Cinderella (I) (2021)

Saw the direction, poor execution

Cinderella... a tale as old as time...

I understand wanting to update the direction. It is noble to create an adaption where a woman does not need to marry to be happy or need "saving". Even more, one with ambition. I enjoyed the representation of a multitude of people.

What this lacked for me is the since of class and fantasizim that an adaption of a classic should have. The jokes were too easy, the singing/songs too "poppy", everything a tad bit overacted. Everything was too exaggerated.

Would not watch again and don't think it was stand the test of time as a repeatable and often enjoyable classic.

I watched the whole thing because it was a train wreck. Okay first of all, I get they are actors but can we at least make the extras actual cheerleaders just for production value? And what kind of high school is this. Couldn't we make this about college so the scheming on underage girls and drugs/alcohol would be a little less icky? The plot line? I'm not sure I felt like every episode was a rerun of the last one. Whatever this is, it's not it.

I just watched this movie for the first time... and I have to say I think it was supposed to be cinematically gorgeous but instead it was pulsating and frightening. Honestly scarier than a scary movie for me. The emotional ride the whole time, my feelings were all the way in. I loved it.

Such a good watch. Keeps you on edge of your seat. Watch it on Netflix in the original language with the subtitles! Do not watch in English.

This will have you captivated from the first episode. I've never seen a first episode quite chilling and compelling as the first of this.

The characters grow and you want to root for them or root for their demise, whichever the case....

Great watch!

Was Not Expecting That!

I usually skip over subtitled TV shows but I got so into the characters and the story I almost forgot I was reading while watching! This is charming, quirky, and heartfelt series. The ending - WOW! I gasped. I NEED TO KNOW!!

Wow! Had no expectations and this movie was just about everything I wanted in an Italian holiday romcom. Nothing too corny or fancy, just exactly what it was growing up Italian in a very small town. Simplistic yet entertaining from start to finish!

I was excited to try the show out. I feel like they are trying too hard to be relevant. Even at that, I have no idea who they are trying to be relevant to? Very unstructured. Love the fact it's designed to be fun, but it was unwatchable.
