Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018)

It has EVERYTHING!

I was worried about the idea of exploring the internet in this sequel just because The Emoji Movie was so disappointing. But Disney surprised me as it introduced the internet world in an excellent and impressive way! The design of the internet and every detail in it was brilliant. It was very smart to reflect the experience and the way we use internet in this movie. The way we search, see ads and how some websites works and games as well and so many other things which I don't want to spoil. There are a lot of references and Easter Eggs that serve the movie well and other were just for entertainment.

The way the script deals with the internet was very smart and mature. I was really surprised by that! All that was presented in a cool adventure. I laughed a lot in this movie. It was extremely funny & very entertaining. Also the script developed the friendship between Ralph and Vanellope and made it deeper than the first movie. If you loved them so much and felt connected with them in the first movie then I guarantee that this movie will make you cry as I did. It worked so well on the emotional level. I liked that there were more space this time for Vanellope. This thing and the development of their friendship as I mentioned gave more space for John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman and they did it again! They were great! Also I really liked Taraji P. Henson as Yesss, Gal Gadot as Shank and Alan Tudyk as KnowsMore. He also played King Candy in the first movie and was awesome.

Rich Moore and Phil Johnston topped themselves! The movie is visually stunning and they created the internet world in a very unique way. There also some memorable scenes here like the Disney Princesses and Slaughter Race.

In my opinion Disney scored a strike by this movie. We have a movie that tells kids about the internet with it's negatives and positives. We have a movie that has strong and powerful messages about friendship. We have a very entertaining adventure from start to finish without a single boring moment. We have cool characters, excellent humor and emotional moments. What do I want more than that? . The movie was 100% satisfying to me. One the best times I had in a movie theater in 2018. Go see it and don't forget to stay through the credits 😉

The Post (2017)

Meryl Streep + Tom Hanks + Steven Spielberg = Perfection

I had a wish 2 years ago: I want my favorite actor, actress & director in one movie. It happened! I am so happy that I watched the movie today. It was spectacular! I paid the ticket just to see Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep acting together and they lived up to my expectations! I was surprised by Kay Graham's character! There was so much psychological pressure on her and Streep's performance was convincing. Tom Hanks is amazing as always and his scenes with Meryl Streep were something extraordinary. All the performances in this movie are top-notch particularly Bob Odenkirk.

The script is well written and it gives all you need to know to follow the story easily. The movie requires your patience and attention in the first half where everything was built well and this will lead you to the second half which was very powerful.

Steven Spielberg directed this movie beautifully. He made me care about journalism. He made me feel I was working with them. The camera movement, the lighting and the editing were perfect. Every scene is perfectly calculated & perfectly executed. There is one particular scene where 4 people are talking on the phone that I think was brilliant! Also, he built the tension well here and utilizes John Williams score in very good way.

The Post is not just brilliantly directed and beautifully acted but also it is very socially relevant. It is a very important movie to watch! I can't describe more how much I enjoyed this movie. One of the best movies ever made? No. Is it one of Spielberg's best movies? I can't decide that right now. All I can say that it is one my favorites of 2017.

Paddington 2 (2017)

Paddington 2 is amazing!

The first movie was in my opinion the greatest family movie in recent years. Surprisingly, the sequel is better!

Ben Whishaw as Paddington is still amazing. Hugh Grant is GREAT! I want to see him more in this type of roles. Brendan Gleeson is excellent. All the other characters from the first movie have strong presence here.

The movie is extremely funny and entertaining. You may notice some similarities between this and the first movie but the script and the direction took everything one step forward and deliver pure joy and entertainment. This is a strong achievement.

I left the cinema with a big smile on my face. I really enjoyed every minute in it.

Wonder (I) (2017)

A perfect family movie

We Need this type of movies nowadays!

It is an emotional, funny & uplifting story. I was fully sympathized with August Pullman. It was so wonderful to see and feel everything through him. The way he describes everything is so beautiful. Also, knowing the story from the perspective of certain characters made a strong connection between me and them.

I read the book. It was awesome too. Some details were changed in the movie but were good changes and there are some details from the book I hoped the movie to show it and it didn't but that didn't affect the movie in a negative way. Everything was simple, clear and on point. The movie has strong messages about kindness, love, appreciating everyone for who they are and true friendship.

Jacob Tremblay proves again his talent as an actor. You won't recognize him because of the makeup but his expressions, voice and eyes were really persuasive. All the kids are amazing. Izabela Vidovic surprised me a lot. Julia Roberts is excellent and Owen Wilson was great. He was exactly as I imagined him while reading the Book.

Finally, Stephen Chbosky. Great job man! Once again he made me care about the characters and he portrayed them beautifully specially the kids. He let them shine in every scene.

I loved this movie so much. I had a great and enjoyable time with it. I laughed and cried. It is pure and heartwarming. This is a perfect family movie.

La La Land (2016)

A Musical That Is Pure & Magical

Charming! Magnificent! Great!

This was a pure & magical cinematic experience. I love musical movies and I was waiting for this movie since I heard about it. Wow! It exceeded my expectations!

Ryan Gosling & Emma Stone were perfect! Now we can easily say that Damien Chazelle became one of the important directors working today. Everything was stunning in this movie. The songs and the music were amazing. The dance sequences were done brilliantly. The cinematography, the editing and the production design were excellent. A lot of people said that La La Land looks like a dream. Yes, it is a dream! A dream that has a lot of charming moments but also has sad moments!

If you have big dreams or passion about something, you will find this movie inspiring to let you follow your dreams and passions.

La La Land is one of the biggest surprises in 2016. I was really happy with every second in it. I enjoyed it on so many levels And again, since I am a big fan of musical movies, it gave me full satisfaction!

Zootopia (2016)

An Amazing Journey to Zootopia

The movie introduced an amazing world to us. Interesting story and well written screenplay with plot twists. The idea itself is so cool. The movie has great characters . I loved Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. Also Clawhauser was so funny.

The voice roles were excellent. The movie was pretty hilarious. I laughed and smiled all the time. The animation was amazing. The direction cared with every single detail in every scene giving us a wonderful experience in our journey to Zootopia. Yes, It was a wonderful journey. Also it has positive and motivational messages to all of us.

Some people might say that this movie is not genius. Maybe they are right and maybe they are wrong. But to me the movie succeeded in everything I want.

Finally, Shakira's song " Try Everything " at the end of the movie was superb.

The movie is tons of fun . I had a total blast with Zootopia. Go see it. Kids and adults can enjoy it.

Bridge of Spies (2015)

Tom Hanks + Steven Spielberg + The Coen Brothers = Bridge of Spies

My favorite movie of 2015. I enjoyed watching this movie. Tom Hanks gives an excellent performance.Mark Rylance was terrific as well as the rest supporting cast.The story is very interesting and I cared about all the characters. The movie is well directed with great cinematography. Steven Spielberg is an amazing director as always and every time he directs a movie he does his best and in this movie he did a great job in every scene.So, The Coens and Spielberg make an ideal combination.The movie is full of dialogue and negotiations which was very good and I was curious to know what is going to happen next.I did not feel bored at all.Also it has a good production design and music.
