Extraterrestrial (2014)
Good addition to Alien Invasion movies but a SLAP IN THE FACE ENDING!!
Extraterrestrial is a good addition to Alien Invasion movies with its intensity, decent Sci Fi effects, actors are somewhat generic but aside from that, there is fun to be had with this movie.
HOWEVER!! Points are taken off for me because of the ENDING! Was it really necessary to kill off the only two survivors left, our main protagonists? Talk about a slap in the face to the audience when we watch April finally decide to say yes and accept Kyle as her future husband after saying no at first, for at the end to just have them be killed by the Military is just EVIL! What was the point of taking them out? These kids get abducted by these Aliens and are spared just to be killed by their own government. Horrible way to end a fun Alien movie!! Don't hate the movie itself, but the ending could have been different. If the director wanted to keep the existence of Aliens a conspiracy why not just pay off April and Kyle to keep their mouth shut denying the existence of Aliens to the rest of the world, and let them live their happy married life? That's would be a better way to handle that!! Overall good Alien flick!
The Fanatic (2019)
Unintentional comedy? 😂
After watching some reviews about this movie on YouTube I gave The Fanatic a watch aaaaaaand wooooow 😂😂 I am not sure if this movie was supposed to make me laugh, but I couldn't hold back laughter during many scenes in this movie. This is not John Travolta's best work, however this movie did not fail at entertaining me with the insanity that is his character Moose. Many bad decisions were made in this film and I believe those bad decisions is why this film bombed at the box office. I don't hate this movie, but I hope John Travolta can make a comeback in a great film sometime. It's been long since he filmed a memorable movie.
Candyman (2021)
Good sequel but misfires in certain areas
The original Candyman is a modern classic, and going into this film I expected something just as good or better. This new Candyman is a good interesting film overall, but it shys away from certain sequences that moviegoers look for when they go to see a horror film. Specifically a scene in which High school friends summon Candyman, but once he shows up and attacks these teens most of the sequence is off camera which is disappointing for a horror film that's supposed to be R rated. Apart from that, the cinematography in this movie is amazing! The camera angles and the use of mirrors in this film was very clever, and certain sequences were definitely inspired by A Nightmare on Elm Street. The storyline kept me invested and flowed well. This is a movie I do recommend for anyone who saw the original Candyman. This film does link with the original and I believe it was done very well.
Spencer (2021)
Waist of storytelling
With someone as well known as Princess Diana and the impact she made in Great Britain, you'd think there would be enough interesting stories of her life to make a great Biopic. Unfortunately Spencer waisted that opportunity. I will say the actors did very well with the material that was given to them, specifically Kristen Stewart. I believe Kristen Stewart embodied the persona of Princess Diana really well! However this movie served nothing interesting about Princess Diana. This movie basically just shows Kristen Stewart as the Princess moping around the Royal Mansion complaining of how she just wants to live a normal life outside of Royalty. We also get sequences of no dialogue and it painfully drags the film making you want to dose off to sleep. I would not recommend this movie, you'll be better off finding a documentary on Princess Diana instead.
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
The Justice League we deserved!
Zack Snyder's Justice League is far more superior than the 2017 theatrical release. From beginning to end this movie is engaging, it's exciting, it's emotional, it's everything you want in a Superhero film! The run time is long, but it is necessary to develop the characters and flesh out the many scenarios that was shortened in the theatrical cut. Zack Snyder's Justice League is an epic experience! This is how films should be made! I hope we get a sequel to this film!
7500 (2019)
Good elements but disappointing
This is by no means a terrible movie, there are plenty of good elements this movie offers. The actors did great with what they were given. I like the chemistry between the pilots, however I wish the movie could have shown us beyond the cockpit. Almost the entire film takes place inside the cockpit of this plane being hijacked, not once are we shown the hijacking unfold from the passengers perspective. That is my main issue with this movie, it felt claustrophobic. Otherwise it's a slightly above average thriller that kept me engaged the entire time. Joseph Gordan Levitt carries this entire film, his character is very likable and by the end he was best element in this movie.
To the Limit (1995)
Anna Nicole Smith takes the spotlight
To The Limit is just as terrible as Skyscraper, but if it weren't for the fact that Anna Nicole Smith being the star of this movie, it would have just been another terrible generic 90s action film. Still a horrible film, but Anna Nicole as terrible as her acting was, she still managed to be entertaining to watch.
Skyscraper (1996)
90s Cult
Skyscraper is by no means a good film, it is truly a terrible action/thriller but let's be honest Anna Nicole Smith is what makes this movie entertaining as it is.
Fateful Findings (2013)
If I can give this 0 stars I would!
I have no idea how this movie was made & given the ok to be released. Every aspect of this film fails miserably. The story is unforgivably messy, the acting is horrifically embarrassing, all of the effects are garbage, and honestly the movie as a whole is straight up boring. I've seen bad movies, but Fateful Findings is another level of bad/distasteful filmmaking that should have never existed. There is no tension, there is no chemistry between any of the main characters. This is a film I would obviously never recommend to anyone! There are far better thrillers worth watching than this embarrassment of a film. Fateful Findings gets a 0 out of 10 stars from me!
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
Son of Krypton vs. Bat of Gotham!
The biggest Gladiator fight comes to life! To understand the storyline in this movie you would have to watch Man of Steel. Overall I loved this movie from beginning to end. I actually found it hard to believe that many were disappointed. Ben Affleck was a better choice for Batman than what I actually thought. Also this movie paved a path for Wonder Woman and the Justice League. Once you understand the story you would appreciate this movie.
Wonder Woman (2017)
Wonder Woman!
I've looked forward for Wonder Woman's live movie since I was a kid. Now that I finally got to see the Amazonian Princess shine in her own movie, I walked out amazed! This movie delivered everything I hoped for in her origin story. Gal Gadot owns the new era of Wonder Woman, and I am looking forward to seeing her in Justice League. This movie lived up to the hype!
