Alone in the Dark (1982)
Smart Slasher film with decent body count
This movie seems to go highly unnoticed, which is insane since its one of the few slasher films I've seen that actually has thought put behind it. Everyone in this film acts very well, with little bad acting, Donald Pleasence (Halloween) gives a pretty funny performance as an insane doctor. The maniacs are all fun to watch. The body count sits at 8 kills, which is a little above standard for slashers, I Gave this film a 7/10 as there still are things in the movie that don't make it as good as it could've been, but this is definitely one of the best slasher films of the early 80s and a recommended movie to any slasher film. (this is also the first movie to use a hockey mask besides Jason in Friday the 13th part 3!)
He Knows You're Alone (1980)
Has great music and suspense, but that's about it
He Knows Your Alone is an early 80s slasher film that borrows heavily from Halloween and Friday the 13th. While watching the movie i wasn't really entertained, it was just something I sat down and watched for an hour and a half and that's it.
The Music however is done very well and is extremely effective, and the suspense that is created isn't bad either There are six kills is this movie and none of them really stand out. there's no gore, blood or nudity either.
If you're looking for a different slasher movie to watch, go ahead and watch this, its decent enough for one watch.
Evil Laugh (1986)
High Body Count mixed with old 80s slasher fun
This movie fits right along the line of the enjoyable slasher films of the 80s, you got a bit of nudity, some ridiculous kills, decent to bad acting, and one of the most ridiculous looking killers I've ever seen. However it is a enjoyable film, i was entertained, there went any parts that i thought were boring and it has a surprisingly high body count of 9. One of the kills is one of the funniest and mind boggling kills ever.. i won't ruin it, but if you watch it you'll see what i mean. Although it's called evil laugh the laugh in the film is more of a demented giggle, and it's not even used that much, there are a few characters who serve no purpose to the film other than to be killed. Get your popcorn ready because this is one fun slasher film. Worth a watch.
Fatal Games (1984)
Worth a Watch
I finished Watching Fatal games just over 4 hours ago and i found it to be a decent slasher movie, with a couple kills and a weird twist at the end.
Basically these teenager athletes are training for their chance to make it to the Olympcs, but someone with a javelin thinks otherwise.
This movie is another Standard 80S slasher movies, full if nudity, kills, and decent- to bad acting. In total there are 5 kills in this movie with two of them being pretty good kills, and the other three being just standard kills.
I say It's worth a watch.. but that's about it.
