Fantastic show, mediocre ending
17 December 2023
I Loved this show, there not a likable character in it, but you'll still find yourself rooting for them. Cousin Greg is hilarious and it's a fantastic insight into a world you expect does exist for a certain privelaged few, where an old school Patriarch has built an empire and now has to bequeath it to his selfish, narcissistic, and none to bright lazy heirs, none of which is worthy and so let the backstabbing begin!

The only negative point was the ending (no spoilers) but after investing in the characters and seeing their motivations I didn't find the final episode true to them.

Not a Game of Thrones ending disaster but a medium end to an otherwise great series.

An ok ending to a pretty good series
3 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
So,the good:

Denzil is as cool as ever and plays the part well The scenery is wonderful The fight scenes are brutal (if you like that)

The not so good: The whole seconds thing he did in the first two movies is used only once, and even then we never see him visualize the attacks he simply checks his watch This version of the equalizer Robert just doesn't seem .... Majestic? Just very brutal The lady CIA woman adds nothing to the plot and her boss, well let's just say if they cut all his scenes you wouldn't care as he cannot act and adds less than her (if that's possible) Then bad guys, they offer 0 challenge to Robert, Teddy from the first movie was brutal and trained, posing a real threat. And the Turks in part 2 were vicious and had numbers The "Italian mob" in this last outing appears to be comprised of around 12 guys total Robert dispatches without breaking a sweat leaving you feeling a little unsatisfied overall.

Avoid at all costs!
15 July 2022
I loved the games and let's be honest the movies were cheesy but they had something about them and tied in pretty well with the game lore (for the most part) now comes this mess!

For starters the characters are just plain dumb, they are supposed to be cool but they keep doing the stupidest stuff in like every episode!

Thé CGI is truly awful like they look like they had a budget of hundreds!

Acting, well there isn't any really, our heroine is 2 dimensional with no range of emotion what so ever and obviously only cast to tick a box (Netflix when will you learn!) It jumps all over the show in terms of plot and you are left feeling empty like most Disney/Netflix trash

I really feel like they stopped trying now, and all they have to do is stick a black gay female in everything so that any real criticism can be batted away as « RAYSIS! » Do better Netflix, we want the next Ellen Ripley, or Sarah Conner, or better still mill jovovich! A decent story and some fan appreciation instead of this thoughtless woke crap you keep churning out.

Hawkeye (2021)

Classic bait and switch wokeism
25 November 2021
So Hawkeye is in the first episode for around 2 minutes, then we are straight into teen girl replaces old white dude mode.

Seriously Disney, Robert Downey, Chris Evans, Renner, Hiddleston, Ruffalo, and Hemsworth along with Johansson brought you all you have along with a legion of fans and now your Pi%#ing all over them with wokeism What happened to introducing characters that were powerful and had their own stories like T'Challa, Iron Patriot, Scarlet Witch and. Falcon who we fell in love with?

Now we're to expect:

Female Thor Black Female Child Ironman Female child Hawkeye Chinese Hulk Black spider - yeah they can't wait to eject Holland and recast as Miles Morales!

Female Loki Black Captain America

Remember we may be white but we're 80% of your audience! Recasting white men as women or minorities is cheap and does nothing for the communities you pretend to embrace, it just alienates your core audience

Here's a thought, hire the writers that made you great or the guys working on Mandalorian and come up with some new super heroes instead of minority/gender washing our favorites.

A follow up that's not as good as the 1st one
2 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
It's not bad, definitely watchable but there's they handled Screech was pretty lame and they hardly bothered developing her character. SPOILER ALERT:

The way Venom infects woody harrlesons character isn't really explained and then Venom is scared of this offspring which by the tiny amount ingested you would have thought would be a weaker strain.

The comedy is so so, a few chuckles but the dynamic between Tom hardy and his symbiotic alter ego was much funnier the first time around and feels a bit forced in this one

The end battle was pretty terrible, you wait the whole movie and it was very similar to the Toby McGuire fight - think chuches and bells

Overall it's a 5-6, if you liked the first one you won't hate the sequel, but probably like me you will wish they had done something more with it action and comedy wise!

Oh and there's an after credits scene so stay for that if you like those.

Not the Foundation you read!
28 September 2021
As usual Hollyweird have taken another fantastic source Material, this time Asimov and totally wasted the opportunity to bring it to a new audience by filling it with identity and inclusivity quotas, the story and dialogue are atrocious but the SFX will keep them happy!

When will this madness end?

Wasted opportunity

I loved Jonathan Tucker in Kingdom, where he stole the show, so I was excited to watch him get a lead in a Sci-Fi show, something else I also love, but this is just awful.

To start we have the Mi6/CIA link which we're not even told why or how they came to be partnered. And apparently these two have very little in terms of interaction with their handlers.

Next up character development - to be honest both Tucker and Riann Steele come off as one dimensional, she's Mi6 and I guess you just have to wander about to be a spy now guessing at stuff and Looking puzzled now and again, he is a soldier back from Afghanistan, but that really adds nothing as there's no action or enemies for him to show us why he's our guy. But it's hard to blame them as the script is dire and gives them nothing to do except stand about looking upset a lot of the time. I mean a young girl tells us how her and her mother fell out over her brothers death and Tucker leaves the room to go spin around in grief in the corridor cause he can relate?

I think as others here said, it's a wanna be Fringe but without the script, storyline or sad to say acting, I normally give a show a few episodes but I think I'll skip the pain and disappointment I know is to come and bow out ahead

Tucker - if you ever read reviews do yourself a favor and detach from this train wreck while you still have your dignity and reputation.

Fake
2 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Look there's a case to be made if you are a casual fan of T1 and T2 and not bothered much about continuity.

Let me say that there is no way this film is anyone's 10 especially the fanboys and I count myself among those.

For a start (Spoilers Ahead) John Conner Edward Furlong returns only to be killed 3 minutes in, so the first two movies are literally pointless. No a "Rogue Ai" has sent back a terminator to kill a girl who would lead the fight back in that reality. This all felt to me like let's get rid of any white males and replace them with females or minorities as is the way nowadays. Enter a super enhanced soldier from the future, who is devoid of seemingly anything standout in terms of acting ability and line delivery, she is both wooden and cold and androgynous a person as you have ever seen, but she ticks a box right. Arnies back!!! But wait, didn't he melt himself in T2 so humanity wouldn't be able to recreate his processor, we'll forget any explanation he is just alive ok, and has a family now, yep you read that right! Sarah Conner tries, but her character seems more like a testosterone fueled male part rather than the strategic badass we know from 2 The plot itself and script is below par and I found myself checking my watch about 40 minutes In. The effects and fights do have their moments but don't have the same menace as the T2000 from T2 Overall it's probably a 3 or 4 if you don't know the franchise, if you do avoid at all costs, it's a politically correct garbled pièce of crap that should never have been made My score is to try and combat thé shills

Disappointing and overrated
8 October 2017
As a huge fan of the original I was excited for this, and with a stellar cast including gosling, Leto, Ford and Wright-Penn and with Denis Villeneuve at the helm this could have been epic. Sadly it's just another example of Hollywood cashing in on our beloved memories. A sprawling 2 hours and 20 Minutes of boredom, pretty boredom mind you, they did a good job recreating the original look and feel of the first movie, just to populate it with a terrible script and story that had so many loose ends that you end up not caring where you will end up. Again i wanted to love this movie, but after 2 hours I was waiting for the end credits and the lights to go on
