9-1-1: All Fall Down (2024)
Season 7 and the mystery of where were the scenes of the 118 just being the 118?
That season finale was yet another dumpster fire. I'm not even sorry to write this. Whoever let Kristen Reidel ruin yet another season finale should leave the show immediately with her. This 43 minutes were really hard to swallow if you watch this show since the very beginning. It felt like a lot happened but nothing happened at the same time.
This season once again individual storylines were really questionable (the doppelganger) and there wasn't a single light episode in the second half of the season. I am in the camp of people who still hate the Madney wedding episode and how it had more Doug than Maddie. Why? I won't mention Buck and Tommy here , because that character does not work for me at all and i hate every single wasted moment with this pairing. The bi Buck arc is one of my biggest disappointments of this season and i REALLY don't want to see more of Tommy. Sorry Tim Minear.
Now to my favorites the Diaz Family: I don't even know what to say. I'll start at the beginning. The first arc with Chris two-timing (or possibly more) the girls I felt was actually a great way to introduce the Diaz family to the new viewers on ABC and bring up what Shannon meant to both Eddie and Christopher. Almost every other storyline fell short. I hate that they had Eddie make fast friends with Tommy in one episode only to completely drop it once Buck started dating him but it's clear now that Eddie was only being used as a plot device (and buddie bait) in that storyline. Two episodes later showed us he was pretty neutral or negative toward the guy he was ditching his girlfriend multiple times a week to hang out with less than a month before. Speaking of Marisol, the nun thing made me laugh for like a second but other than that it did nothing but spark a catholic guilt storyline that didn't go anywhere when he starts emotional cheating on her a few episodes later. The moving in/out thing was again unnecessary. Then there's the Kim of it all. I like Devin but not enough for them to bring her back for this. I realize Tim thinks he made a mistake killing her off, but like, she's been dead for five years you have to let your writing regrets go at some point. Personally, I would have loved a delayed exploration of their grief over Shannon. If they just did it well. Instead it was a two (or maybe three?) Episode arc just to make Christopher mad enough at Eddie to go live with his grandparents possibly permanently? That is so screwed up and erases pretty much all progress Eddie and Ramon have made in the last few seasons. Anyway I super hate what they've been doing with Eddie, especially when Eddie's breakdown was one of the only good storylines in season 5 so to pretty much ignore all the progress that he made that season Is super pointless.
That being written the only thing that would make me watch Season 8 is if they finally give us the coming out storyline of Eddie Diaz, because if this season has proved one thing, than that Ryan Guzman is an excellent actor and he even can turn very little into very much.
9-1-1: Step Nine (2024)
This entire Season feels like a middle school Wattpad fiction (and not a good one)
I'm sorry Tim Minear, but out of all seasons this one here is my least favorite. It seems to me that he is throwing out drama for drama sakes, like tossing a whole bowl of pasta at a wall and hoping some of it sticks. Everything is all over the place. While this episode was one of the better ones this season i cannot get over the fact how bonkers the Eddie, Shannon and Kim storyline is. Could Tim really not write something actual believable? I'm so over Shannon, but if this is the way we are going to get rid of her so be it. Speaking of what happened to bi Buck? I'm mean i'm more than thankful that i don't have to watch more of Mister Cameo, because the actor just rubs me the wrong way and he and his fans absolutely ruined the bi storyline and i hope we won't see him back in Season 8. But nevertheless that plot seemed to be forgotten. Ravi only getting one liners, while he seems like such an interesting character that we definetely need to learn more about. Henren lost another child, been there done that, but this time it hurt so so much. And then we have Bobby. Sigh i cannot imagine a 118 without him as a captain. Fix this Tim.
9-1-1: Abandon Ships (2024)
From i feel like she sees me to...
Never been seen again. Thank god this plot is finally dealed with and put to a rest. Now if only they would do the same with that awful hardware store flirtation. The actress still can't act. It's a nightmare. I have never witnessed such an untalented actress in a tv show. Edy Ganem couldn't act her way out of a paper bag (and I don't even feel bad saying that since she's transphobic). All she ever does is looking crazy with that weirdo smile and what's up with all that crazy giggling everytime they show her? While i should be thankful that she was barely shown i ask myself why is she even on the show in the first place. I wish she would simply disappear because i don't want to see her at all. Period. Eddie Diaz deserves so much better than this. Anyways i'm counting on the showrunner to make her go away soon as well.
Back to the actual episode I was curious about what the new (old) showrunner changed in comparison to the former two seasons and i'm surprised that the premiere was really more like the old (and loved) 911. It was a solid premiere with lots of small callbacks to the earlier seasons. Thank you for that Tim. I felt entertained, even if the Bobby and Athena conflict felt a little out of character for Athena, but i'm interested to see what was that all about. Chris a player? That was something i definetely did not see coming. I had to laugh so hard. But it was a great way to bring back Shannon. Another great surprise. I loved all the Buddie moments during this episode and i still hope that this season finally is the season where these two are going to figure it out. Sigh....
9-1-1: Pay It Forward (2023)
Love Buck and Eddie
Buck and Eddie have a very smooth chemistry and I like that, to me this was attraction at first sight and I think it gonna develop into love in season 7. Also I want to point out that I really love the latino man who fell in love with his best male friend representation, it was about time. I would like to know more about Eddie's feelings for Buck in the future cuz Eddie seems like a very emotional healthy person and we don't see that kinda character a lot in tv.
Don't listen to bullies being mean and homophobic just cuz they don't get what they want. They are a really tiny part of the audience, they don't actually care for the show or the characters. Blah Blah Blah. That's all. Keep it up with the good work! :)
9-1-1: May Day (2022)
Eddie Diaz once again saves a terrible season, but Lucy Donato and Taylor Kelly continue to drag the show down
I was really looking forward to this episode and for once this season an episode really delivered, if you love Eddie Diaz. Sassy Eddie was back, rambling Buck and i loved every minute of them being partners again. I missed their bantering so much. It simply was right. Everything back to where it belongs. Except if it wasn't for Lucy Donato and Taylor Kelly.
Sigh everytime i am forced to watch Lucy and Taylor's characters on my screen i immediately want to change the channel, i just no longer have it in me to watch scenes with these women. Both of their characters are so awful and annoying. They are dragging this show down so much. There is a reason that they have cut so many of their scenes, but i just have enough of it of them of everything. This nightmare needs to end, it lasted way too long. As of right now i guess the final two episodes are going to be the last ones i am going to watch. I stayed for the second half of this season, because i didn't want to give up my comfort show, but i really feel like this isn't my comfort show anymore, because the showrunner waste their time with these annoying guest characters, disastrous love triangles that got cut in the end, yeah thank god for that and the characters that deserve more screentime just vanish. Where was Ravi during this episode? He should have been the one going in with Bobby instead of Lucy.
Congrats Kristen Reidel you have officially broken me.
9-1-1: Dumb Luck (2022)
The character of Lucy Donato is a complete disaster and i hate EVERY tiny second of the screentime she gets.
Okay here i was for the first time being at least a little bit exciting for an episode, i thought we would get some more interesting Eddie scenes and it turned out to be an epic letdown. We got Lucy here, Lucy there, Lucy worrying, everyone talking about Lucy, when it should have been Eddie. Ok i get it Kristen Reidel loves her creation, but almost the entire fandom does not care for this character. Thank god for the little Eddie and Chris scene because i was ready to smash my television after watching Taylor trying to get an interview with Lucy. That is a HORROR SCENARIO I AM ZERO PERCENT INTERESTED IN WATCHING. Kristen you can keep this terrible storyline i won't be part of it. I have enough. I won't continue watching this show live from now on. I just catch up on the Eddie part. Thank you Kristen, thank you very much for ruining this show.
9-1-1: Fear-o-Phobia (2022)
What happened to the TRUTH IS EVERYTHING Buck?
I'm angry, so angry at this show. Instead of giving me more of Eddie's storyline i'm forced to watch hours of this terrible relationship that is Buck and Taylor. Haven't we suffered enough already? Apparently not because when Taylor says her final goodbye i'm absolutely sure Buck jumps on to the next horrible relationship with Lucy. I'm mean look at the way they are writing everything i'm one hundred percent sure in the finale of this season him and Lucy will become a thing. I was all onboard for Buck and Eddie to become this thing, because their story and relationship is beautiful written and i always hoped that this season the showrunners finally are going to let it happen, but the way i see it they would rather ruin every character than to make these two a thing. And ruining every character is what they apparently are doing if i take a look at the writing. Sigh this episode was such a huge letdown AGAIN i just don't understand it anymore. Ryan's performance was outstanding, but i guess he just isn't important enough to get more screentime than the new and such a breath of fresh air Lucy Donato or this wonderful relationship that is Buck and Taylor. Disgusting that Buck still hasn't told her whom he kissed. Coming clean looks different to me. I'm over this crap. And Taylor Kelly continues to be a horrible character. Why is she still on this show?
9-1-1: Outside Looking In (2022)
What has happened to my beloved show, part 2
The episode left me really disappointed. First they add yet another annoying female character to the show and we haven't even gotten rid of the other one and then they immediately pair this new character with one of their mains, because OF COURSE if it comes to men and women there is only one thing on tv shows that is possible: being someone's love interest. Groundbreaking storytelling that pissed me off in a bad way and i was really trying to give the show yet another chance after the mess that was the first half of the season. And not only that. They even manage to treat htis little cheating story arc as a running gag. Have these people completely lost their minds? They definitely have lost track with what the loyal fans really want to see. It's truly shocking. At least the Eddie parts of the episode saved me. I'm really not looking forward to see more of Lucy. In fact I'm done with her, her arc Buck and whatever is going to happen with that. From now on i am going to fast forward through these scenes and only watch my Diaz boys. The only ones that matters from now on. Hopefully Kristen and her bunch of woken people won't screw this story arc as well.
9-1-1: Wrapped in Red (2021)
Two stars because of my beloved Diaz boys
Sadly this episode was a big disappointment for me again. No sign or mention of Chimney. No Buck and Christopher moments. What is going on with this show? I didn't want to give yet another one star rating, but sigh this episode wasn't delivering at all for me. Buck has turned into this weird character who now worries more about christmas gifts for his annoying girlfriend than about Chris struggling? Am i suppose to actually believe that? Because i don't. The cliffhanger fell flat to me as well, because the moment Chris told Eddie about having dreamt of his mum i was like ugh they are going for the Eddie leaving his job plot. Turns out i was right. While i do love it when they focus with the story on Eddie and the potential of finally letting Buck and Eddie address the shooting and the will, i just don't trust the writing this season. And please don't take away Hen from Buck. The poor guy has already suffered enough. I want to end this on a positive note the first montage of Eddie getting ordered around by Chris was so sweet and why we love the Diaz boys so much. Hopefully the second half of the season is going to deliver again. I am thankful for a break, because the first half was exhausting.
9-1-1: Defend in Place (2021)
I liked this episode so much more than last weeks one...
Normally i would give it an 8, but we got an exciting emergency lots of angst and drama and a wonderful character send off without killing off the characters leaving. Thank you for this. That is not common.
9-1-1: Ghost Stories (2021)
For the first time i turned off a 911 episode.
I simply don't care about the character of Taylor Kelly at all. I don't want to see more of her. No thanks. What happened to the woman who saw a ghost? Their entire promo was based on that and then nothing or was it later in the episode where i already was doing other things? I.
9-1-1: Brawl in Cell Block 9-1-1 (2021)
Season 5 really seems to be about Eddie's heart
First the universe, now the heart theme. I love it.
And let me tell you after last weeks episode this weeks episode was so much better and i really loved the focus is on Eddie (and the other firefighters). I did miss Chimney, i do wonder if the actor has another project and that is why he is missing some episodes.
And sigh to that Diaz boys ending scene. How anyone can hate this character is beyond me. I love them and i do wonder what is going on with Buck.
9-1-1: Peer Pressure (2021)
That was a terrible episode...
I like Ravi, but every character seemed totally out of character in this episode. And on top of it we had to endure that awful Taylor Kelly, which i have forgotten about up until this episode. I really cannot stand her at all.
9-1-1: Panic (2021)
That was a really good start for the shows fifth season
I was immediately hooked from the start and i may have let out a scream of joy that Eddie is finally getting such an interesting arc even if it means he is not okay right now. But i have no worry that Buck will be there for him. Oh this is going to be so exciting, because the show seems to finally address the elephant in the room.
9-1-1: Survivors (2021)
Am a little disappointed by how the the season finale turned out
But i'm so glad Eddie Diaz is alive and well. Ryan Guzman isn't going anywhere and i hope that marks the end of this gossip once and for all.
Back to the episode. I loved all the Buck, Eddie and Chris moments. Even though i had hoped for a little more Eddie in this episode (this season really did his character so wrong, he hasn't had a good storyline at all). But nah they made it all about Buck. Don't get me wrong i love Oliver's acting, but not everything needs to be about him. Was it really that necessary to shoehorn Taylor Kelly into this episode? We could have gotten more Maddie and Eddie instead of this forced, oh now i want you Buck. I hated every part of these scenes, because it was all about what she wanted. Buck deserves better than that thing. But i guess the writers still want to play it save. Totally disappointing.
9-1-1: Suspicion (2021)
What a cliffhanger....
Seeing Eddie getting shot and the way Buck and Eddie looked at each other the final moments of this episode actually stole my breath. He better be okay.
It was nice having Carla back and the Bridezilla was hilarious.
Oh oh what's going on with Maddie, Bobby and Athena?
It was also nice to come back to Hen's medical school.
Now i cannot wait for the finale and how everything is going to turn out.
9-1-1: Treasure Hunt (2021)
We actually had some nice Eddie Diaz scenes in this episode. A win for me.
Solid 7 points for this episode and two extra ones because we had more than a short 3 seconds scene with Eddie Diaz.
9-1-1: First Responders (2021)
Well that wasn't my episode...
Too many side characters instead 118 and now you force Buck into a relationship with that boring (random) Taylor Kelly character? Season 4 is so bad, i really don't recognize my once favorite show.
9-1-1: Parenthood (2021)
Did they really have to include Ana Flores (the worst character of the show right now) in this episode?
She always manage to ruin the episode for me even if she is barely in it. So what is the point? Episode was a 6 for me but because of Ana i'll give it only a 5. I cannot wait for this character to be gone.
9-1-1: Blindsided (2021)
Solid episode
But what's up with the promo always spoiling things lately?
9-1-1: Breaking Point (2021)
Sigh i sadly reached my own breaking point during that episode.
I really love 911, because they make you care about all of their characters, but who the hell wrote Eddie Diaz in todays episode so totally out of character?
Did they really made him introduce his kinda girlfriend to his kid after two dates in the middle of a pandemic while he hid Shannon (his wife) until Christopher asked her for Christmas, and now he's introducing Ana after a whole second? Also after telling Bobby not two episodes ago that he's not ready? Not to mention he didn't realize his kid was gone? Totally ooc for Eddie.
Whatever i guess the showrunners really must not like fans asking (begging) for a Eddie and Buck romance, otherwise i have no idea why they keep forcing this terrible Ana/Eddie storyline, where anyone with two eyes can see how zero chemistry they have. I already have nightmares about her calling him Edmundo. So my hope for the second part of the season is that her character gets written out. I just don't feel any connection between her and Eddie and to be honest i want Season 3 Eddie back.
I also miss the Bobby and Athena momens. Is it just me or are we seeing less Bobby this season?
Thankfully Buck at least saved this episode for me a little bit. You just gotta love this guy and he really deserves some happiness.
