The Lost City (2022)
Mediocre At Best
Just watch Romancing The Stone instead. It is a good movie, and the main characters actually have chemistry. The only thing good about this movie is Brad Pitt.
Parenthood (1989)
Best Family Movie Ever!!
I am sitting here watching Parenthood for at least the 30th time. I know I have seen it at least once a year. I was a new mom when it came out, and I am now a grandmother. This movie is funny, heartwarming and just charming. There is not one unlikable character. We get to see the entire Buckman family go thru trials and tribulations while raising their kids. Ron Howard is just brilliant. This movie is for all ages.
Killer Bees (2002)
Better Than A Sleeping Pill
I love all kinds of B movies. This is not one of them. It could have been a campy, corny movie. Instead it is just awful. It is like they didn't even try. Bless his heart, C Thomas tried very hard, but it was not enough. The characters are a cliche. The script is terrible. The terrifying "swarm of bees" looks like a bunch of pixel dots. At least spend some money on special effects!! It took me an entire weekend to watch this. I kept falling asleep. I lost track of how many times that I restarted it. It is too bad that the "pixel dot" swarm just did not wipe out the entire town. That would have been satisfying
The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia (1981)
Definitely Worth Watching
This has been one of my favorite movies since I saw it st the theater when I was 13. Dennis Quaid is gorgeous as Travis. He plays Travis with such charm and does his own singing. Kristy McNichol plays his teenage sister, Amanda. The dynamic between Travis and Amanda is great. They are all each other have and are heading to Nashville to further Travis's career. They end up stuck in a small town in Georgia, where they each find love and a different path. The movie us definitely worth watching and the music is great. Give it a try.
Murder Mountain (2018)
Haunting
There are a lot of negative reviews, but I actually liked it. Yes, it is long and is repetitive at times. I watched it over several days. It's just hatd to believe that this place exists. I am not sure how much is fact or fiction. I did find it troublesome that people were doing drug deals on camera and talking in detail about past crimes. If it is as bad of a place as they say, why would they risk it? The saddest story is about Garrett. This young man was murdered for nothing. His poor Father just broke my heart. I cannot understand why law enforcement did nothing to help with the case. That family deserved justice. All in all you have murder, drugs, vigilantism, vengeance, missing people.....it is just so much to take in.
