Worst season finale ever!

I must admit in my first review I gave this show 8. However I've just watched this 10th episode season finale and it was awful. Come on! If you want us to watch a second season then give us a darn good cliffhanger not this boring trying to be emotional, blank stare ridden rubbish. Such a pity because I really enjoyed the first 9 episodes.

I really am enjoying this show. I don't understand why the reviews on here are so bad. Sure it's not action packed loaded with special effects but rather focuses on how an alien invasion affects the lives of different groups of people around the world. The character development is good and well acted .

The Hunt (II) (2020)

Unexpected gory fun!

I watched this last night and what a surprise package it was. Very gory, Non stop action . Extremely funny satire. I really enjoyed this short film, only about 90 mins. Packs a punch and payback is a bitch!

Don't get the appalling reviews on here. I quite enjoyed binging this. Solid acting and easy to watch . It's not a classic but give it a go . Just don't expect to be wowed!

Only Murders in the Building (2021– )

Funny well written with twists!

Great combo of comedy and mystery. Got some really funny laugh out load scenes ( scrabble game )....starts off slowly but as the episodes are short,it's easy to binge and enjoy. Although not a huge fan of either comedians, I really enjoyed this light hearted show and am looking forward to the next one!

It's a good thriller with twists and excellent acting. Keeps you guessing right till the end. However it's too long and drawn out. Can't help think that if this was done by the BBC it would have had far more impact by compacting it into 4 or 5 episodes. That being said it's easy to binge and entertaining.

I watched the first series on a recommendation and so glad I did. Excellent production and a good yarn, casting and acting. So easy to binge. Can't wait to start season 2 .

Great acting , script , development of characters. So easy to binge. Isn't it great when you find a series that you can't tear yourself away from? The only drawback is when you get to the end and it leaves you begging for more! Excellent!

Hospital fodder!

Watching this series while in Hospital recovering from a near death experience! Big mistake! This series was dreadful. I just hope they don't have a second series! Perfectly fits into the genre that I usually like ( think Carnival Row ) but it just fails to deliver. Every episode relying on over the top music and a girl screaming with fear, tripping, screaming again. Geez! The whole premise should have worked but the casting , script, acting etc just lets the whole thing become laughable. Recommend you don't waste your time on it!

Tribes of Europa (2021)

Too good to be only 6 episodes

I really enjoyed this easy to binge show. Well acted, amazing sets and pretty good SFX. The only problem is that this first series only has 6 episodes. Hope we don't have to wait too long for the second series.

Blinded by the Light (2019)

Wonderful uplifting film !

From my mid teens I have always been a huge Bruce Springsteen fan. I loved this film. Songs brilliantly selected to fit in with the plot. When certain iconic songs came on I literally broke out on goosebumps ! This is another British feel good movie that will take you through a whole range of emotions. For any budding writers out there, this would also make a fabulous stage musical.

I really enjoyed watching this show. Great production and great characters. The lead actor is so cool! Netflix so far have only aired 2 of the 7 episodes? Why? Has Covid halted production? I'm hanging out for more.

Wow what an annoying film! Not a comedy ( not funny) not a drama ( not entertaining). Appalling script and casting. Miranda Otto what were you thinking? Put simply......don't waste your time. I very rarely bother giving a bad review but this film should come with a warning!

Killing Eve (2018–2022)

Series 1 & 2 brilliant. But series 3 meh!

What a shame! The first two series were brilliant. 10/10 stuff however series 3 lacked the punch and flair. It's go don't get me wrong, but as expectations were so high it left me so disappointed. Hope they don't do a fourth!

I enjoyed this show! Every episode ends with you hanging out to see the next one. Ok it's trash! Fun trash! These scores of 1 etc really? Woke! ? It's not to be take seriously. Ludlam, Crighton, King on film. Lighten up people! Sit back a relax and enjoy. I too like this genre !

Gave a high review because all the really low reviews are rubbish. This is good,fun,binge worthy stuff! I really enjoyed it! Not intellectually heavy just a fun yarn. Good English cast and production. Overall it's probably worth a 7.5 so relax, settle in for a ride and enjoy!

Mank (2020)

Seems from the reviews that you either love Mank or don't! Masterpiece v's Boring. I couldn't even last more than an hour! So dreary though mildly interesting and at times a witty script. But not enough to keep me watching.

Started off ok. Not great but ok. Until episode 4-6 then picked up 7. Episode 8 was boring as hell .Episode 9 good. Well filmed but the fake British accents were cringe worthy, especially Henry Thomas who was just a terrible farce and totally miscast. It is neither a horror story nor a ghost story or a love story. It tries to be all three but fails because it can't make its mind up on what it should be. The children and their dialogues were pathetic and the multitude of " perfectly splendid " comments in their whiny voices, were so annoying with unnecessary ode to Mary Poppins or even Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! I mean ..really?!!!I wanted to be fair and therefore watched the whole series, but ,in hindsight, I wish I hadn't . 9 hours of my life wasted! With so much quality stuff around at the moment I really advise not to bother.

One of the best shows ever! But it needs a series 3. Please!!!

This show is fantastic and from the very beginning it hooks you right in and never let's go! Some say it's too violent,but in my opinion that adds to the fun of it! Tarantino esque !! Combines dark humour and a great story along with likeable characters and script. After 2 series it leaves you begging for more! Although a third series hasn't been made it is still a possibility. Geez I hope so! One huge question that needs answered is........ why does everyone have piercing blue eyes! Watch the show and you'll understand what I mean!

Cobra Kai (2018–2025)

Such fun and so easy to binge as each episode is about 30 mins long. All the actors are great and so good to see the return of the original actors in Karate Kid as adults. Hanging out for series 3. Hope the wait isn't too long!

The Lion King (2019)

From the start this film is a visual feast! I gave this film a high score to add a bit of balance to some really harsh reviews. The original was a masterpiece and this isn't for sure, however it is still entertaining and fun. The casting of ?Beyoncé was a huge error and Glover is not much better. The story is the same but lacks the emotion of the original. It's well worth watching purely for the visuals alone.

Wonderful show but frustrated at no season 3

Don't you just hate if when you're hook on a really good show and then it ends without a final season to wrap it all up ? Well that's the case with this show. Great refreshing show, top acting and script. Each episode has its own story but it's also links together really well. However at the end of season 2 you are left wondering what going to happen. But don't let that put you off watching it it really is very enjoyable with great characters.

Cursed (2020)

At last a series that falls into my perfect genre........OR SO I THOUGHT!

After seeing the promos for this I was so excited! However after watching the first episode last night ,I was hugely disappointed. The good points first: visually in 4HD it is so vivid and well photographed. It is an interesting take on the King Arthur, Lady of the Lake, Excalibur theme...........The casting of a black Arthur and a scrawny drunk Merlin didn't bother me at all. This is just fiction right?! However the acting was like something out of a prep school play. Appalling! The choreography for the action scenes are laughable. Rather than being able to get into the episode and enjoy a fun ride ,you are constantly distracted by how awful everything is and poorly executed. I ,however, will persevere because ,liked I said, I love fantasy and magic stuff, but if it doesn't improve I won't waste my time!

Wild District (2018–2019)

Well this was a wonderful surprise. Great acting and storyline that unfolds at a perfect pace allowing you to really engage with all the characters. Lots of action with a well written family plot thrown in. I have only seen the 1st series and eagerly await for the second series to air in Australia.

White Lines (2020)

Fun with great 90's soundtrack.

Well I really enjoyed this . Binged it a a couple of days. Good acting and characters. Fab 90's soundtrack. Good yarn. Having been to Ibiza in the 70's ,80's and 90's it brought back some wonderful memories. Beautiful place with crystal clear waters. For light entertainment I thoroughly recommend this well made production.
