Song to Song (I) (2017)

This is an experimental film which deviates from the traditional approach towards a film by not following a script or a story. The film is about a love triangle. There are issues among the three, but the scenes are not being tried to connect with each other. A visually beautiful film. I mean this movie had the most technical shots. Its use of a variety of creative lenses, along with perfect shots. I think it might not be everyone's cup of tea. Good performance from Mara. Portman is stunning as always, Fassbender fits his character's scenes well and Gosling is doing amazing as he always does.

Jackie (V) (2016)

Superb acting

Jackie shows the assassination and aftermath through Jacqueline Kennedy's eyes. The screenplay is not good enough but Natalie Portman is phenomenal, completely engaging and makes this movie more watchable. Portman is acting Jackie's mannerisms skillfully but more importantly, you can understand each character's complexities and sadness. The movie is worth seeing just for her. It was great to see John Hurt again at the same time.

Black Swan (2010)

Much better than expected

Black Swan definitely succeeds as a psychological thriller. In many regards, it is absolutely great movie. An excellent approach to personality distortion and self-destruction. When obsession absorbs everything inside you, your worst enemy reveals itself on a mirror. The inner conflict and insanity of Natalie Portman's character "Nina" is amazing to witness. Natalie Portman did an amazing performance here, transforming physically and mentally to get into the character. I am not surprised that she got an oscar. After watching this, i consider myself a Natalie Portman fan.

Peaky Blinders (2013–2022)

Spectacular

What an outstanding show. Perfect gangster drama. I binge watched the whole series and I had a great time. Screenplay is excellent throughout each seasons. The circumstances just completely change every season, which keeps things fresh and interesting. There really has not been an episode that I have been disappointed with. The sets are so atmospheric. I mean, 1920s England. You can smell out horses while watching. And of course costumes... I admired. Cillian Murphy is captivating and lights out as Thomas Shelby. I have to say that this show has a surprisingly great acting from the support cast. Every character feels unique and you'll definitively remember them. I hope it continues, "by order of the peaky fookin' blinders"

Her (2013)

Unique

Another movie that i say "i should've watched before". Intense romantic drama. Fascinating portrait of loneliness in a post-digital world. Amazingly original screenplay, concept, musics, especially colors and performance from Joaquin Phoenix. This made me stay with myself after the credits have finished, i found myself reflecting on my own life and relationships.

Mindhunter (2017–2019)

Can't wait for next season.

Mindhunter is centered in the mind of serial killers. There are many movies about serial killers (Se7en, Zodiac, The Silence of The Lambs etc.), but not like this. It shows minds of serial killers how profiling and criminal psychology first started. The acting, atmosphere, characters, it's all pretty good. Do not expect any action scene, just psychoanalysis in whole of the series and that's why i liked this series. I want to be mentioned though, Cameron Britton... Honestly never heard of this actor before, but i was fascinated by his scenes, he was so creepy in a politely subtle way.
