Climax!: The Day They Gave Babies Away (1955)
Based on Movie "All Mine to Give"
A short story by Dale Eunson and his wife ran in Cosmepolitan magazine called "The Day they gave the babies away" 1946 . The movie and series was based on that real life account which is a tear jerker for sure but a lovely movie. Life back in 1856 was harsh and hard but beautiful none the less. Every once in while TCM plays the movie around the holidays about family love. Make sure you have tissues handy when you watch the love unfold between the children left to fend for themselves, at the turn of the century Highly recommend. Movie was released in 1957 but is in color not black and white film.
Toy Story 3 (2010)
Loving bookend for my sons life
When my youngest son was 4 we saw Toy Story 1. Loved it so much he had a Woody doll he got for Christmas .
Fast forward to my son graduating high school and he and I went to the theater to see Toy Story 3. It made that time so sentimental .
Note - because Andy was going off to college and so was my son , this movie is a perfect snapshot into my heart for all time . I would recommend it if you watched the original .
Gunsmoke: The Thieves (1970)
Took a line time getting here
Found This episode of the classic show Gunsmoke really detailed and outstanding. The regular cast was almost in Supporting roles in this episode which was a surprise. Excellent writing & acting & story telling!!
The Virginian: The Handy Man (1968)
Trampas Angel
This episode was almost like Trampas' guardian angel as a drifter turned handyman who always is Johnny on the spot to save Trampas . Like to think this episode was heaven sent
It Happened on Fifth Avenue (1947)
One of the Best Christmas movies of all time
What a wonderful story that teaches us all to not judge a book by the cover . Cast is engaging and there are laughs & cries throughout. I love the last line " Mary, Remind me to nail up the board in the back fence. He's coming through the front door next winter."
The Christmas Train (2017)
