A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)
Not bad at all
I liked the movie, even though it's not as good as the old ones.
Freddie doesn't look so well as back then, the voice isn't perfect, too.
However, the story is ok and it reminds of the old times.
The Kindergarten Teacher (2018)
A beautiful movie about a mental illness
This movie has two plots:
1. About a mild form of schizophrenia
2. About a prodigy not being noticed by trivial society.
This form of schizophrenia is often not a real issue. People often live with it without significant issue, and it is often not diagnosed as such.
The acting is fascinating as the actress manages to make us see a real thing.
She is emotionally neutral in regards to the things in life which she should be feeling love and interest like her own kids, so that emotion common in regular people absence in her.
At the same time she gets very emotional in regards to a poem, which is a minor thing in life, one would say.
She cheats on her husband, but that doesn't make her feel guilty or anything for one bit. She leaves the kid sleeping at her place after the poetry evening without any kind of concern what his dad might say or do about that, as if it's the most normal thing to do in the world, while regular person would never do such a thing, at least out of being scared of consequences.
Her only point of interest are the poems that boy makes, but not the boy himself, which is cold.
As stated at the beginning, this is a mentally ill person, which was shown in the most amazing way, extremely accurately.
The other plot is less significant, about a not recognized prodigy.
Ich war zuhause, aber (2019)
A movie about nothing
No story what so ever, random scenes without connection or sense. A viewer is trying to find some sense while watching long, empty scenes.
It seems that the movie was made to make people feel stupid for not getting it.
