Star Trek: Voyager (1995–2001)

A master piece of Star Trek saga

This story is told as a search for help and hope. So well written and directed, Voyager brings us the idea of friendship and loyalty, and shows us how important these two characteristics are, for humans and aliens. So many difficult journeys, without ever giving up on finding the way home. And yes, the conclusion is epic and exciting. There's no way to say that this series is better than the other Star Trek series, but the story is certainly so well told that it makes me want to watch it again from time to time. Strong characters, like Captain Janeway and Seven of Nine, made this saga one of the best of all time, in my opinion.

High Water (2022– )

Good story but unnecessarily long

This story about Poland drama is really touching. However, many points of the story is a little tedious because spent many time in static situations. I believe 3 or 4 episodes could be enough to tell the hole story, and giving to the trama a little more dynamic.

But, after all, it was very good to know what happened in that part of world history, where politicians and incompetent "professionals" have decided for their convenience instead of acting in favor of the people.

This story also showed how difficult is to convince everybody to leave their lives and homes even knowing about the risks.

Faster (2010)

Great actor, but just regular

I really like Dwayne's movies, but this story was kind of frustrating. It was probably poorly directed since the plot was so predictable. The performance of the killer (Oliver Jackson) was just awful, in my opinion.

If the story had some more rolling time to give it a little more details and components, it would be quite better. The best part and what saved the film was finding that the police man (Billy Bob) was the killer's contractor.

After all, it's a good action movie, and worth watching, but only once and never again. I just don't know why someone can walk into the hospital and shoot someone so easily... well, it's a movie, isn't it?

Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)

Excessive jokes all over the story

This episode of Thor was almost annoying because of the excessive use of jokes, even in the parts that the story should be serious. The humor is very important and very appreciated in the Marvel stories, but this one exaggerates too much.

The producers must review the balance of humor and seriousness when it is required. Of course, the actors are great and so the special effects, and they saved the day.

I hope the next Thor's movies show us the real pose of a hero, instead of showing smiles all the time. I just felt that I wasted my time watching this movie, and the money used was wasted so.

Invasion (2020)

Could be better

It could be better but the story makes no sense, and what the aliens wanted with Earth is not clear since the beginning. The effects were the only really good thing in this movie. The actors interpretation was horrible.

The Silent Sea (2021)

Too much time to tell to little story

I think the story is good, really interesting, but it could be told in a 2 hours movie. The idea of finding water in the Moon is really feasible in our time and could be considered as a natural reserve when the humankind builds a lunar base. However, "The Silent Sea" made a dangerous water that can kill and save in the same time.

Since the story tells something so lengthy, it should have a more decent ending, telling what this water was for.

A shame, because this story could be so better than this.

The Adam Project (2022)

Not the best story but really fun

This was a medium sci-fi story but nicely directed and well produced. The cast is great and they did all worth. The effects are also great and the scenery is beautiful.

The story is not bad but it's like many others, nothing new. Cheap production, could be better if well directed. Just medium. It seemed I wasted my time.

This film is not really bad, but the flow of the story is dull. I think the cast didn't fit well to this tale as well a better director was needed. It was like a bad sci-fi drama full of undecided people.

Many people didn't like this movie, but in my opinion it was fair enough for a near-fantasy tale. Many details were not clearly depicted but a movie is a movie, and it does not have to follow the real life standards.

By the way, the moon's strange orbit and position are really off the logic, and the possibility to be artificial is not so absurd (to me at least).

Captain Nova (2021)

Innocent but a good story

Despite of a innocent approach about time travel and its impacts on time line, this story was getting better when reaching the end. The theme is good after all, because we have to think seriously about what humanity is doing against the nature just because of money.

Dexter: New Blood (2021–2022)

Could be better, but...

This "reboot" could be better by ending in a different way, but it's acceptable in my opinion. The worst part is that Dexter will not come back anymore, unless he is immortal or returns as a ghost (would it be?). His son is week to be compared with Dexter, I think, but the character or the actor (if you prefer) is very far from Michael Hall charisma. Jack Alcott looks like a boy raised by the grandma in a small apartment.

If the Dexter's story ended here, no continuation will be necessary. Stop it here!

Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021)

Just a regular movie

I just put me into this movie because of Angelina. It's a regular thriller, not so good, not so bad, just ok.

It was boring in the first half and got better finally. It's a predictable story, very simple. It worth watching just because of Angelina. That's all.

2067 (2020)

Could be a better story, but no

This movie is basically good, but logically inconsistent. Ok, time travel matters are very difficult to predict of how events would be, in the same way we are not able, yet, to understand how it really works.

Getting back to the story, I think it is excessively emotional sometimes, what makes it boring to follow, at least for me. The trama is good, really, but it escapes from the logical thinking in the end. If you change the past, how would "you" exist unchanged in the future that is your present?

Anyway, this movie worths to be watched, somehow.

Stargate SG-1 (1997–2007)

Great show - fun - adcting - original

This is one those series that catches the viewers. I watched it only in 2012, but I just devoured the series - all Stargate Saga. Of course, the SG-1 is the best, for me. Original, adcting and very fun sometimes because of Teal'c interactions with O'Neil. There is also a moral discussion about right and wrong, and it was very nicely treated during the show. It is not only a sci-fi show, it is one of the best series ever.

The Transporter Refueled (2015)

The plot is very predictable, but the actors are worse. They seem to be acting in high school. I couldn't watch it until the end. I expected a movie like 007, but I found a bunch of amateurs acting.

Some facts of this story were not nicely presented, but I liked it after all. Sometimes the story flowing was some boring, but the cast showed a good performance.

Nice idea, but poorly directed

This story is really good with a nice approach about time flowing. However, the problem is how this film was executed and directed. This would be a great production if put in the hands of a talented director.

But I think it worths watching after all.

I rated as 7 because of the idea, but would be 5 for the execution.

Schumacher (2021)

Another view for a F1 driver

It was a great approach about Schumacher and his career. Many times I though bad things about him, I confess, but just because I'm a brazilian guy and sometimes I saw my hero (Senna) being defeated by Schumacher in some way. Of course, many people can say that if Senna didn't have died Michael would not be champion 7 times, including me. However, this is not the point, because Michael would have divided all the success with Senna, and this would be great to watch.

The main merith of Michael was accept the chalenge to take Ferrari to the top. I don't like Ferrari because of those egocentric managers, that offen think that Ferrari is the best of the best. Be the best is just be the best, not keep saying that you are the best. Ferrari, stop it! You needed Michael's talent to go to the top again! See what you are now! You are nothing without a great pilot like him! Your name was built by the legendary pilots, not just because you are called Ferrari.

Yes, I don't like Ferrari, but respect what Schumacher did as a pilot and what he means to his family as a dear father.

The Swarm (2020)

Good in the beginning, but what then?

When I started watching this film, I thought "ahh, this must be good". However, the conclusion is just ridiculous and meaningless. A good story with a good idea ruined by a lack of imagination.

Great approach of time

This story showed a great approach about time travel. Nothing about Sci-Fi, but just a romatic view and an inteligent way of using such power.

The Gift (2019–2021)

This story was really interesting in the beginning, but the third season was the worst. The acting is poor, and being honest I watched 'til the end because I have had already lost my time in the 2 initial seasons. In my opinion, of course, once again a good story was destroyed by a poor directing. The worst actress was Ozan's mother, inexpressive and graceless.

The Tomorrow War (2021)

Not feasable situation but fun to watch

Although this film is based on pure Sci-Fi situation and some fantastic situation, it's fun to watch and it's full of action. The effects are great and give us a good and realistic sceneries.

Some can say that this film isn't good but I enjoyed watching.

Future Man (2017–2020)

Great show, fun Sci-Fi

This show is simply great and original when speaking about time travel. The cast is also great, with very good performance. It's a story mixed with drama and comedy.
