Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
A lot of damage done
This was just a disaster, The Last Jedi didn't even do as much damage as this. I'm not gonna spoil anything but the character choices here are just poorly written.
Frozen II (2019)
Very entertaining and emotional!
'Frozen 2' is the sequel to the 2013 Disney animated classic 'Frozen'. In this six year gap, Disney pulled off a very exciting story that follows Elsa as he discovers the origin of her powers!
This follow up is a little darker than the first but not entirely dark as there's loads of great lighthearted funny moments, especially with the cute character Olaf! However, do expect that younger viewers may not enjoy this one as much as it also does have a more complex storyline that may be tricky for them to follow.
The animation was Disney's best and one of the best I've seen since YEARS! Awesome little details, very unique atmosphere designs and art direction.
The songs were GOOD but not GREAT. Especially, compared to the first movie. I can guarantee that "Into The Unknown" was supposed to be the new "Let It Go", it's a beautiful song but doesn't quite capture the essence of the original song! "Show Yourself" and Kristoff's song "Lost in the Woods" will be VERY popular I'm guessing! And I do think that Olaf should stick to making jokes in the movie rather than singing.
The story was complicated and good but again, not as great as the first perhaps but still a very good one that will leave unanswered questions answered (nearly).
But to round it off, 'FROZEN 2' was beautiful, exciting and will definitely want you coming back for more!!
Joker (2019)
Nope
Sorry, this movie didn't do it for me. It was VERY predictable and clichè, not a lot to see except the main stars performance. I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to watch it on TV.
Captain Marvel (2019)
Awesomeness at its finest!
This movie is real-great. It's structured to the traditional MCU formula, which works. However, the film also does things differently with the way the film has been painted from paper to screen. Gorgeous visuals and compelling performances from Brie Larson and the supporting cast! Must watch, for all MCU and superhero fans!
Happy Death Day 2 U (2019)
I had a good time.
I had a good time and that's key with movies like these. They are silly, wacky and is full of some pure hardcore entertainment.
The Hate U Give (2018)
A great film, start to finish.
I didn't think this film would be much, it was only until I saw critics scores and clips that made me see it. I have to say this film is a gem, definitely strikes as one of the best movies of the year. The performances were delivered so well, espically from the lead actress, really felt like a character that you could relate too. The way how the social commentary played out was inspiring and empowering. The script is fine but of course nothing outstanding, it's the story from Angie Thomas, the performances and direction from the director. I disliked the way certain characters were shown and I didn't really favour the ending too much but either way, this film is really underrated by audiences. I wonder why...
Ava Max: Sweet but Psycho (2018)
Soooo Bad
Rubbish worse that YouTube Rewind it is sooo sweet but cringe not psycho and cheesy so I dislike it
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017)
I hated it
This is even worse than the last one. I found this so utterly boring and just pure cheesy and let me mention the terrible script. I even got bored watching this in 4D wonder how painful it'll be watching this normally. The CG was pathetic. Acting was pathetic. Script was even worse than pathetic and Johny Depp's acting was just terrible. The plot, where to start with the plot, oh yeah, it hasn't got any plot. I can't believe that Disney gave us a good film like Beauty And The Beast and then they give this pile of ...poo. Don't even think about wasting your time.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul (2017)
Best Comedy Movie Of The Year!!!!
This film made me cry!!! Why do people hate this. I actually first watched it alone but then I realised I should watch it with my family and I was able to connect with it so much more!!!!! I think that in the film industry we should look for films that aren't there for commercial purposes like 'Justice Leauge' and 'Cars 3'. This film had amazing acting and a great plot which was humorous and sad at points. I really loved the use of 90's music it really showed the family's connections. I personally really enjoyed it, this film should at least be 7/10 not 3/10 that's so underrated, I also can't believe that critics hated it because this film is fabulous.
Beauty and the Beast (2017)
Wow
Omg!! This film is amazing!!! So underrated it's the best Disney film since years!!! Belle is such a young empowering woman and the beast tells us to never judge anyone by looks. But the film is so visually stunning, and even though I'm a massive Marvel fan, "Logan" was great but "Beauty and the Beast" is just so unique, charming and so cute!!! I adore the character LeFou being gay because it can boost self-esteem for the LGBT community and the fact he kissed Gaston?? Wow. I really enjoyed the film!! I mean I would give it 10 but the CGI sort of ruins it. It was rather weak. I can't wait for more live-action Disney films because this is the best film after the Sheshawnk Redemption.
Finding Dory (2016)
Fantastic , but lacks something
I remember Finding Nemo, it was great, I remember seeing those vibrant fish and the true story of family and love.Finding Dory, takes a different route, while its still about family and friendship, it does have more of a darker story and is more deeply emotional. Dory, who is a blue tang fish suffers from short term memory loss. Her parents, Jenny and Charlie lose her. Dory, than meets Marlin, a clown-fish who's looking for his son. (This happens in Finding Nemo). Now we go onto the story of Finding Dory. The little blue tang fish is living near to her friends, Marlin and Nemo. But Dory's memories of her long-forgotten parents come flooding back to her. Dory than asks her old friends and new to help her discover her past. The story is very simple but decent , the screenplay was fine too, the editing kind of bothered me, but what did bother me the most was the characteristics. So we have the good ones from Finding Nemo. Than we have Hank, a weak and a unnecessary character to the Pixar franchise. Overall, I would recommend this movie although it does seem like a film on a commercial purpose.
