The Orville (2017)
Why does anyone like it
As both a Family Guy and Star Trek fan I really can't understand what people see in this show - it is one huge disappointment. It has virtually no humor (even crude humor). It happens on a space-ship, but somehow manages to be barely sci-fi. it is a boring show mainly about the captain's awkward, obsessive feelings about the first mate - enough already. The characters are barely drawn, and the plots are tedious and uninteresting.
Put this one out of its misery.
The Mysteries of Laura (2014)
ugh
I wanted to like this light hearted cop comedy but it was just way too heavy-handed with the family stuff. Apparently Laura was the only person in the world to make a baby and she is just so amazing for having done so. She is split from her ex because he cheated - which sucks, but she brings it up in every conversation they ever have (and since they work together they talk a lot). Forgive him or don't, but shut-up about it already. Became unwatchable by season two - too bad because it could have been a decent show.
Haven (2010)
OK at first
the first two seasons were OK - not great. By the third season I was already sick of the Nathan/Audrey relationship and it only got worse. By the end I was actively routing against them. A couple of good characters drag the whole show barely to the finish line. I hate myself for seeing it though to the end - time I'll never get back.
Black Rose (2014)
black rose -ugh
I can't believe how boring this movie is. The acting was bad, the chemistry was bad, the script was dull. The plot was a good one they should have been able to do more than they did with it.Blood and gore alone do not make a great action/mystery movie (or apparently even a good one). I could not wait for it to be over.
Bella and the Bulldogs (2015)
Agonizing
I really wanted to like this show - a girl forging her path against the cultural grain - except she isn't. It seems Nick does not have the courage to go against gender stereotypes. They take the risk of putting a girl into boys' sports, but then double down on the female stereotype and craft a character that is more of a caricature. They encase her in pink glitter and ridiculous, overdone hair; she is soft-spoken and sweet; she would make Beaver Cleaver a great little wife. Males have reason to be offended by this show as well. The boys are all portrayed as two dimensional idiots who couldn't find their way out of a wet paper bag without Bella.
