DELIGHTFULLY ENTHRALLING!
22 April 2024
Absolutely loved this show!

Excellent and intelligent writing, as if it were real life conversations we were eavesdropping on. Finally a script that's so very believable, making the actors roles even more immersive. The actors were engaging and charming, with a great story line and plenty of giggles. Beautiful scenery in France and fortunately not many snobby, up-themselves French featured, thank you.

Well done to all involved! MANY, MANY, MANY MORE EPISODES PLEEEASE!

PS. When walking in France, glance sideways when French people are approaching and they will have to move aside to avoid colliding into you. Otherwise, you will be sidestepping the bore's endlessly. Beat them at their own game, I learnt the hard way!

BRITISH POST, BRITISH GOVERNMENT and the QUEENS HEAD STAMPED ON EVERYTHING.....BUT NO JUSTICE FOR THE GUILTY! WHY?
21 April 2024
This appalling story makes me LIVID!

If, all of a sudden, 3,500 postmasters start stealing from their businesses, why didn't the Post Office and CEO start asking questions? Why didn't their investigators investigate to find out what the problem was? To ask these questions surely points to a coverup by the Post Office and Fujitsu.

HUGE SHAME ON VENNELS, FUJITSU AND THE GOVERNMENT FOR ALLOWING IT TO DRAG ON FOR TWENTY YEARS.

A HUGE SHAME ON THEM ALL FOR THE SHATTERED LIVES, THE SUICIDES AND THE 20 OR MORE DEATHS CAUSED BY STRESS AND SICKNESS, THE SHAME ON EACH FAMILY !

PRIME MINISTER RICHIE SUNAK FIX THE MESS, PROPERLY COMPENSATE THE PEOPLE AND LOCK UP ALL OF THE GUILTY FILTH THAT CAUSED IT !

DREADFUL DRIVEL
9 March 2024
There was so much in this movie that didn't make sense, it's hard to describe! If Meg Ryan wrote the script then why couldn't she manage to keep the limp up throughout the movie! I could go on and on and on about all the things that were wrong with this stinker but the bare bones of it is, after seeing Meg Ryan in an interview with the late great UK interviewer and INSTITUTION Michael Parkinson, we were all horrified at how badly behaved, rude and petulant that Meg Ryan was. Especially with such a hugely respected and renowned interviewer as Parki. Michael Parkinson must have interviewed thousands of stars over his long career but in his "life story and lookback show" on his life's work, he was asked about his highlights and lowlights and with no surprise, he said his worst interview, with the rudest, then star, was Meg Ryan! And, of course, they played it again! I've seen it so many times now and each time I'm appalled at how revolting Meg Ryan was during that interview. So much so, I just can't bear to look at her anymore, with any respect. Ryan burnt her bridges in UK, Australia, New Zealand, Asia.....well anywhere that screened Parki, and he was everywhere worldwide.

MEG RYAN you behaved like a pig, shame on you!

David Duchovney, you did your best with a rubbish script!

ABSOLUTELY LOVED BILL BAILEYS TAKE ON WA
11 January 2024
No pretence, Bill Baileys personality, enthusiasm and inquisitiveness about nature and the people he meets shines through in every scene. His unique style of interviewing brings out the best in the people he meets.

I lived in Western Australia for eight years and saw a fair chuck of it but was overly consumed with building our house. Watching Bill travel to most of the places I've seen was fascinating, especially getting the perspective of a Brit and then seeing beautiful WA through Bills eyes. Well done to you and your crew Bill and thank you for your lovely take on our unique and isolated island home.

ANDREW KNIGHT NEVER DISAPPOINTS ! BRILLIANT !
3 September 2023
Absolutely loved this series from the start. So engrossing I binge watched it. Great cast, great writing and brilliantly acted. Writer Andrew Knight charmed me with Sea Change, made me laugh out loud with Rake and had me hooked on Jack Irish! Welcome to Bay of Fires! I knew it would be great! Andrew Knight has reached national treasure status with me. He never disappoints, always entertaining and absorbing. Congratulations on yet another hit and please please please keep them coming, we'll done to all involved in the making of this excellent series.

And this comes from someone who doesn't particularly like Australian drama/comedy because the dialogue is usually dreadful. Andrew Knight , you've done it again! Thank you.

David Haye REALLY REALLY MAD! Hilarious!!
18 August 2023
I absolutely love the show and The three mainstays are brilliant and very quick witted. Having guests from all walks of life, gives us a great insight into each person's personality, likeability and intelligence. A brilliant concept indeed.

BUT:

Can someone please tell me why David Haye was so angry at having to chew on a dog toy? If looks could kill, poor Rob Brydon would be stone dead.

Someone on the show must want to spill the beans and tell. Had David Haye ever seen the show, did he not realise he would be called on to participate in silly hoaxes on the other contestants, did he think his manhood was being shrunk by pretending to be a baby? What a big spoilsport BABY he is! He's a JOKE now!

GREAT CONCERT, Shame about UNENTHUSIASTIC ROYALTY !
18 May 2023
Great concert, very enjoyable and entertaining. Congratulations to all involved.

I've always adored Prince Charles for his unflinching respect for our planet and I wish him all the very best as King of our commonwealth, from way over here in Australia BUT after watching the concert, I was so dismayed with Charles's semi enthusiasm but mostly with Camilla! Throughout the whole concert, Camilla had a face like a slapped arse, no smile, no banter with her beloved or her grandchildren, nothing. She sat there so unimpressed, I felt like she was inwardly screaming "smoke break, when's my smoke break, I'm so bored"? Or perhaps Camilla was jealous of the the green frocked, chatty, smiley woman on Charles' left. Either way, Camilla scored one out of ten for attitude and attendance, Charles scored three out of ten for showing mild interest in his own concert and William and Kate, a combined five out of ten. The only time this lot perked up was when William made a speech!

Considering it was the coronation concert, shame on you all, THE WORLD WAS WATCHING !!!!!

Hey King Charles, I hope you give the world a big "up ya" concerning climate change and don't toe the firms line and keep quiet, as one would expect! I have high hopes you'll shame the world into drastic action, now, today!

PISTORIUS = GUILTY as SIN !
15 May 2023
I've read and watched a few shows about the murder of Reeva Steenkamp and have always come to the same conclusion, Oscar murdered Reeva and he meant to do it!

His explanation makes absolutely no sense at all. He didn't notice that she was not in bed, he went and shot at the bathroom door and then broke it down, he didn't call police but carried her downstairs.....huh! He was a jealous pig and he murdered Reeva!

As Reevas friend said, when she stayed over she never locked the bathroom door, who does in their own home, except to keep a murderous pig out and then there were the unexplained marks on her body and her screams that all the neighbours heard.

The one thing that baffles me the most is just how bad the lawyers were, in prosecuting Pistorius. Why didn't they get all the answers to the obvious questions and get to the truth and why didn't Pistorius get a life sentence? It was an absolute travesty and they should all hang their heads in shame. Pistorius's brother Carl should have been prosecuted for tampering with his phone too, appalling!

It was a well put together documentary and I sincerely hope that Reeva's parents find some peace.

Oscar Pistorius should rot in jail!

POLICE CORRUPTION, RACISM and GROSS INCOMPETENCE still HAPPENING!
8 May 2023
Brilliant series, well acted by all, telling the tragic true story of revolting white, brainless thugs killing for fun!

All of these pathetic, sick minded, disgusting men who kill for fun must be raised by equally disgusting parents who raise their children to be racist pigs, polluting society wherever they roam. Shame on them all!

Equally, shame should be be heaped on the Metropolitan Police Chiefs who allowed this injustice go on and the criminals to remain free, for years.

In 2020, after the conviction of two out of the five racist thugs, lead investigator Clive got no police recognition but was asked to leave the force, instead of bringing the other three to justice, as he wanted. The Met then closed the case! The prime minister should fire the top police chiefs for gross incompetence, impeding justice and racism.

There are no winners here but huge congratulations to the series makers for highlighting filthy racist pigs and police!

I'm REALLY SORRY I WATCHED THIS TRASH !
5 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
There were lazy, scheming, backstabbing, lying slackers and hard working grafters working towards the end goal of finishing the bridge and getting a share of $250,000.00.

I was so angry that Bardie, who was trusted to walk the bridge, didn't do what everyone expected and that was to share the money with the hard workers! It was so embarrassing to watch her thank each person for all their hard work and then add "But No money for you"!

She had dreams of opening a business, which left me cold! The hard workers got her there, the least she could have done was to share the bootie. I was completely surprised by her selfishness, but even more surprised by her "Scrooginess" and barefaced audacity to thank each one and give them nothing. What a SELFISH COW!

Absolute RUBBISH !!!!

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ENDING?
7 April 2023
I simply cannot fathom how this movie could score repeated 10's.

It was slow moving, with very little dialogue in tedious subtitles, that made this a chore to watch!

The acting was okay but the English dialogue was mumbled and incoherent.

And the ending, clearly the producer and director had had enough and decided to leave it all up in the air. I hate those endings. I think people gushed over "The Shawshank Redemption " because they actually tied up all the loose ends and the finish was totally satisfying.

This movie was depressing, then uplifting and then it stopped.

Rubbish, what a time waster!

East of Everything (2008– )

LOVE LOVE LOVED IT !
29 January 2023
I lived in the Nimbin hills for two years and then moved here to Byron Bay in 2009. To live for fifteen years in this beautiful part of Australia is wonderful but to come across "East of Everything " on ABCiview and binge watch it, has been absolutely fantastic ! Anyone who has ever been to or lived in Nimbin, Mullimbimby, Bangalow, Brunswick Heads, Byron Bay and the hinterland area will absolutely adore this series. And if you haven't, then you'll want to come here. Loved the story line and cast, Richard Roxburgh is brilliant. Loved him in Rake too.

Coming home after working overseas for 20 years, I was delighted to binge watch Sea Change in 2001 and loved every minute of it, having been raised on the Bellarine peninsula, Portarlington and Drysdale, I knew all of the set locations and found it entertaining, quirky and fun to watch. Great story line and cast.

Any reviewers who were not swept along with these two great series are morons and should be slow cooked!

Enjoy! And a big congratulations to all involved in the making, MORE PLEASE !

THIS STORY MADE ME SO MAD !
24 January 2023
Climber Paul attempts a really hazardous climb and is hit on the head by a big rock. He admits that about 30 of his mates are dead because of rock climbing. He climbs the rock 18 years later and admits what the rest of us already know, life is too precious to waste! What an idiot! I think these people are so selfish. They are constantly in pursuit of danger and when they get into s**t, they expect emergency services to risk their own lives to retrieve them. Please don't think about your children, your wife and family, continue to risk your life and have people save you, whilst being a burden on our struggling, broken health system!

Why on earth Australian Story would want to showcase a deeply selfish, moronic twit like Paul, is beyond comprehension. What a waste of Australian tax dollars in the making of this drivel!

GREAT MOVIE, RUBBISH ENDING!
17 January 2023
Excellent performances by all involved but why did they cut the story off?

I absolutely hate movies that don't finish off the story. I don't want it left to my imagination, I want the writers, producers and the directors to finish what they started. Why tell half a story.

I can't be the only one who hates this lazy story telling. A lot of viewers congratulated the Shawshank Redemption team because, at long last, a story had a proper finish. Anyone who has seen Shawshank, knows what I'm talking about. Great movie, great story, great ending!

Review complete, just using up my 52 characters needlessly!

JAMES NORTONs CARDIGAN???
13 January 2023
Great show, loved all the guests but why oh why oh why would James Norton wear that absolutely revolting lilac cardigan? Who goes on a world wide televised talk show and doesn't bother to make any effort at all with their appearance and look like something the dog threw up. I love James Norton as an actor but he is in serious need of an agent who will show some backbone and tell him he looks like rubbish.

Smarten up James Norton, your not visiting granny!

Using up characters because we must type 600 for some ridiculous reason. Why am I forced to waffle when I've said everything that I wanted to say!

What an APPALLING MESS of a CASE !
11 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The Fayette County detective Ted McQuinley should be ashamed of himself!

HE MADE NO NOTES!

He didn't search Denises bedroom, he didn't request her phone records, he interviewed Denises ex boyfriend but didn't check his alibi, which was a big fat lie, and to repeat, he made no notes on who he talked to and the leads he pursued. He laughed and said "it's all in his head", as though he was some mastermind but really just an incompetent, idiotic moron who should never have been a detective. If I was his boss, I would have to question everything he touched or investigated because he's a "A Grade" cretin!

This makes me so mad, that this case was never solved at the time because of dimwit Teds sloppy job. I feel so sad for Denises parents and friends. I hope they find some peace.

Well done to all involved in the making of this documentary and the female detective was brilliant and has a great future ahead of her, she's like a dog with a bone, I wish her the best in life.

Det. Ted McQuinley quoted, "all I know is, something real bad happened that day"!

Well that's stating the obvious and I have to agree, that's all he knows! IDIOT!

TOUGH PELOSI makes DUMB TRUMP look like an Eggplant !
10 January 2023
PELOSI is one of the few politicians who actually stands up for what is right and wants to fight for the good of the people of America. Unfortunately, she is surrounded by yellow bellied snakes who are too afraid of the moron Trump.

Trump has abused and demeaned woman and men, tried to get dirt on Biden through Ukraine's leader, refused to pay taxes, didn't act quickly and assertively with COVID-19 epidemic, which ironically ended up killing mostly his own mindless followers, I could go on and on and on and on. That's just off the top of my head! But most importantly, Trump is a massive LIAR! He's so dumb that he thinks we can't see through his lies. I have never seen a press conference, rally, or any public speaking he's done where he hasn't lied to his idiot, gun toting followers. He's a massive threat to democracy and should be jailed for causing the killing of people.

But worse, Rupert Murdoch of Fox News, who ordered his minions to support Trump because Murdoch likes to destabilise countries and create news, to sell advertising and newspapers. Murdoch is the carbuncle on the ass of humanity and Trump is the ass!

Jail them both for crimes against humanity!

Brilliant documentary, congratulations to all involved!

Man-Made Tragedy!
10 January 2023
A shocking documentary about the sinking of a giant ship.

I wonder if investigators combed the island for Costa shipping management staying in accommodations and hoping to flaunt their big ship to their fat, cigar smoking, whiskey swilling moronic friends, to impress.

The Captain was indeed a coward, as he carried his suitcases ashore after abandoning ship and leaving everyone to fend for themselves.

In 1998, I worked on Superstar Gemini "Star Cruises " out of Singapore and I can tell you the Finnish and Swedish officers would routinely get rolling drunk in the guest bars and on one occasion, two Perth, Australia passengers had to carry a bridge officer back to his cabin because he was so drunk he couldn't walk! And he was back on the bridge five hours later. I know that extensive reports were repeatedly given to head office in Port Klang, regarding the disgraceful behaviour of the bridge officers and absolutely NOTHING happened. I always felt so grateful to be alive , each morning.

The power hungry Swedish Captain did all he could to keep the reports from reaching head office. Mostly Australians would holiday on the Gemini and all those who sailed should be equally grateful to have survived the drunken officers. All of us had to work ten months on with one month off but the officers only worked two months on with two months off, with four, five, six times our monthly pay. The Captain also really enjoyed doing cabin inspections two hours after we had gone to bed! He was a pig!

A solid documentary, well done to all involved and the heroes who saved so many lives.

ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL!
9 January 2023
I watched an episode involving Japan and several others islands and was absolutely appalled!

The commentary, the picture quality and the content looked and sounded like it was from the 1970's.

As I said, absolutely dreadfully! There was nothing fresh or new to be seen. The whole enterprise looked to be so low budget, even the commentator seemed to be lacking any level of enthusiasm, "is it almost tea time yet?"

All the people involved in this abomination should hang their heads in shame and the person who gave the final seal of approval should be sacked. What a giant waste of money. I hope this wasn't government backed, although it wouldn't surprise me. Rubbish rubbish rubbish!

BRILLIANT, MESMERISING!
16 December 2022
The negative reviewers here are brainless twits, who wouldn't know good story telling if it bit them on the bum.

Not usually a fan of Australian dramas. Some of the highly publicised ones I've found to be poorly written, overacted and uninteresting BUT "Nine Perfect Strangers" was brilliant!

The cast, the script, the story and the location were excellent. Especially the story! I binge watched the series and could not guess the outcome. There are not too many shows of such a high standard around, so when one comes along, I'm usually very surprised and delighted.

Congratulations to all involved in the making of this gem ! More please!

GO DAVID POCOCK, YOU GIVE ME FAITH !
15 September 2022
After watching Australian Story and seeing the story of David and his family's life, I'm excited for the future.

I'm not a rugby fan and I didn't know of him before Australian Story, but looking at his face and in his eyes and hearing his story, no wonder he was headhunted to embark on a political career.

David seems to be an honest, conscientious, hardworking, caring man, who is surrounded by like-minded family, and in politics, we desperately need more "representatives of the people" with these traits.

Thank heavens the revolting days of the LYING Liberal Party, Scott Morrison, Tony Abbott and the rest of the sludge are over and they have been voted out! The Liberals trashed Australia in every possible way and I have no doubt that they will never get back in to power with the moronic, lying, ridiculous leader DUTTON, promoted to its leader!

Anthony Albanese is off to a flying start and trying to fix the mess the Liberals created and he would have to do something really bad to be unseated! I think Australia has sighed a collective sigh of relief to be rid of Lying Morrison and with David Pocock in the ring, I feel he will be brilliant at keeping the bastards honest!

I only hope that all ministers front up to the cameras and explain themselves, when the proverbial hits the fan, now and then, and not go into hiding like the cowardly Liberals constantly did. The Liberals should hang their heads in shame, at the mess they made.

Go David POCOCK , I have every faith in you to do the right thing !

The earth will thank you and so will the Australian people ! Take flight and soar!!!!

GREAT EPISODE but Clients sucked!
10 August 2022
Mr & Mrs Boring should have bought both pieces considering the fact that they were so fussy about finding a work for their three year old blank space on the wall. They've left the artist with a picture of their kids and their travels, that she will never be able to sell! Mr & Mrs Boring, you are very selfishly painful people!

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT SERIES !
10 August 2022
Loving all creative pursuits, this series is fantastic! All the artists are so varied and hugely talented and seeing into their lives and work spaces is fascinating. The pace of the show is perfect, many shows waffle about rubbish and it takes ages to get to the last five minutes of the good stuff but this show is perfectly put together.

In most episodes, I would struggle to choose one piece and would have to take both and then wonder what the third artist would have created.

I've never before seen a show that is so well put together and is enthralling to the very end. Congratulations to whoever dreamed up the concept.....BRILLIANT! Also, big congratulations to all involved in this show.

The show works on so many different levels but mostly, it makes me want to commission a piece of art and that helps artists all over the world, where ever this series is aired, love it!
