Wrong Place, Wrong Time (2021)
Well done horror film
Well made horror film and I don't think there are many. This one has a story, good acting, suspense and, of course, horror but realistic horror, if that makes any sense. Because of the above there was a build up to the horror and they didn't put the gore in just for the sake of gore.
The Guest House (2016)
Unusually entertaining
I saw this film in a theater in Hollywood. It was a festival screening. I really enjoyed it. The plot always twisted in an unexpected direction. Unusually entertaining.
Tau (2018)
Really bad movie.
This film is annoying. Why would a super-rich and super-intelligent (and handsome) scientist keep a woman captive in his super hi-tech house? Just in order to see if an implanted chip can do what? Torture her with electricity? What a shocker! Why not spend all this money on weaponizing her, so she can punish Netflix for producing trash?
Goddess of Love (2015)
A well-crafted little film.
Since the essential plot elements are mentioned by the other reviewers, all I want to point out is that Goddess of Love is a good-looking little film, with an aura of authenticity. The plot seems to be secondary, making the film an acting showcase for its star, Alexis Kendra, playing the role of a young and mentally unstable stripper named Venus. And what a showcase it is! Helping along is Woody Naismith, in the role of Brian, a photographer and a love interest, playing the character with wonderfully nuanced performance. Once in a while, a film like this one pops out, head and shoulders above films with similar budgets. Beautifully shot and directed by Jon Knautz. Pleasure to watch!
