Laapataa Ladies (2023)

Treat Yourself with This Low Budget Masterpiece if You are True Cinema Lover

Before making the movie the makers have done a very well research of rural India. The details shown in the movie about the villages of North India carries the entire movie on its shoulder. Its a social commentary on many superstitious belief which is still being followed very strongly in rural India. The makers have also proven that for showing women empowerment, neither they have to undress girls nor have to give wine glass in their hand. The movie is salad of Light comedy, social drama, social messaging, a hit on negative side of patriarchy and women empowerment. The best part of the movie was it gave many wonderful messages by keeping entire plot of the movie quite light and Comic. Apart from all this makers have also proven the point that we don't need high quality VFX, mega stars and big budget to make a masterpiece as the budget of this movie is only 5 crore as per my knowledge.

Talking about the performances according to me, Sparsh Shrivastava has totally nailed it. Whatever scenes he has got, he performed it with 100% perfection. He along with Nitanshi Goel were having that innocence shown beautifully on big screen. Both were having limited screen timing together but they had wonderful chemistry. Pratibha Ranta was most impactful in the entire move and movie makers tried to give most of the social messages in the movie through her. Through her strong screen presence, she added more value to the messaging part of the movie. Ravi Kishan was most popular face of the movie but makers have utilized him only as supporting cast but he has done wonderful job in that. Each scene of the movie has been directed with heart. Comedy, Emotions, Social Commentary, chemistry between lead casts everything looks very well directed. This kind of direction will tempt me to watch more work of Kiran Rao.

This movie is roof why Aamir Khan is asset of Indian Cinema. Even without his screen presence, he has ability to give this kind of masterpiece. I always believed that movie maker Aamir is better than actor Aamir.

Jawan (2023)

Bollywood ko Hath lagaane se pehle SRK se baat kar

Jawan is not just mass but it is perfect combination of Class with Mass. It presented some problems faced by our country which includes High loans on Farmers, condition of government hospitals, Presence of hazardous factories in residential area of underprivileged population etc. In a wonderful way.

Director Atlee made sure that we are not just visualising SRK on 70mm big screen but he has given chance to all fans of SRK to celebrate him in mass. In other words I can say that the combination of SRK-Atlee has redefined mass cinema. Apart from SRK , Nayanthara was excellent. It was treat to watch her in action packed role. Priya mani, Santa Malhotra, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Leher Khan and Sunil Grover has done complete justice with their character.

If you want to save yourself from lifetime regret, please make sure to celebrate Jawan in your nearest theatre. Please dnt wait for it to come on OTT as Jawan deserves to be celebrated in theatre 😊

Adipurush (2023)

ADIPURUSH: Tarnishing the expectation of Indian Mythology Lovers

Let me start with something positive. Movie started with a good note and "Ram Siya Ram" song gave spiritual pleasure to our ears. Background music and Songs of the movie were really good. But apart from that if I have to say anything about the movie, I must say that makers failed to do their homework while making this epic. Even if we will keep sentiments aside on the name of cinematic liberty, the makers made me feel that they dnt understand cinema. The screenplay is very poor and the dark theme of movie made us feel that we are watching Game of Thrones not Ramayan. Makers made us feel that during Banawaas time of Lord Ram, Surya Dev also went on exile. VFX, CGI and other visual effects were very poor which forced us to think where they have spent 550 crore. Was that even the real budget of the movie or just some Random numbers were given to create hype. Movie makers need to understand that in big budget movie, if money is being spent on paying the fee of movie stars then we cant make a good cinema. Good cinema can only be made if budget is being spent more on VFX, Dialogue writing, CGI etc. And less on paying fee of actors.

Talking about actors the selection of Case were horrible. No offence to Prabhas obviously he is one of the biggest star of the Country but he don't look like Lord Ram from any angle. Off course the beauty of Kriti Sanon is exceptional but for Goddess Sita we need beauty plus someone who is having Indian Look. Extra sharp feature of Kriti failing her to look like Sita. Selecting Saif as Ravana is perhaps biggest selection disaster of history of movie Industry. O n top of that giving him Khilji like look just poured Ghee in the Fire. In my opinion if they would have selected Rajat Tokas as Lord Ram and Shweta Basu Prasad as Mata Sita, that would have been perfect selection. These two are not less than anyone when it comes to acting and also they would not have charged like Prabhas and Kriti. That money could have been spent on VFX, CGI and other Visuals so that at least we would have got some visual treat.

If I have to talk about performances, Kriti somewhere did justice with Sita Mata character. But she couldn't able to do much because of her limited presence on Screen. Prabhas tried his best. He even did justice of his star power but he miserable failed to made us feel the presence of Lord Ram on big screen. His flat expression throughout the movie has made the things even worst and we couldn't able to connect ourselves from the movie. About Saif as Ravan, I literally have no words. Trailer made me feel that he must have done good performance wise but witnessing him in this character on big screen was most horrible part of the movie. If we will try to ignore his looks and appearance on the name of Cinematic Liberty, his performance made things even more worse. He was walking like a thanos and his dialogue delivery was soo poor that his presence on screen was causing irritation.

At last I will only say , please keep yourself away from Adipurush. If you want to show story of Lord Ram to your children, better to go with 'Ramayan of Ramananda Sager'or even Japanese Cartoon movie 'The Legend of Prince Ram'.

Pathaan (2023)

PATHAAN: A Saviour Of Bollywood

This is called a proper Comeback. SRK disappeared from big screen since 5 years but who knew that when he will come back, he will also bring storm at box office. If I have to review Pathaan in one line, I will only say that it's a treat for action movie lovers. Hollywood level kind Action Sequences will just blow your mind and you can see the hard work done by the team. They also took the pain of shooting the movie at different locations and did full justice with it. Both SRK and Deepika has shown their international stardom and also set a different kind of standard. John was also very impressive.

Brahmastra Part One: Shiva (2022)

An Excellent Attempt to Change Indian Cinema

In one word if I will have to describe Brahmastra it will be , WOW. I am a typical Marvel fan and I must say that any Indian movie which is most close to Marvel is this one. The movie will give you visual treat as this kind of VFX can be seen first time in India. Even too Hollywood production house like 20 Century Fox have praised the movie. I must say we need to go and watch movie in theatre (preferably in I MAX 3D as it is very genuine attempt to start something new in Indian Cinema. Yes plot was a bit weak due to too much of Love Story but let's as a Cinema lover we need to give them for VFX.

Darlings (I) (2022)

Literally A Treat for Movie Lovers

For all those who look for different content, here is your turn. This movie is different from any other Indian movie in many ways. It will make you think and analyse. A conserved mind may not understand this movie but if you are open and non judgemental, this movie will force you to fell in love with it. On top of that brilliant performance by Alia and the entire team. Each and every actor seems to justify the character which he/she is playing. Dnt go on negative review, they are just those people who know to spread hatred. If you miss on this movie, you are actually missing a big fish.

Samrat Prithviraj (2022)

Disappointing screenplay of such a glorious History

This kind of moview actually discredit our glorious history. Our warriors were brave and they were having very pure ideology. We need not show fake things to portray their bravery. Prithviraj died in 1192 which was immediately after 2nd battle of Tarain and Mohd. Ghori died in 1206. Yet in movie Prithviraj was shown killing Ghori. Even if we ignore this part, the way they have shown how Prithviraj was captured is actually very insulting for such a great warrior. Plus in the movie they have shown that Prithviraj was taken to Ghori and he was being tied in cross. Let me tell the makers of the movie that crucification on cross was never part of Indian history. Overall very poor home work by Directors and actors.

Sooryavanshi (2021)

Nothing new from Rohit

Most of the scenes of the movie is being copied from one other. There is nothing new in the movie. It's like any other movie of Rohit Shetty on any given day. Most of the stunts look fake and being done by body double.

9.5 for this web series. It's really too much. I left this web series in the middle only. Yes it is a good show for all the stock market lover but it is definitely overrated. The plot is boring and it will be liked only by limited audience. It won't cover the vast audience. Th best tv web series of all the time is still Breaking Bad. This one is nowhere close to it.

Class of '83 (2020)

Again a masterpiece off beat movie by Red Chillies

I would like to salute the Director for this attempt. Now where most of the directors and producers are busy in launching star kids, this movie has given opportunities to new talent. I must say that those young talent have done fabulous job and to me it never appeared that it's their first movie. Talking about Bobby Deol, it's so good to see him after so long and he did a decent job as Dean and Police officer. Anup Soni uses all his experience of crime patrol.

Talking about the movie it's different from Bollywood drama. There is not even a single song in the movie and its content based like Hollywood movies.

In the end I would just say that it's a must watch movie. If you are not watching you are missing one of the finest movie of the country.

Fan (I) (2016)

That is why there is only one SRK

At last i just wanna say that there is difference in do not know how to act and do not want to act. Last 2-3 movies of SRK were not as per the expectation and it may be because he never wanted to act. But in FAN when he want to act, entire cine Industry can feel the difference. In my life first time i saw audience applauding at the end and it was certainly for mind blowing performance of Shahrukh. A proud moment for all the SRKians and now proudly we can say our King is Back. Just one word for FAN: Mind blowing. I feel it was the best movie i saw in past five years. No words for Shahrukh. You cant act like that until and unless your name is Shah Rukh Khan.
