Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023)
Bad cgi all over
When the first two minutes start with truly awful CGI you know you're in for a treat.
It really is far below par.
Especially when you realize it's 2024 and not 1995.
No matter how hard each and every other character is trying to pull this movie into something watchable, it is and stays utter crap.
Every scene looks like it was made just post Amiga 500.
The snow, the backgrounds and the lighting.
And as for the character goes. Well, what can one say. Shallow and also below par.
The only person pulling her weight is Amber.
But only because she's a cute ft. Nothing else.
I stopped watching after 30 mins.
Killers of the Flower Moon (2023)
It's a wrap?
Sooo, where to start?
Let me start with the end. I have never seen a movie being wrapped up in a jiffy like this one.
What on earth is up with this ending? Who wrote this stuff.
Was the budget cap reached? Were the writers on strike when nearing the end of this movie?
If you are looking for a tattered end, this is your movie.
Be prepared it is going to be a looong sit to make it to the end as well. The story slowly develops to make the point it wants to make.
Sloooowwww. Did I mention slow?
The cinematography is on par and so is the music.
It takes some getting used to to see Leonardo act the way he acts. Overall he does a good job.
But the ending... This ending will haunt me for the rest of my life.
House of the Dragon (2022)
Dump the main actrice in a jiffy?
With Milly Alcock dropped and replaced the show went south pretty darn fast.
The script feels rushed and it's too complicated to be rushed.
With the main character, who is carrying the whole show, gone there's no reason for me to continue watching.
Although it started off pretty promising. But it just doesn't seem to be able to make the promise come true.
There are a LOT of characters playing their fair bit but the back story behind those characters is never explained nor is there any effort to even attempt such thing.
I myself are pretty disappointed and adjusted my earlier rating of 7 stars waayy down to a measly 3 stars.
Brian and Charles (2022)
Not the Brian I was expecting
This was a completely other Brian than I was expecting.
Not as funny and not as 'filthy'...
What happened to the Brian from Derek?
He looks the same, but seems brainwashed.
Pity.
Ambulance (2022)
Did someone got a drone
For his birthday?
The drone footage is so much it's almost nauseating.
Up, under, over and through.
Come on. I had to stop watching because I got airsickness.
Space Force (2020)
Ben is pulling
His weight...
It took me some time to get into this show, but after a few episodes it started to get pretty funny actually.
In the second season Ben Schwartz is really taking it to level 2.0
Sure, it's not a 10, but not a 5 also.
So a seven it is ;)
Halo (2022)
The horror!
Well... When it comes to CGI, acting and cinematography.
It's obviously not my cup of tea and neither it should be yours.
I stopped watching after 17 minutes of pain.
Black Mirror (2011)
Shame it got canceled
It got me entertained from the first episode.
For some reason it always seems to tickle the mind and make you think about how you would react being in the same situation.
Eternals (2021)
I was entertained!
Despite the haters I was pretty entertained with this movie.
The visuals looked good, acting was watchable.
And the story was actual fun too.
Yeah, I'd see it again.
Planet Dune (2021)
I gave it a shot
Judging on the title I kinda knew what to expect.
And I was not disappointed ! ;)
What actor has such low standards, or is so much job-hungry to actually sign in on this plot?
Save your self the effort and don't watch this low budget pulp.
I gave it an extra star for their effort though.
Old (2021)
Omg, the acting
The acting is absolutely horrid.
So bad it made me laugh from time to time.
I'm not sure if this movie was meant to be a comic.
Climax (2018)
Mehh
Mediocre at best.
I myself did lot's of acid (and other candy since these are the perks for living in Amsterdam) and also had some serious bad trips.
But none of them were anything close to what I just watched.
I was hoping for more first person views like in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas etc.
But none of that unfortunate.
Noé made up for that in Enter the Void though hehe.
Loki (2021)
O sweet jebus
I am really loving every single minute of this.
It sure looks amazing and the characters are fun to watch.
Every episode makes me wonder what will happen next.
I'm not sure why people are being harsh with one star reviews.
And then that voice of Tom. OMG.
Stowaway (2021)
Writing could have been a tad better
Despite the fact Scott Manley helped advise, there were some really strange writing choices.
Why don't they tether along the cables?
Why not tether the ONE thing that is needed in keeping you alive?
Why not reel in the cables? Who invents a gravity system that cannot be reversed.
Ah well, there are a ton more questions, but I'll leave it at this.
Cosmic Sin (2021)
I gave up
I tried to give it a chance.
Did not read reviews on forehand to stay unbiased.
I gave up after 20 minutes. This is utter crap.
Bad acting, bad scenery and the most annoying part is the film makers made the assumption the viewers have a sun 80 IQ.
The decisions made by the characters are so awfully dumb they make you doubt your own life....
For All Mankind (2019)
Give your self cancer?
So in order to get to Wubbo (who is already bombarded with radioactive waves) you decide to get free cancer for your self as well?
This is where the series has gone south for me too.
No astronaut would do this. Period.
Tenet (2020)
My mind got fugged.
And it got fugged slowly.
I'm still in doubt what to find of this movie.
Do I like it? Do I hate it? Still not sure.
I'll give it a second watch since this is really needed to understand all the quirks in the storyline.
What were the writers thinking? No one will ever know I'm afraid.
Sputnik (2020)
What a lame promise!
In the trailer I was promised :
"It wipes the floor with its Hollywood counterparts".
"Excellent gory nail biter"
"One of the most suspenseful SF movies in years"
What movie had they been watching?
Because there's absolute no way they've been reviewing Sputnik!
Koma (2019)
Pleasantly surprised!
I was surprised by the beauty of this movie.
Exceptional scenery and acting was up to par as well.
It's not inception and it isn't meant to be.
If you watch this movie not expecting Inception, you're in for a treat!
Perpetual Motion (2021)
Shame it got cancelled
Never seen the light of day.
Which is a shame imho.
Upload (2020)
Write holes
Performance is above average.
That being said, the writing could have been much better imho.
Way to many things are left unexplained after season one.
Fran's car drives off a pier. You hear people scream, so they saw it happen.
Yet Fran went missing? They don't fish cars out of the water in the future?
There's is so much room for A.I. Guy to give him a double agenda and create another plausible story line.
Same goes for Lucy.
This list continues.
See (2019)
I tried
I think this show is written especially for blind people.
The only way to enjoy this show is with your eyes closed or being blind.
The characters appear to be blind.
But there are soooo many things that are wrong and incorrect, it's a complete turn off.
The Walking Dead (2010)
The same bs, the same bs
It's the same thing over and over.
They are trying to bore me to death and make me into a zombie.
I gave up on this once loved show.
Us (2019)
What did they watch
What on earth did the other reviewers watch?
A complete other movie? Must be.
This one is not worth your time. Boring af.
Anne (2018)
This is what you get...
When you are allowed to make a movie with your new iPhone...
I bumped it up one star because of the cuteness of Natalie Pitcher.
