Chucky: Murder at 1600 (2023)
Oof that's not how you start a Season... jeez
Oof where do I begin with this, I don't even know.
I really enjoy the Chucky franchise, and up until this point I have liked and had fun with the Chucky TV Series.
But this episode felt like a complete and utter joke. It doesn't even feel like the same show anymore, in fact it doesn't even feel like a professionally made piece of media whatsoever.
Every writing decision here was completely and entirely bizarre. There is no logic behind any character decision whatsoever or plot decision in here. The suspension of disbelief for Chucky has finally been broken with just serious plot holes and bizarre character choices here.
Some of the characters that have been bordering on cringe have fallen off the cliff with this episode.
I'm even bored with Chucky himself and they have finally stretched the 'no one believes me' and 'trying to convince people its real' plot line for far far to long and I physically felt the elastic band, that they have been pulling for over 30 years, snap.
This felt so lazy and disjointed it was actually painful to watch, which I have never felt with a Chucky or Child's Play film or episode before. Genuinely made me want to quit the show. I will continue and hope it gets better however, but my god the quality drop has been fast and harsh.
I'll admit that I did let out quite a chuckle when Devon Sawa again reappeared and then as the president, it is quite the funny bit.
But it's just so nonsencical at this point it's really turning people off to the show. The whole thing with that secret service agent I think is one of the real kickers in nonsensical bad writing.
Yh this just doesn't feel like a fluid continuation of the Chucky Series.
Fear the Walking Dead: All I See Is Red (2023)
A Solid Birthday Gift
Back on the 18th of June 2017, Fear the Walking Dead Season 3 gave me the greatest birthday gift of all. The return of Daniel Salazar.
Now in 2023, the 18th of June returns and Fear has another gift for me. One almost as exciting as the return of Daniel, although not quite. But in the state the show is in it have me the only thing it could for me to be happy with my Fear episode gift this year. The departure of Morgan Jones from the show. YEEEEEEES!! HELLL YEEEEES!!!
Finally the most annoying character and the cause for the breaking of the show back in Season 4 has left and now the OG cast can be put to the forefront of the final 6 episodes. Should this have happened a while ago and more time given to the OGs? YOU BET. But I will take what they have gifted us. Finally the show can stop being the morgan show and with Dwight maybe off, it can stop being the stupid crossover gimmick show and return to what made those first three seasons so great.
I know that the writing may not improve but I would 100% rather spend these episodes with those great original characters rather than Morgzione, the Helpenator.
So the episode gets a an 8/10 not for what it is but for what it achieves in the end. It removes Morgan and Daniel also has a pretty good scene. But 8/10 for his removal but the writing was still extremely questionable but goodbye Morgan show. Hello again Fear the Walking Dead.
Here's hoping that they bring back the Season 1-3 opening title sequence for the final 6 episodes or at least the finale!
Fear the Walking Dead: Remember What They Took from You (2023)
What did they take from me?
I remember what they took from us all:
Dave Erickson
This is such a degraded desecrated shadow of something that was once so great. I will never forgive AMC and Gimple for their ridiculous money grubbing and stingy behaviour with what they did to Fear the Walking Dead. Just disgusting behaviour from them and this is the result. The beginning of Season 4 was a shadow of the former show and the back half was awful and pretty much unwatchable stupid along with most of Season 5. Season 6 was honestly a bit of a reprieve and was pretty good, turns out the 'show runners' hardly wrote many of the episodes of Season 6. Season 7 was the most bizarre thing ever and I honestly have no idea whatsoever what O feel about it, but i know it is nothing like what could have been for this show under Erickson. This episode may be the worst episode ever the words "SeVEn YeArS aGo" and "Padre" have been repeated to a ridiculous extent and that's just in this episode. And everything about it is legitimately so terrible.
But at the end of the day i still have mixed feelings about the show ending because i remember what it once was and remember what could have been and for it to end in this state. For this show to be on life support and limp to the finish line like this is like the last 5 years have been and will end as a complete waste of time. So yh i am sad that it will end and i wont be able to see these characters be who Erickson intended. I just wish it was ending under new writers. I can't believe these guys have been allowed to write the final season.
Doctor Who: Legend of the Sea Devils (2022)
Will Chibnall era end on a massive high or will he ruin classic companions
The episode it self was not the best and not the worst of the chibnall era..........but still worse than every story before the chibnall era. The only thing that garnered any kind of response from me was the trailer revealing Ace and Tegan returning. But the episode is pretty awful and sets the tone that these classic characters will be ruined by chibnalls writing and direction.
Doctor Who: Flux: Chapter Five - Survivors of the Flux (2021)
It's a terrible idea
I can't believe that we are continuing this Timeless Child ridiculousness, this kind of BS needs to get retconned later now, it's going entirely out of control, the division is ridiculous and stupid, doctors before the 1st stupid and undermining and this episode doesn't stop jumping round all the timelines. I will say that for why it is, it is executed OK, but the original idea and basis is just awful and should never have been allowed to film or air.
Doctor Who: Flux: Chapter Four - Village of the Angels (2021)
It's just not good
I think people just need to get some perspective, just put this episode in any other era, with any other doctor and it would be at the bottom of the pile, whereas, you put something like Daleks in Manhattan in this era and it would be heralded as a 10/10 and people would be saying "Doctor Who is back", but it's just not, get some perspective an compare to the grate things that have come before and this is just awful.
Quantum Leap: Black on White on Fire - August 11, 1965 (1990)
So Relevant
This episode is incredible and so relevant today considering the violent rioting of the past year, has a great message and incredible acting from all cast members and especially the guest stars in the episode. this may be the most intense, action packed, and yet a powerful episode with a message, Quantum Leap has produced.
Doctor Who: Nikola Tesla's Night of Terror (2020)
I have to say i'm somewhat glad i kept with the show
Now finally after Orphan 55 i was at the stage of being about to give up, last season was incredibly weak and full of problems, then spyfall got my hopes up that maybe it will get slowly better, then i was hit in the face last week with the terrible Orphan 55 and made me extremely pessimistic about the shows future. however, despite the fact i still have major doubts about the shows future, i am very happy with this episode. this is what happens when you try to not batter the audience with a political message. now despite this probably being a quite mediocre standard episode of doctor who, weak villains, HOOOWEVER, it is by far the best episode of this era of the show and i am glad that i watched it, and glad i am continuing. For now........
Doctor Who: Orphan 55 (2020)
worst episode for the show so far
Last year i gave the worst episode to the tsanangra conundrum, but series 12 tops it with this. a rushed jumbled mess, the pacing was all over the place, the old people were really annoying to the point where it was just funny every time someone said "Benni", the episode itself was a copy of smile, voyage of the damned, the weevils from torchwood, and trial of a timelord the mysterious planet, the way this episode rips off better versions is astounding, and i couldn't tell whether it was referencing or stealing, but when it is done in almost the same way without the doctor at all acknowledging this, it's definitely stealing, spyfall also did this, but the episode had some moments of originality and referencing, whereas this is the most skippabke episode of the whole show, and is the worst of the chibnall era and that is saying a lot, the underground railway reveal was ripped straight out of trial of a timelord in classic who, ridiculous
Chernobyl: Vichnaya Pamyat (2019)
Masterpiece
From a filmmaking perspective this show is absolutely wonderful, it is so brilliantly shot and then the attention to detail is spectacular. The show itself is a harrowing tale that deserves to be told, in the memories of all the people the disaster has and still affects to this day
Doctor Who: The Tsuranga Conundrum (2018)
Love and monsters has competition, unfortunately
The fact that this episode COULD have been great is what is the problem, almost everything was so promising for this episode it could have been really cool and maybe a bit scary, nope it's good until the PUTING turns up, why is it called that, ok fine, but it goes to awful, the only interesting character on the ship is immediately killed, but he is the only one to show fear, probably BECAUSE HE HASNT SEEN THE THING, oh my god, no no no, was this designed by a child too????? Like the absorbalof what the actual....... it's ridiculously laughable, the whole episode could probably be elevated if the creature was scarier more along the lines of a xenonorph larger scarier and faster and kept in the shadows, but nope it's a tiny porg from Star Wars immediately shown in full white lights. No no no, also the fear factor should have been elevated when the creature started to eat the systems, perhaps which the lights ACTUALLY SHUTTING DOWN and the emergency lights maybe being dark red or flickering, but no, also the fact that the creature does not eat living things was a bit of a fear killer, what a shame and a let down, could really be the worst episode of New Who and there are some stinkers
The Room (2003)
Absolutely brilliant, film for everyone, it really is a masterpiece
This movie is really really great, it brings emotion to all that see it, I don't believe in the 'so bad it's good' this is wrong it really is amazing, maybe not for the reason the great Wieseu wanted, but the movie is great and everyone needs to see it, black comedy? Drama? Parody? Serious? New? innovative? Or just strange? whatever you think of 'The Room', I know you will love it no matter what, buy the bluray and support 'The Room' and Mr. Wieseu.
Thank you and watch the brilliant experience. 10/10
