Between all the positive and negative hype, I decided to see it for myself.
I liked LotR and I loved The Hobbit.
Both caught me in seconds because of the fantastic soundtrack and the amazing love for the details in storytelling and characters These points are not (yet) given in this TV Series.
A lot and lot of cgi and missed chances to show the same love for the project as Peter Jackson brought to the table.
After 2 episodes this all feels cheap and the story a bit pointless. Introducing characters is important, but as of now theres not enough depth in the overall package...
BUT: it has the potential to be great, but it has to go a long way to get there. Hope is still there.
