Logan (2017)
Entertaining, dark movie with some mistakes....
The movie is entertaining but a little depressing and dark as BvS. Unfortunately, this is closer to a real life scenario, but we want to go to the cinema to have a good time and better yet, laugh, and not many jokes in this film.
**Spolier but not that big of a spoiler, LoL
Some inaccuracy in the movie, when Logan tells Professor Xavier ¨We 'll ride down to Yelapa and buy a boat¨ which is inaccurate because to get to Yelapa (which is not an island and it's located south of Puerto Vallarta in Mexico), you have to get a boat first because there are no car roads to Yelapa.
Also, the term Federale* (as in Tamale) is inaccurate, the correct term for singular is Federal (as in Tamal) and for plural is Federales (as in Tamales). *Imdb Check your Logan Cast/Character Listing.
Mexican Federales and bad guys including a younger, stronger Logan clone are after (mexican character) Laura, the girl, played by Spanish/British actress Dafne Keen. She speaks Spanish in the movie an a little English. She does a great job and it seems she will be the next wolverine.
The movie does its job entertaining, to me, I don't like to watch too many dark movies (Hollywood needs to get back to the 80s era where there were hundreds of comedy, adventure and family films to choose from) and it also needs to get creative and stop remaking great classics.
The Call Up (2016)
Awful movie!!!
I watched it with another gamer and I have to say that we rather watch paint dry on a wall...
The acting is awful, the music sounds a lot like a suspense or horror movie from the 80's! Lousy for this age.
The only thing I liked was the suits. That's it!!
The trailer shows a promising movie but it sucked so much that right after the "game" starts I got so bored I almost felt asleep. I just watched it to see which lousy character/"actor/actress" survived.
As another reviewer said, the good reviews about this movie must be from friends/family/people that worked on the movie...because it really sucks. Too bad, the idea for the movie was good.
Sundown (2016)
I expected it to be entertaining but....
I expected it to be entertaining but unfortunately I wanted to leave the theater in the first 30 minutes. The movie has a lot of very cheap jokes which made it look like a cheap movie. Also contains several scenes of women showing their breasts and a scene of a penis and several other things. But nothing beyond that. Not for kids though.
I hanged in and it picked up the pace a little bit after the car chase scene. The Mexican cab driver was fun so that helped the movie.
I was expecting more because the movie (I believe) seems to be trying to bring publicity to Puerto Vallarta (Mexico) which is one of the best vacation destinations but the writing sucks.
The music is great though and it has some beautiful scenes from the city (not enough to show its whole beauty, unfortunately)
But I guess some people might find it entertaining. I just think the cheap jokes were not needed to make it entertaining.
