The Hours with You (2014)

OK, family movie

OK, so maybe its not a 7 but, a 7.5 rating. To be honest I decided to see this movie because my wife had a very similar life to that of ¨Ema¨. Growing up with her grandma, not getting along with her mother, spending 95 percent of her time at grandmas house etc etc...Until grandmas death. I have to say that I shared the last 3 years of which only maybe the last 2 months before her death it was a nightmare for us.

Although the storyline and film set was pretty well done I have to say, their was something magical, something else needed to really touch my feelings and really believe that bond between Ema and Abu. I felt that the movie jumped very quickly from Ema been a little girl and then been an adult with her boyfriend, and not much was told of their relationship (Ema /Abu) in between. Other than that this is is great but, I felt their was a lack of details for the main characters that were needed in order to feel that 'Click' at the end of the movie.

OK so, again as mention on my review on F&F not because it was film on my hometown (Los Angeles) I love this film. Has all the ingredients of an action movie. Probably seen this plot on other movies BUT what makes this a blockbuster hit is I believe the names that bring to life these characters. Starting out with Samuel L. Jackson (then again not all his movies are that great) but, when you combine him with Collin Farrell, Michelle Rodriguez and Jeremy Renner you get this results. Looking into more details the chemistry between Renner and Farrell makes the cilmax of this film adding some old school with Jackson, and sexiness with Rodriguez, obviously comedy with LL Cool J too you can simply mix and match to get a positive result. In this case you can somehow link all their characters in order to have this movie work out and give you at the end an entertaining action movie. Maybe not the best acting, no high end special effects, not the best soundtrack (although the theme song is catchy ¨Nananaaa nananaaaa na-na-na¨ haha Well do recommend this movie to be seen and again I am not someone who study film or any of that just someone who simply enjoys movies like these. This is definitely my number two best movie

The Fast and the Furious (2001)

Simply best movie ever

Not only because it was shot at my hometown (Los Angeles CA) but, it has every essence of a great film. This to me is the best movie of all the FF franchise. This movie touches action, love, hate, friendship, adrenaline etc. It has a great storyline to keep you entertain. This movie I believe was very successful not only because during that point during the American culture Auto Tunning was reaching its peak but because of the actors selected. At that time these were not world wide icons and had not been involve in a blockbuster movie that would tattooed their careers in Hollywood. Finally I just want to point out that I am no movie critic or someone who studied in order to criticize a movie, I am simply an average Joe that likes to see all kinds of movies but, specially action movies been The Fast and the Furious my favorite movie of all times. Have to say that my first ever DVD (or movie for that matter) I bought with my own money was this FF movie.
