South Park: DikinBaus Hot Dogs (2023)
It's about Casa Bonita
Trey and Matt describing and skewering their experience reopening a beloved Colorado landmark using the tried and true Cartman v Butters dynamic. Don't overthink it guys.
Oh, I have to pad this out more? Okay, it's almost a spiritual successor to Assburgers, or going even further back, Cartmanland or any other of Eric's entrepreneurial endeavors. Aborted fetuses, Christian rock, Boy Band... yes, it's well trodden territory, but after 26 years sometimes a return to the comfort and familiarity of something that is a legitimate American (Colorado for me) institution like South Park is nice. I don't think their goal is to make bold social statements every week. Sometimes it's just about dirty jokes, classic dynamics, and a little insight into Trey and Matt's lives. There, I met the word count.
