Shingeki no Kyojin (2013)
One of the best to do it.
"Attack on Titan" is an epic and thrilling series that captivated audiences with its compelling characters, intricate storytelling, and powerful music. The show masterfully weaves together a complex narrative, delivering a gripping tale that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats.
One of the standout aspects of "Attack on Titan" is its diverse and well-developed cast of characters. From the determined protagonist Eren Yeager to the skilled and enigmatic Captain Levi, each character is given depth and complexity, making them relatable and memorable. Their struggles, growth, and internal conflicts add layers of emotional depth to the story, creating a strong connection between the audience and the characters.
The storytelling in "Attack on Titan" is exceptional, blending action, mystery, and political intrigue seamlessly. The series constantly raises questions, gradually revealing answers and unveiling shocking plot twists that challenge viewers' perceptions and keep them guessing. The intricate plot unfolds gradually, allowing for a deep exploration of the world and its underlying mysteries.
The music in "Attack on Titan" deserves special mention for its ability to heighten the intensity and emotion of each scene. The powerful and haunting score, composed by Hiroyuki Sawano, perfectly complements the high-stakes action sequences and the quieter, introspective moments. The music enhances the storytelling, creating a visceral and immersive experience for the audience.
While the ending of "Attack on Titan" may have been divisive, it was a bold and fitting conclusion to the series. It showcased the harsh realities of war, sacrifice, and the complex nature of human beings. The ending may not have provided a conventional "happy ending," but it stayed true to the dark and morally ambiguous tone of the series. It left room for interpretation and reflection, provoking thought and discussion among viewers.
"Attack on Titan" has undeniably left a lasting impact, not only within the anime community but also in popular culture. Its thought-provoking exploration of themes such as freedom, identity, and the consequences of one's actions sets it apart as a series that goes beyond mere entertainment. Its popularity and critical acclaim solidify its place as one of the top series, not only within the anime medium but also in the broader realm of storytelling.
Overall, "Attack on Titan" is an exceptional series that excels in its character development, storytelling, music, and thought-provoking plot twists. Its willingness to tackle complex themes and its ability to evoke strong emotions make it a standout work that has earned its place among the top series, transcending the boundaries of anime.
Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom (2009)
Depressing.
There's no better time to to get extremely bored and depressed at the same time than watching this, from start to finish, skip all that if you don't want to experience pain.
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004)
What's up with the bad reviews?!
Before seeing this film, had a low expectations based on the previous reviews, but slowly got embedded in the movie and forgot what's around me, it's hell of a fun time, you might think that nothing happened or whatever but it's really good flick , with cool characters and brilliant director, could've been shorter a bit but still, great time.
30 Days of Night (2007)
What's up with the Hate?
I watched this film when i was about 16 and i remembered that i really enjoyed it, ten years later after watching many bad films and and a few good ones, i decided to see it again, and i really loved it, and i was shocked by the rating, 6.6??!! it really good people, don't let the negativity prevent you from seeing this one, it's good.
Hunter x Hunter (2011)
It's... disappointing
The hype behind this anime was beyond insane, friends kept insisting to see it, "its soo dark you'd love it", when I started watching i was so eager to watch every episode carefully and try to understand it, I waited and waited for something special or "dark" but sadly no, it's so boring and bland, story was all over the place, the characters were superficial the only two that actually were interesting are Hisoka and leorio, but they never focused on that, instead u got these two kids running around in arena to fight and hunt bugs , i saw Naruto before it and it was a solid 6, too much fillers but good characters made it possible to finish it, for HXH if I was 12 maybe this would be interesting but as whole anime, it's just overhyped and disappointing.
The Office: Mafia (2009)
Jesus
Did a 9 year old write this episode?! it's like watching a different show, what hell were they thinking when they wrote this
Kimi to, nami ni noretara (2019)
Skip it.
I don't mind repeated romantic anime movies, but in this movie, she met her boyfriend when he saved her, out of nowhere decided to go surfing and boom that's it, within the first 30 minutes, they go out, sing, surfing, kissing, and still within the first 30 minutes he's dead, and in my head i was like: are they really expect me to care about this guy?! of course not, way too fast, prolonged cliche fantasies, his buddy is just there , Your Name is good example of how to make a good one but didn't work here.
The Ox-Bow Incident (1942)
Wow!
Tbh didn't have high expectations before seeing this movie, but i love Henry Fonda, and I'm glad i did, what a brilliant simple story, acted perfectly, great directing, i wish it was more than just 1h and 15 min but it's still a masterpiece, wish I've seen more between Rose and Gil, looked very interesting.
Kimi no suizô o tabetai (2018)
WOW
I had low expectations before seeing this movie, but when the first scene came i was just IN, an emotional roller-coaster, I've never cried in movies like i did with this one, it's a beautiful movie that sadly not a lot of people paid to see, but it's definitely worth the time and money.
Afro Samurai (2007)
Meh
Visually it's stunning, i mean visually it's top 10 for me, the writing though is not that good, below average, and English dubb is so terrible, i guess they didn't make any japanese original voice.
Naruto (2002)
Not that bad.
It's... interesting, I've been hearing the hype about this anime for years, I wanted to watch it from the beginning, loved the back stories of main characters, not all of them though, was annoying in a lot of cases, Naruto is not a MASTERPIECE Anime, it's good but they should've stopped after Naruto and giraya defeat the snake guy , end there and wait couple of years for Manga to do the second series, i was really enjoying it until +120 episodes came up with different characters that I should care about in less than an episode, no, it's impossible, overall enjoyable but not that great.
The Big Clock (1948)
Masterpiece.
Didn't not have high expectations for this movie but really blew my mind of how good it was, absolutel masterpiece, the guy who played Mr Janoth is AMAZING as well, Ray Milland always kills it.
Venom (2018)
screw the critics.
I was hesitant at first because of the bad reviews it got, but i forced my self to see it, very enjoyable movie, so good, worth ur time and money.
