Batwoman (2019)
Obviously, there are some serious problems with this show... But.....
I'll agree, there are a lot of major issues I have with this show. However, I didn't think it was so bad, that we should have given it a 3.3 rating. I gave the show a raging of 6 stars for a number of reasons. First, that I'm aware of, she's the first major character in the DC show universe. That alone is a huge accomplishments. I think the story lines are relatable, in the sense of complex relationships, and being a masked superhero. As with most people, I absolutely hated her costume! I think it played too much on the stereotype that a lesbians goal is to "be like a man." I think the red wig is absolutely ridiculous! However, if they were to stay true to the design of the comics, perhaps there was no other way of doing it.
I Am Mother (2019)
I Am Shocked!
I am so shocked that this movie got such high ratings. First off, let me say that it is very difficult to put together a 2 hour movie, with only 3 main actors, and keep people interested. The only reason why I wanted to watch it was because of the high ratings. Now, the film did have a nice build-up, very nice action scenes. However, the ending was horrible!! This is a movie were you expect to have an ending where there is no real ending. Trust me, you will be cursing at the TV by the time you finish this movie. I don't know whether or not the directors/writers see this as funny or not....... It's not!! Don't do this to fans, unless you already be approved for a sequel.!!!!! And since it's a Netflix product (the king of cancellations), there will be noe!!
Spawn (1997)
Honestly.......
Honestly, I really don't understand why this movie has such a low rating. I theroughly enjoyed this movie. John Leguizamo was hilarious! In fact, I think Leguizamo and White and great acting chemistry. Lots of action, great special effects for it's time, and it had a perfect blend of dark comedy that not that many writers can pull off. Guys, lighten up, this has got to be my ultimate favorite Michael Jai White move.
