Amara Kaaviyam (2014)
Jeeva Sankar's Immortal Masterpiece
Amara Kaaviyam stars Sathya and Mia George, along with a team of fresh and good actors. The film revolves around a love story in the 80's. The film proceeds with what the director exactly wants to convey to the viewers in a laudable way. The feel of true love between the leading pair is in it's own league, and is enhanced by the excellent background score and also songs. For a Tamil film, the direction might not be familiar to the viewers as it is a real discovery. The viewers will have to follow the film in detail, and this is possible with the heartfelt and emotional flow. Before watching the film, I recommend the viewers to open up, and make an attempt to learn something new, because you will definitely not be disappointed with what you find in the end. This film is a definite must-watch for people who love to see the portrayal of different emotions on screen. Amara Kaaviyam deserves a watch by everyone. Bravo to the team!
Yaamirukka Bayamey (2014)
A Different Flavour of Comedy
Yaamirukka Bayamey is a film which basically revolves around a guy whose life is eaten up by problems till his long-lost dad offers him a house property. Knowing that this is his chance to start afresh, he decides to move in with his girlfriend. He meets two other people and together, they transform the house into a hotel and start up their business. What happens in the hotel is something the viewers will have to find out as they watch the film. The film is funny and refreshing in parts, some scenes are even creative. Viewers will definitely not be disappointed with the final product. As for the most part of the film, it focuses mainly on typical spooks and scares. What makes it interesting is the comedy which is infused together with those scenes. It's a good attempt from a new team, yet definitely could've showed more strength in several scenes.
