Deliverance from Evil (2012)
Deliverance from the bad Mexican actors
I thought this was suppose to be a horror movie? There's nothing horror-like about this, except from maybe the bad acting. Nothing happens in this movie, which is my biggest problem with it.
Boy dies, parents have bad dialogue with their friends for an hour and a half, the end. The opening scene, where their son is actually killed, was so poorly done t made me giggle. Splashing feet in a bathtub and some strange looking black smoke is suppose to be scary...?
Only one of the actors had any kind of skill, the rest was just embarrassing. I get that this is low budget, but they could've put a little more thought into it. Maybe get some furniture so it doesn't look like they live in a bare house.
This was a waste of time. I don't understand the other reviews, anyone seeing this as a good movie must be blind.
The Killing of Jacob Marr (2010)
Using the movies own words: F@!# NO!
There's good low budget and there's bad low budget, this movie is horrible low budget. How many times did they put an awkward and horribly misplaced "f@!# no!" in there? I dare you to count.
1. The actors are bad, all bad. Most of them sound like they aren't talking, but reading their words from a piece of paper. Not believable at all, where did they get these people, craigslist?!
2. Lighting is really bad, at times you can't even see what you're suppose to see. When the characters are driving to this cabin of theirs, you mostly see darkness with two or four headlights moving, which gets boring quickly. This goes on for way too long which brings me to my next point:
3. The movie drags on. Typical low budget movies, they contain a ton of unneeded scenes and meaningless conversation. They could have cut down a lot, there's too many moments of meaningless nothing in this.
4. I can't stand obvious errors in movies. Two cars drive down a dark road in the middle of nowhere, the first car stops and there's no sign of the other car behind them? Very likely. The characters are talking about how lovely the cabin area is, when it's PITCH black outside, unless they have excellent (and inhuman) eyesight, there's no way they could tell.
As for being scary, not at all. The special effects are horrible, the movie tries to be funny when it's so not and in short, this movie was nothing but boring. Oh and the twist at the end makes no sense. They really tried to create a smart and unexpected ending, but they failed miserably.
Avoid!
Infliction (2014)
Awful from beginning to end
I don't even know where to begin with this movie. I watched the trailer and expected this to be great, I was SO wrong!! This movie is awful in every sense of the word, it's obvious that the raving reviews here are written by people who are part of the cast or crew.
Judging by the trailer, this seems like an exciting and dark found footage movie, but there is nothing exciting about this. I was expecting a genius twist or some unexpected reason to why the boys went on a killing spree, but not even the reason filled my expectations. There's just nothing new here, I can't seem to find a single positive thing about this movie.
The acting is horrible, there's not one believable character in this movie and this is suppose to be found footage? Hah! What a joke. The movie drags on, they could have cut it down by 30 minutes without hurting the already miserable plot, and I must admit I was browsing the internet and checking my email while I suffered through the last part of this. Boring, boring, boring. I could care less how this ended, halfway through I wished for them all to die, disappear or simply quit, anything to not have to witness more awful "acting" from these people.
This actually my first review on IMDb, I felt the need to share a real opinion about this movie, since almost all the reviews so far seems to be fake. Save your time and money, this is a joke.
Did I mention it's not even a tiny bit scary? It's not, my puppy could've watching this without issues.
