would probably be PG-13 and it isn't really needed.
Also the movie ends on a sincere note.
Good Burger (1997)
This from a 27 year old man
Quick and simple review:
The Plot: Kel works at a Burger King like restaurant and is basically Keanu from Bill & Ted. Kenan crashes his car into a guys (Sinbad) car and has to pay 2-3,000 to make it up. He ends up working at Good Burger shortly after a rival chain opens their own burger restaurant next door.
I liked - The Carmen Electra part And everything after that I will also give credit that the song in the credits was OK
Didn't like - Kel's annoying voice And the first 40? minutes of the movie
If your a fan of Kenan Thompson or Kel Mitchell, You might get a kick out of this movie although Kenan is playing the straight man in this movie.
Jupiter Ascending (2015)
Like Putting A Million Dollar Suit on a Mannequin
The movie is boring, lame, empty, and almost attempts to make no sense or logic at all. People who complained about Sucker Punch will have their heads explode when they see this.
There are 2 modes of audio in this movie: 1- Insanely loud explosions 2- Everyone trying to out-do each other in a whisper contest
Take Transformers 2, Remove the Racism/Sexism and you get Jupiter Ascending.
Acting: Mila Kunis- Lifeless, Think of Aang in Last Airbender Movie
Channing Tatum- Lifeless, You'll beg for Keanu Reeves Neo after seeing him
Eddie Redmayne- He acts like he got sedated before this movie and is trying not to fall asleep
