The Hallow (2015)
average but ok
The Hallow could have been so much more than it was but still maintains a quality film in parts but i did not like the ending as it was a bit over the top in my opinion but still not a bad movie when said and done.
Whispers (2015)
Nicely done horror
About time i watched a horror film that was not just about ghosts and demons jumping out every few seconds like most today. This British horror does a nice job at pacing the film but setting up scenes that make sense but also give it some substance which is key i feel. With solid acting and cool cinematography its a keeper for my horror collection especially with Halloween season upon us.
Skyfall (2012)
Trash
This is possibly the worst bond movie ever. There are so many holes in this film you could not count. The acting from Naomie Harris was a disgrace utter trash. The ending well that's just another conversation. It was awful and so was everything about this film. The best part of this trash was leaving at the end, although seeing the Aston Martin from earlier films was good.
Go see the other bond movies first except Diamonds are forever. This was such trash though the filmmakers should be shot by bond for this.
Don't waste your time. Awful. Awful. Go see roger Moore films first silly but classic!!!
Dark Water (2005)
Great film
This was one if the best drama/horror movies in some time. Jennifer Connelly proves she is seriously a great actress. You really get involved with this film, I loved the cast and locations worked a charm. Tim Roth was great as usual but I think the young actress was superb too.
This surprised me how low the rating was it shows how stupid the audience can be for not seeing the big picture with this movie.
There were enough scares but it was more of a mind thinking film as opposed to cheap scares and gore.
The tension was there the whole film and that was good to see. I think this deserves a lot more praise but the budget seems way to high for me could have been done for a lot less.
Still a very good film I highly recommend to see.
Violence (2015)
A good execution with solid performances
This had the potential of being fantastic as opposed to being a good solid thriller. Why is that, well firstly i think the character should have gone darker with the Violence although set up nicely in some scenes where your not expecting things to happen I liked that aspect. With a better more experienced director this could have seriously been one of the top UK thrillers in some time, a very good performance from actor Craig Rees who made you believe his issues with dark effect, and to an ending where you will not expect. I also liked the chemistry between the David and Peter characters. For the most part a good thriller with all the right bases covered and some good intense scenes between the main cast to entertain for an hour and a half.
