Strike! (1998)
THE BEST teen movie out there...
Me and my girls ALWAYS watch STRIKE when we have sleep overs. YES, it is a chick flick and it is a teen movie. But it's always such a joy to watch this: it's got great female characters you easily get attached to, good sub-plots that make it more believable and an unlimited amount of unforgettable quotes and jokes. The theme of the movie is really STAND UP FOR WHAT YOU BVELIEVE ME. But also ALWAYS BE THERE FOR YOUR FRIENDS. I, personally, love teen movies that are both hilarious and heartwarming at the same time. And this is definitely one of the best teen movies out there. I also really like ''Never Been Kissed'',''10 Things I Hate About You'',''Down To You'' and ''She's All That''. And if you've seen and enjoyed all of these movies and haven't seen ''STRIKE'' yet, get your butt of that chair and run to the video store. You won't regret it.
Scary Movie 4 (2006)
First 30 minutes: Hysterical...Rest of the movie: BORING!
I really LOVED the first ''SCARY MOVIE'', simply because it mocked some of my favorite horror movies and did so well doing it. The second was terrible. I saw it once and never wanted to see it again. The third was just 'okay', I mean I LOVED the opening scene with Jenny McCarthy and Pamela Anderson but the rest was just annoying. And here they decide to make a fourth. My question is 'WHY?'...There's really nothing special or original anymore. Although the first 20-30 minutes of this film were very funny, I HATED the rest. And great, now they're planning a fifth? COME ON! I mean, what are they going to do now? ''House of Wax''? ''Snakes On a Plane''? Okay, now for the 'SCARY MOVIE' fans, don't ignore this one. If you like dumb comedies, I think you'll like it. But I'm tired of the ''Scary Movie'' franchise so I'm not recommending it for people who seek a good time from beginning to end. Rent a classier comedy.
Never Been Kissed (1999)
Everybody wants to be accepted...
I love this movie so much. It always makes me cry. If you appreciate Drew Barrymore half as much as I do, you'll love this movie. It's got all the essentials I look for in a movie. It has good actors, good characters, good humor...a lot of heart-warming moments too. The flash-back moments when we see Josie in high school make me cry though. Every single time. I'm sure you'll like this one, don't judge based on the fact that it looks like a teen movie, even though it is, in a way, a teen movie. Sure, if you're a guy, and all you watch are hardcore special effect movies only in the top 250 movies of all time, then this isn't for you. But if you like romantic comedies you will not forget after seeing it, pick it up at a video store and enjoy: Drew Barrymore is great in this one!
