Stuck in the Middle (2016–2018)

Why is the rating so low?
13 September 2016
This show is great. The story lines are refreshing and humorous and the characters actually learn a valuable lesson. Every character is likable, which is impressive since there are nine of them and most of them are troublesome kids. It's a great show and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves family shows. I feel like a lot of the "critics" here judge the whole show after watching only one episode, which I have to admit, I've done before. But when it comes to this show, I think you should watch another episode and give it a second chance before giving it a low rating. Fingers crossed that this show lasts because it is definitely a worth-watching show. So, give it a few chances and maybe you'll warm up to it :)

I loved it.

It's funny and genuine and an overall nice movie to watch. It also teaches a great lesson, which is to be wary of how much you shop. Although I, personally, am the type of person who feels guilty after getting so much as four clothing items, I still really enjoyed this movie and I felt like I could relate to some parts (like when Rebecca explains the thrill of buying something).

As someone else mentioned, the CGI mannequins are really impressive and it wasn't something I'd expect from a movie made a whole seven years ago. Also, pretty much all of the characters were enjoyable and I'm glad that the "mean" girl (can't seem to remember her name, but she's blond and tall and described as having "spidery long legs") isn't really as mean as I'd expected her to be. The movie doesn't really put too much of a focus on her which I appreciate because I dislike when movies center on the main character (in this case, Rebecca) having a seemingly endless feud with the main, female villain (in the case, the "spidery legs" girl. Sorry, still can't remember her name). All in all, it's an enjoyable movie and although it's centered more towards females, it can still be a great movie to watch on a family night.

@superkeegan's review, keep in mind that this show is for children. As in 3 to 8 year olds who are just learning math. I'm older than that but I still enjoy the show because it has moments when it's actually funny. It's also fun to watch. The Problem Solved song is short so I don't have a problem with it being used in every episode. It's actually kind of catchy in fact. And if you'd rather watch Johnny Test than this, well, that's your personal preference because Johnny Test is nowhere near as educational as this show.

Anyway, this show is really educational and it's great for young children in preschool, kindergarten, first grade, and even second grade. Hope it lasts on air.

Pleasantly surprised.

From the promos, I assumed that it would be a Disney Channel version of Sofia The First and that it would only appeal to 5 to 8 year olds and well, I was right and wrong. It has the same animation style as STF and it's also a musical, but I found myself really enjoying it. It has a good message and it's interesting enough. The characters are likable and the songs they sing are actually really good. I like the idea of a Latina princess too, it's really nice. The only request I have is that they should try to make the show appeal more to 9-14 year olds, which I'm guessing is the primary age group of people who even watch Disney Channel. Right now, from what I've seen, it's more of Disney Junior material. That doesn't mean it's a bad show, though. If they succeed in making it more relateable and geared towards the 9-14 age group, I would probably like it way more then I already do. Anyway, it's a good show and I'm glad that Disney Channel is bringing back animated shows.

K.C. Undercover (2015–2018)
10/10
Love it.

It reminds me of Kim Possible and That's So Raven with its spy-centered plot and constant costumes that the main character, KC Cooper, wears. It brings back old Disney in a nice way and the humor is refreshing as well. The characters are interesting and dynamic, and the sibling teasing is playful and amusing. Hopefully, it stays on air for longer than two years, unlike I Didn't Do It, which I still don't understand why it was cut off air. It was probably one of the better Disney shows at the time, anyway. And it would have been better if they had wrapped up the series in a nice, finale episode, but no, instead it was just cancelled out of nowhere. That kind of annoyed me for a while. Hopefully, that's not the case with this show, though. Overall, KC Undercover is a fun family show that brings back nostalgic memories of old Disney, so I would definitely recommend it.

Totally worth the hype.

Cartoon Network seems to be getting better and better, and this show is solid proof of that. It's funny, entertaining, interesting, fun to watch, and has a wide ranging audience. The episodes are short but enjoyable. I really hope it's stays on air for a long time because so far, it deserves it. I also love the body diversity. Not everyone is stick thing or chubby. Different characters have different body shapes, and it's makes it all the more realistic. If you're into Adventure Time, Regular Show, Gravity Falls or any other cartoon-slash-adventure show, then this is the show for you. The characters are interesting, the plot seems well-developed, and the humor is subtle but funny nonetheless.

Absolutely amazing

This movie is sadly unappreciated and if you haven't seen it yet, you should get yourself a copy or find some other way to watch it asap. It's funny, entertaining, romantic, and just an overall heartwarming Disney movie. The main characters grow and change throughout the course of the movie, and it's very fun to watch the character development. The main villain is well thought out and interesting. There were no plot holes I could find and the animation is pretty good for it's time. There are jokes for adults and kids which is something I love about Disney movies - it's not only targeted towards one audience. I also appreciate the cultural diversity in this movie. It's certainly refreshing. Overall, it's an amazing movie and I'm surprised it's only rated 71% on here.

Best Friends Whenever: Worst Night Whenever (2016)
Season 2, Episode 2

Great episode
8 August 2016
Totally agree with the other reviewer. This episode had a good message, good dialogue, and good humor. It taught a good message for kids to just be themselves. It was a high quality episode that is probably overlooked by many critics.

It's great for kids and even teenagers!

Sometimes I feel like people harshly criticize shows based on the first or second episode and don't even bother to give it a second chance.

Hence the show getting a bad rating. I hope this show stays on air for a lot longer because it has a whole lot of potential that is kind of rare on Disney Channel shows these days.

Give it a try
8 August 2016
Actually not a bad show. One of the better Disney shows in my opinion anyway. It's funny at times, interesting, and quite entertaining. Its mostly targeted at 7 - 14 years old so the humor may be bland to those older than that age range. I think the characters are quite interesting, and the show seems to get better as it progresses. It's not for everyone, that's for sure, but give it a try.

Sure, this show isn't perfect. There are plot holes, but then again, most of its viewers won't recognize it unless they do a detailed inspection of the show, which most people won't do. The thing about the humor is that it's kind of subjective. I find some parts hilarious, and my friend may find it boring. It depends on your sense of humor, really.

Also, to all those saying that they should use their time traveling ability for more creative things like watching dinosaurs or going into 3080, remember that this is Disney, not some high-budget Jurassic movie. They obviously can't afford to go all out with each episode. The reason why Mr. Peabody and Sherman have all those cool things is because its ANIMATION, and it's much easier to incorporate dinosaurs into animation than in a real-life Disney show.

Franklin and Friends (2011–2016)
10/10
Great children show
30 December 2015
I loved this show very much. It was sweet, nostalgic, and just overall, a family show. It taught lessons at times, and at other times, it was simply for a laugh. It reminds me of Arthur very much, a PBS show, and I also loved watching Arthur. It reminds me of Arthur because, like Arthur, all of the characters are animals. A funny thing I picked up about this show was that Franklin was the only character on the show that wasn't named after himself. For example, there is a character named Beaver, there's Bear, etc. But Franklin, a turtle, is simply named Franklin. If you (or your child) enjoyed the book series, then I definitely recommend this show. I would recommend to children anywhere from three to eight (maybe nine) years old. Or even to teenagers who simply enjoy the show.

Liv and Maddie: Ask Her More-A-Rooney (2015)
Season 3, Episode 8
10/10
Great episode
19 December 2015
Warning: Spoilers
It was a pretty good episode, and I love the moral of it. It shows that girls in show business should not be judged or complimented on solely on their looks. At first, I wasn't sure where the story was going, but it seemed to wrap up nicely at the end. It was better in quality than most of the other episodes, in my opinion. It was funny, and I liked the guest star, Kristen Bell's appearance. It was also pretty humorous, especially at the end with Liv realizing that her birth certificate was in the Thai book. I'd definitely watch it again. Liv and Maddie is definitely getting better this season, and I hope it makes it to 4 years on air. :)
