Blue Lights (2023)
Fantastic
I absolutely loved this. Thought it was a comedy sketch from the cover art for some reason so didn't even consider watching at first until I received a recommendation.
Watched the whole series over 2 days. Couldn't stop watching.
Great pace, excellent cast, fabulous acting and intriguing story line. Loved every episode. Really enjoyed watching Richard Dormer, loved him in Fortitide as Dan Anderson. Didn't realise he was Northern Irish.
Just as good as Happy Valley so if you enjoyed that, definitely check this out.
Really hope there is another series, will definitely be on my watch list.
10/10.
Heartbreak High (1994)
First 5 Seasons were the best
Just rewatched all 7 series after dipping in and out of it as a teenager, not sure they aired all 7 in the UK, too long ago to really remember. Loved this nostalgic look at the 90's, perfect bath time TV, 45 minutes episodes of the lives of Australian high school kids. I had a massive crush on Drazic as a teenager, glad to see he is still acting, recently watched his brief appearance in The Grey Man.
Holding (2022)
Stay with it, it's wonderful
I really enjoyed this series, not sure why so many others have rated it so low. It was charming, full of mystery & with very likeable characters. If you love Kathy Burke it's a must watch!
Björnstad (2020)
Surprisingly wonderful
So I wasn't keen on the subtitles as I tend to go for dubbed versions (please don't judge!) but seeing how much I enjoy the books by Fredrik Backman I wanted to give it a go. Note - I hadn't read the book so can't compare.
I really enjoyed this, the pace, the location & cinematography, the acting, the soundtrack & the story.
Don't let the subtitles put you off if you can't understand Swedish.
