Rambo: Last Blood (2019)

Interesting concept!

I found it quite fascinating at the end where Rambo used Viet Cong's techniques to subdue an overwhelming force! In effect he used his old enemy's techniques to defeat new ones! Very interesting concept indeed 👍 The 60s music in the tunnel added so much reminiscing from the Vietnam war time warp! 😁

The only thing I disliked was Rambo getting roughed up by thugs. We are not used to see our hero getting beaten up like that.

As you would guess by now I am a staunch fan of the franchise lol Can't wait for the next Rambo movie to be made! 😂 Well done Sly and good luck with the next one! 🙂

I'm not a fan of romantic comedies but this was fantastic! 😁 Put a huge smile on my face. It was uplifting, positive and funny. Who would have thought, a rom com within a rom com! lol

As good as a romantic comedy can get 👍👍👍

DeLorean fans would love this movie!

DeLorean enthusiasts and fans of the great John DeLorean will love this movie. What an amazing man, amazing car and a sad but amazing story.

In a parallel universe where genius, passion and commitment is recognized and rewarded, DMC is still alive making cars with a dozen DeLorean models in a dozen colours... Sadly we live in this one.

The accents in this movie are near impossible to understand. That is, for anyone who has grown up outside UK! That is a huge mistake producers have made for a movie that was supposed to have gone global. Watching this movie was a frustrating experience to say the least.

Us (II) (2019)

Nonsensical story plot

These guys are good at making gripping movies but have no idea about putting together a logical plot. Their stories make no sense as we saw in 'get out'. The end result: the viewer walks away unsatisfied!!!

I am frankly unimpressed, and that was the polite take!

Cobra Kai (2018–2025)

"Perfection" as far as remakes go!

This series was written, acted and filmed with perfection as far as a remakes are concerned. From general story plot to small flashbacks it was just incredible! Loved it.

I think we also might have witnessed something big: the birth of online video distribution. Time will show...

Irritating and stupid

I found this movie to be extremely irritating and stupid. The whole premise of the movie is just stupid; what are people supposed to do, opened their doors to wild life so that animal can ransack their houses?! This from a country that "An Englishman's home is his castle"!!!

Atlantis Rising (2017 TV Movie)

One of James Cameron's worst!

This doco is nothing but stupid speculation. They are looking at all the wrong places, trying to make unfitting pieces of puzzle fit. I went into this documentary film with great anticipation only to be disappointed.

Being in the Naval engineering profession I know people who have all the answers Cameron is looking for. They have tried tooth and nail to contact him and did not even receive a short reply as courtesy. Arrogance and celebrity-godship has blinded James Cameron to the point he is only in touch with celebrities and so called celeb-experts.

Used to be a fan of James Cameron; no longer.

Darkest Hour (2017)

Overrated garbage

This movie was so boring I could not see it to the end. This strange lighting added further annoyance to the experience! What were the makers trying to achieve?!

As for Gary Oldman's performance: He IS English!!! How difficult could it be for him to speak with an English accent?!

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017)

COMPLETELY Unsuitable lead actor

A completely unsuitable lead actor ruined this otherwise great story. WHAT on earth were the casting directors thinking about when they chose this guy to be there lead actor. It's not for a moment believable that he pulls off all these brave, daring, tough guy stuff. Neither is the on-screen romance believable between this loser and the lead actress.

The lead actress was also unsuitable for the role but perhaps not as bad. No body would look at these two and say "I want to be like them or look like them or be in their shoes" let alone wanting to follow them for two hours and twenty minutes.

Surely $180 million could have secured proper casting. I am pondering for the first time about how crucial it is too have competent casting.

The choice of film title was also disastrous. They should have chosen a shorter name with more impact.

Irritating garbage with no sense of direction

For those looking for a meaning in this movie, news flash: there isn't one!!! The writer just put together a bunch of rubbish to make a buck.

There is no clarity, no sense of direction, no character development, nothing but a whole heap of nonsensically obscure irritation.

Do yourself a favor and invest your time and energy in watching a more worthwhile movie cos this is just trash!

Geostorm (2017)

Unrealistic, implausible, uninteresting

This movie is RUBBISH! How it cost $120 millions seriously makes my head go around! It deserves a minus rating, 1 star is too generous.

Every once in a while a movie comes along where everything is out of place, This is one such movie. Screenwriters were apparently under the impression that putting Hollywood clichés together like pieces of lego can do the job; seriously?!

Needless to say that even the researchers were incompetent. Not only tsunamis are a geological phenomena, the Persian gulf does not experience megatsunamis as it is too shallow! All the researchers had to do was to look at a bathymetric map. Makes me wonder where the $120 millions went.

Loving Vincent (2017)

Transports you to the world of Van Gogh

WHAT an amazing movie! Unique in every way. It is not a movie at all one could argue, it's "Art in motion". Not any art but Vincent Van Gogh's art!

This movie literally transported me to the world of Vincent Van Gogh and how he would have perceived the world. Very innovative to use his artwork to generate characters, I loved it.

The only problem I experienced was that I often got caught in the artwork and lost my focus from the story line. Will have to watch it again. Well done to everyone involved.

Girls Trip (2017)

What an unpleasant movie

I can't remember a time when I watched a more disgusting movie than this. Once again an over-rated rubbish that seemed to have done well at box office for unknown reasons! By the way I did not understand half the spoken words as the actresses seem to speak a language other than English!!! Either way I Don't think I missed much.

One final word: this movie is not funny. In case anyone needed clarification.

I thought it was a nice movie and really enjoyed it. Glad I did not pay attention to negative reviews. I frankly don't get what everyone is complaining about, it's a children's movie! Furthermore the story is very innovative and creative. It is not claiming to be James bond, Startrek or something it is not! It's a movie where character are Emojies.

Those who did not like this film have lost touch with their inner child. Very sad...

Death Note (I) (2017)

It was a good movie, I found it to be very stimulating with a fine plot.

I am surprised it has not been given the recognition it deserves. Although I have not seen the original as some reviewers have pointed. It certainly is not a 1 star movie as many users have suggested!!! Far from it, let's be fair!

Good use of music and soundtracks throughout the movie,an added bonus. I really enjoyed it.

Get Out (I) (2017)

Great movie with some loose ends

This movie is very innovative and refreshing, a breath of fresh air.

I was however disappointed with some loose ends towards the end of the movie. For instance why were they targeting black people? The reason given was that African Americans have 'superior strength'! That is not a convincing rationale.

It was also not clear why some victims were alive and some were not. Or were they using the brain only or the individual organs such as eyes.

Also the opening scene of the movie did not resonate with the overall story. It's either abduction or 4 months of intensive deceit!

Nevertheless 8 stars!

Logan (2017)

A very human superhero movie

This movie is very refreshing in that it brings a human dimension to the saturated superhero genre.

Another thing I loved about this movie is that it is totally unpredictable. For the first time in my living memory I could 'completely' not predict which direction the story is moving towards. Quite a rarity in this day and age.

Deepwater Horizon (2016)

I loved it, but...

I totally loved this movie, but I am an oil and gas engineer​! I live and breath these stuff! There were times, especially in early stages of the movie, I scratched my head thinking "would people understand what's being said?!"

Procedures, equipment names, technical expressions are too much for the common viewer. I guess the makers did a reasonable job with simple explanations in the form of subtitles such as 'negative pressure test'. 'A test to examine integrity of the well', a simple but effective explanation.

Post explosion I liked the CGI details. That was when I realized why this movie has cost $150 million.

Great movie.

The Great Wall (I) (2016)

WHAT a ridiculous movie!

This movie is ridiculous to the point it is painful to watch! It is simply an embarrassment!

Female acrobats jumping to spear monsters the size of army trucks??? I mean come on! By the way half of them get eaten by the monsters like human fishing baits! And what for?! The monster can simply be attacked by arrows and projectiles.

This movie looks like a lame attempt (a very lame attempt!) to make a Hollywood style movie about China. The fact that it is made with dual language makes it even more ridiculous and unbelievable. It should have been either in English or Chinese. I watch Chinese movies with subtitles all the time and some are magnificent, specially the ones​ from Hong Kong.

To my surprise most mainland Chinese have supported this movie cos they simply enjoy ANY publicity on the global stage. The stars you see are artificially inflated for this reason. The real star rating is much lower!

And just for the record This movie was so bad I could not even finish it. If you can, good luck to you!

Passengers (I) (2016)

A nonsensical, poorly written story with lots of holes

This story has so many holes in it I could not get my head around it.

Firstly, why would the company makes those incredibly elaborate billion dollar infrastructures AND maintain them for 120 years so that they are used for a meager 4 months!!!! It's nonsensical at best. It does not make any financial sense, especially for a private company looking to make profits.

How could the food on board last for 120 years?!

Where is the source of water and sunlight to turn the spaceship into an elaborate rainforest?!

The passengers are supposed to be asleep for 120 years, so why on earth is the p.a. system announcing "passengers please proceed to the viewing area to watch a star close up"???!!!

Why does the Android suddenly reveals the secret?!

There are also those lucky coincidences that are only there to take the story forward. Such as when the captain wakes up! Among 5000 passengers and crew the captain is the only person that happens to wake up!!!

Poor job, very disappointing.

Doctor Strange (2016)

One of Marvel's best

This movie is fantastic. I truly enjoyed watching it!

Unlike most other movies of Marvel franchise, there is a heavy emphasis on character development. This keeps audience glued to the story on a deep cellular level.

The movie is littered with spiritual themes which adds further depth to this already amazing story.

Those who like movies and TV series of medical genre are in for a treat. As the title suggests the story involves a doctor.

I also like how the story blends in and moves forward, in prefect synchronization. Particularly given the complexity of the plot. Quite a tribute to the three screenwriters.

Great movie, can't wait for the next one!

A Monster Calls (2016)

Uninspiring story of a problem child

This movie is rubbish.

Uninspiring, dull,dark and depressing.

The fact that so many people gave it stars goes on to prove peculiar joys people draw from negativity and pain.

The movie does not have a clear sense of direction. It is basically the story of an (ugly looking!) problem child, who makes life difficult for himself and the people around him.

The actors are less than impressive.

The script is horrible.

The stars are truly misleading.

Take my advice; don't waste your time and money on it.

I just lost two hours of my life I will never get back!
