More Argento Gore
19 September 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Let's get one thing straight right from the start. This is a horror film and, like most horror films, the story is absolute tosh. The story line is, at least now 35 odd years after release, as old as the hills. Creepy going ons in a school-in this case a dance school. The location shoots are reasonable, especially the city square in Munich where (spoiler alert) the guide dog gets over excited. If you like Leder Hosen, then wait for the hilarious beer hall shenanigans! The dance school itself is a fine set, lit like a bordello with a Nazi like Alida Valli (no less) putting the dancers through their paces. The music is typical thumping 1970's Italian horror-thumping rock interspersed with tinkling percussion and assorted grunts and whispers. Most of the acting is execrable, although the version I saw was dubbed so maybe an unfair comment. The main characters are beastly, stupid, or beastly and stupid. What the police are doing amongst all the gory deaths and unsolved disappearances, I have no idea. Some claim this is a horror masterpiece. No it's not. Just another Argento rock and roll with some bloody set pieces.

Tripe-From Start to Finish

Warning: Spoilers
I have watched lot of 70's films of late and have enjoyed European titles across a number of genres. This film however was a great disappointment on many levels. The acting was laughable. The script was even worse. Not only was this trash but it was dated trash. The "sex" scenes contained lots of writhing and moaning but were just about as un-erotic as you could possible imagine. The gay characters dressed as a sailor and a cowboy and I hooted out load at times!! Dialogue was full of clangers and frankly boring, if not worse. Please do not waste your time or money with this film unless you want to see just how bad a bad film can get. Put it like this I would rather watch an episode on "On The Buses". That's how awful "Score" is.

Possibly The Worst "War Film" Of All Time
7 May 2014
Warning: Spoilers
This is a real stinker of a film. The acting is execrable, the plot is almost incomprehensible and the accents are so shocking that they are to die for! Sylvia K has almost nothing to contribute to this film apart from her breasts, which are mildly alluring. Her acting ability is laughable and is matched in awfulness only by Christopher Casenove, who can only be described as a "hoot". In the most hilarious portion of the film, he is rescued from behind enemy lines by SK dressed as a nun (!) She has just crossed no-man's land during a full scale attack by German forces. She then drags him from the hospital in bandages and proceeds to commune with him in a bombed out barn. You must see it to believe it. I recommend you either a) don't bother b) watch the film with mates when you are all blotto when you can really appreciate its true horror. Two hours of your life would be better spent asleep or picking your toe nails.
