The Crow: Wicked Prayer (2005)
This is the worst movie I think I've ever watched....
The story is exquisitely disgusting and moronic. The dialogue only tanked the entire film, nor were there any points in which the dialogue got any better. It kept the film filled with a nice blend of cheddar, swiss, and mozzarella, and none of it was any Gouda. Yeh that last sentence was pretty cheesy, but not as cheesy as this movie. It feels like watching a straight to DVD film, which sucks. No movie should feel like that even if it is. It doesn't seem like any of the actors rehearsed for any of the roles, not even Hopkins which was just horrible. As far as I'm concerned this movie tanked the careers of all involved, and none should ever work again, and besides, the franchise died in the second movie. None of them were as good as the first one, which I respect a lot, but the first one wasn't even that marvelous, but it did suffice. I rented this movie for a buck, and I feel ripped off, and more-so less intelligent for seeing it. This movie doesn't deserve to be rated with thumbs, but if I did rate it, It would be 2 (japanese and Mexican actors playing native Americans) thumbs down.
Revolver (2005)
Thank You Guy Ritchie.....
First off, I would like to say...thank you Guy Ritchie, for writing a script that delivers such a powerful message, that isn't lovey dovey or sugar coated. I originally only watched this movie because I heard Luc Besson had a hand in it somewhere, but after seeing it, I am now a Guy Ritchie advocate. Before, I could only really stomach "Snatch", but this movie, in my opinion, totally blows it away as far as script writing. Jason Statham delivered an awesomely strong performance for having to play the part of a man torn between his own frailties and enlightenment. Ray Liota, did well for reprising his role as a villain, and even heighten emotional content for the movie at the end. I even thought Andre 3k did well for playing the role of the mastermind. I only wish the description
for this movie was a little more accurate than the one here. For all of you who will only see the surface area of this movie, you'd be better off watching cartoons or a chick flick where everything is explained to you.
For those adept of mind, and want to have to really watch a movie twice, to make sure you caught what it is saying. Watch Revolver. It is for you.
also, check out, "Forte.741.com"...another movie(by me)that you would also probably enjoy.
Moon Child (2003)
Wow...Just wow.
I did not expect the performances of Gackt and Hyde to be as well done as they were, nor did I expect them to be cast in such an artistic well-developed movie with enough plot to keep you interested and enough diversity to make it original. This movie was an unexpected masterpiece for me, and I'll be on the lookout for the next movie like it. I especially like the fact that it is a vampire movie, but it wasn't a cheesy vampire flick, nor did it over embellish that fact. The characters all had human traits. The way it shows the growth of the characters was incredibly tasteful, and it makes you actually feel sorry for them throughout their lives. I give this movie two thumbs so far up. Definitely the best movie I have seen in the past five years.
