A singer, composer (Writer/Publisher member of ASCAP), musician and producer, former makeup artist, professional wrestler, magician, puppeteer, and sculptor Verne Langdon is a creative force in the music business stemming from his earliest days as a pianist-organist child prodigy.
He performed in nightclubs and was first heard on radio when he was given his own music show on a local station. His keyboard stylings and soft, alluring voice became his trademark.
Born in Oakland, California, Verne Langdon grew up in a musical family. His Mother was First Cellist (on staff) with NBC Radio and the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra in that city in the 1930s, his Father played violin, and his Uncle was famed Dixieland cornetist/band leader Red Nichols (Red Nichols and His Five Pennies).
Verne began his music career at an early age performing for family and friends. In 1959 he graduated from James Lick High School. From there his professional radio career took off.
After attending San Jose State University (then College) in 1963, he moved to Hollywood, California, and invested in a mask and special effects company. He began writing songs as a sideline.
In 1972 Larry Meredith of The Establishment singing group recorded Verne's first songs, among them "Carousel Dreams", which has since been recorded by April Stevens, Kay Starr, and Jaye P. Morgan.
Verne Langdon's Vinyl albums and CDs include Key Of Sea, Forever, In Time, Candlelight, Remembering Korla Pandit, John Carradine Hollywood On Parade (single track), Jaye P. Morgan Lately!, Verne Langdon Out Of Love, Fairies In The Moonlight, Baby Sleep Sweet, April Stevens Carousel Dreams, Beatrice Kay Livin' In The Sunlight, Music For Magicians, An Evening With Boris Karloff And His Friends, John Carradine Poe With Pipes, Horrific Halloween Spooktacular, Music For Zombies, The Phantom Of The Organ, The Vampyre At The Harpsichord, Johann Sebastian Bork Fugue You!, Johann Sebastian Bork Get Lei'd!, Music For Dead Things, Circus Clown Calliope! Vols. 1&2, and Jonathan Winters Old Folks, a single track CD for which Verne Langdon wrote both the words and music.
His latest CD "Verne Langdon Carnival Of Souls Collection" for Dejavu Record Company has just been released (October, 2006), and he sings perhaps his darkest song, "Carnival Of Souls", as the Title Song in a movie of that name from Director Edgar Arce, in which Verne Langdon also makes a cameo appearance. (2006).
Verne Langdon music is Internationally distributed and Licensed by The Orchard, New York, NY.

Build Your Own Haunted House (2000)
It gives what it promises!
30 September 2006
If you want to know how to build your own haunted house, this is just the instructional video for you! Kelly Mann has done an excellent job providing easy-to-do (and inexpensive too!) tricks of his trade. The makeup secrets are easy to learn, and everything he uses can be purchased locally. The Show's Dracula-type host is fun, and the sets are well-executed. The decoration ideas are fun too. Building your own haunted house will make a wonderful family or classroom project. Kelly has a background in film and television prop making, so you are learning from a pro. He's haunted a good many houses in his day, and I suggest you buy his video and take his suggestions, the next time you want to say boo!
