Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015)
Its Entertaining, its awesome.. its a MUST WATCH
Bollywood seldom gives a chance to watch a movie which you don't want to end and this is one such movie. Don't wait for reviews anymore, it is a must watch and book the tickets now. The movie starts with a scene which you don't want to finish and ends with one with similar characteristics. Humor ain't dark or dirty but would make you tickle and laugh. Emotional scenes like previous part are not so strong but well we don't need to be emotional where we can laugh so much. The second part of the movie is slow paced but compensates to the fast lane of the first part.
The movie has a beautiful pace, awesome social message, stupendous acting by all the characters. The only reason I am giving it a 9 is because it non catchy music and a somehow unsatisfying end. But overall for people like me who rarely watch movies in halls specially Hindi movies. Do go out it has everything which makes up for the definition of PAISA VASOOL.
The Interview (2014)
Empty vessel makes much noise
The interview is one of the movies that you expect something big to happen but inside your heart you somewhere already knew it won't be upto the mark. Anyways with the Tsunami of controversies you think that this movie will be out of the box and yes you have hit the jackpot it is out of the box but in a negative way.
The interview depicts everything that should not be part of a good entertainment. Logic defying story, bad humor, tasteless acting. I am still giving it 4 coz its new year time and I respect one of the actors for his earlier roles.
Do watch at your own risk. You may somehow laugh at some occasions but believe me its better to rent a DVD later when you think that life cannot be worse. :)
The Shaukeens (2014)
The plot suddenly broke down
The movie was among the few I was waiting to watch mainly because of the three brilliant oldies. After a brief spell in the first half where it I was intrigued at what's gonna happen it all fell apart in the second half. The pace of the movie somehow fell drastically. Nothing unexpected happened and you will feel it was like that could have been the worst possible ending.
Akshay was brilliant to begin with but as the movie progressed he showed signs of Chandni Chowk to China once again. The actress around which the whole movie revolves did not show any signs of acting and at times it was irritating to see her say everything in the same manner. Oh boy, how much she could do with some acting lessons.
It is a one time watch hardly and that's only because of the sheer respect towards the senior citizens of Bollywood.
