Rituals (1989)

Great film

This film deserves a better rating than 5 stars. It doesn't exactly follow Cees Nooteboom's novel (which is brilliantly written), but its interpretation is right, IMHO. I especially like the characters played by Derek De Lint and Ton Lensink, but the whole cast is OK.

De provincie (1991)

One of the best Dutch films IMHO

The film grasps very well the atmosphere that was put in the novel by writer Jan Brokken. Strong acting performances.

Young Winston (1972)

too many voice overs

Interesting film, bu the continuous voice overs were too annoying.

The Nutcracker and the Four Realms (2018)

Nice film for the young

Not a great scenario. Several flaws. But it has nice scenes and enough excitement to entertain kids / families who come to cinema to enjoy a film. Should not be judged with an adult mindset.
