Devotion (2022)
Fabulous flying, a review from a pilot.
A true story and historically accurate movie that highlights the tough life of carrier borne pilots during the Korean War. It centers is on the relationship between two pilots who back each up in every way possible. Watch it, you will not be disappointed. The aircraft, vehicles and ship carefully reflect this historical period about an all to often forgotten period of history. I was spellbound by the flying sequences and impressed by the numerous special and visual effects. The drama unfolding through the film was very well done and I take off my hat to the director for making this an entertaining yet poignant piece of cinematic art. Captain P.
A Boy Called Christmas (2021)
Kids loved it
An excellent film for the children at Christmas. Settle down and enjoy this fairytale together. A feelgood film with many messages of hope and positivity.
Finding Alice (2021)
We liked it.
A bit Agatha Christie and more like a stage play so we enjoyed it very much as we can't go to the theatre at the moment!
A good yarn and looking forward to the next episode.
The World of Tim Frazer (1960)
The World of Tim Frazer
I was 12 when I watched this series on the BBC. Jack Hedley was my hero and it introduced me to how excellent TV can be. He played an engineer who stumbled on something big and it needed investigation, an enthralling mystery during the 'Cold War'
My homework would go on hold while I watched, it was before video recorders or catch-up TV which has totally revolutionized viewing habits.
The latest BBC rendition called 'The Night Manager' is reminiscent of this series. It has me hooked too.
Does anyone know where I can watch 'The World of Tim Frazer' again, is it available on DVD or online?
