Dolphin Island (2021)
Great storyline but falls short with robotic acting, rushed storyline
This movie could have been good but just really fell flat. Loved the views, the dolphin especially and the idea of the movie, but the writer's failed to make it flow properly by rushing certain areas of the plot. The relationship between the grandfather and the social worker felt creepy and rushed because her son is the same age as his granddaughter. The acting was either too toned down or too fake looking to feel realistic. From the main cast to the minor appearances, it just sounded flat. It could have been better if they had changed areas of the story and got more realistic emotions from the cast. Plus the court scene was cringeworthy in both acting and dialog. Plus it shouldn't have been that easy for the lawyer to get his hands on the social worker's files. Plus Annabelle seems way more immature and naive than children I've met her age.
Love, for Real (2021)
Cringe and tacky
I disliked this movie before the first 20 minutes passed! It's very superficial, akward and tacky. It's like an even more awful cheep knock off of The Bachelor "reality " series, which is awful itself! I paused it constantly because the awkward tackiness was difficult to sit through. The main characters are also not the most intelligent, like talking about there purpose there outside the Bungalow, even though the first assistant director JUST told them everything outside their Bungalow is filmed! It got a bit better part way through but still not great. It also shows how fake "reality " tv is. No thanks. Very superficial setting.
The Christmas Edition (2020)
Meh
Had potential but really hard to get into. The romance felt way too rushed and acted with over the top dramatic interactions between the two main characters. There's no real flow in the relationship being built so I didn't feel invested in the relationship at all. It was awkward. Also, a lot of the decisions of the character seemed rushed, underprepared and overly impulsive to the point of lacking common sense. Painful to watch and cringeworthy. No thanks
V.C. Andrews' Heaven: Dark Angel (2019)
Disgraceful
Disturbing, inappropriate and traumatizing. Massive amounts of abuse, neglect, assault of all forms, mass bullying, child endangerment and abandonment with a teenage girl having been with 2 adult men and nothing being about it while children are being sold to abusive homes is sick. Stopping before getting half way because it's so horrific that it makes one feel physically ill. Also having young girls being with men and no one doing anything about it repeatedly is sick. It majorly crossed the line just like the first one. Done.
