Joker (2019)
Incredible Drama Film
This is one of the best drama films I've seen in years. And I've seen many! In spite of being based on comic personalities (which is stays pretty true to) in New York City in the 70's, this isn't just another comic/superhero flick. (super *villain flick?) This is a drama, involving mental illness and how society treats the mentally ill..with thesubsequent negative results. The level of authenticity is high in this film, and that's quite the statement considering it's based on a comic character! Haha! Including but definitely not limited to DeNiro's final scene in the film ;) This'll definitely be one I watch again once in a while!
The Carter Effect (2017)
Drake Reduces Aithenticity/Believability
This documentary was a pretty good viewing. I won't give you the 3+ paragraph Review aimed at getting itself posted, but I'll give you my authentic viewer feedback.
I'm (originally) a Torontonian, born and raised. (40+ years before moving to South America completamente) I'm saddened I was so out-of by the city I didn't pay more attention at the time to Carter and his Raptors, because I lost-out. This doc opened my eyes to that fact. IMHO, it was largely about how Vince Carter brought attention to the fact Totonto/Canada could have a serious basketball team. (Cliff's Notes: Basketball was invented *in Canada! No sh**!)
What makes this doc a little weaker is that it leans on "Drake" to add authenticity to the bball community. Drake, the Jewish-Afro canadian who sings about "growing up on the rough tough streets of Toronto" and professes the typically rap-crap intended to show toughness, whilst he actually was born with a silver spoon in his mouth to a Jewish father and Afro-Canadian mother both of respectable vocational accomplishment and moderate wealth...in a city undeniably separate of and apart from Toronto. And the Greater Toronto Area as a whole. He's a fraud, and anything his name is attached to is of questionable believability. The Mr. Forest Hill, his rough days were having to wait over 5 minutes for mommy or daddy to pick him up and drive him home from school. Lmao!
The doc is enjoyable and informational. Ignore Droop. Err, Drake.
Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)
1:51 Hrs of my life I'll never get back :(
It's bad. It's between ungood and wtf-did-I-just-witness? Annie is good. He always is. The Sarah Connor character was very well-acted. But with a losing storyline and what appeared to be weak or effortless directing, everything goes to sh**. I suspect Google backed this flick, as an attempted bounce-back to Terminator Genisys - which portrayed a direct parallel to what Google has being doing to consumers with Android since spending bucks deluxe to push RIM's BlackBerry out of the handheld market. This movie is arse. Predictable telegraphed rubbish. I'll never recover these moments of my life wasted on this drivel... Oh, and yes it *is a movie professing males are inferior to females. Watch it and you'll agree instantly. And be $20 poorer - or whatever tic go for in your part of the world. Haha¡
Bleed Out (2018)
Documented Devastation of Life
This film documented the absolute theft of life from an innocent victim, and further documented how the government and medical society work in tandem to keep these things quiet while protecting each other. I sympathize with this poor woman and her very supportive family so very strongly. The Healthcare Industry shows the world the crimes they commit that lead their victims to reconsidering their sanity.
What I like about the film presented is how in spite of being told through biased eyes, the facts shine through strongly. And facts are facts. I suspect the prosecuting attorney was impressed upon and/or compensated to dismiss the anesthesiologist from the case. Albeit a man with only a low level of legal expertise to date, I would've focused strongly on witness that show inconsistencies and questionable evidence. As a rule, anything that weakens my opponent's case should remain for the jury to hear from.
O.G. (2018)
Not A Typical Jailhouse Flick
This is not an action, thriller or shoot-em-up type movie. The acting was good, and surprisingly believable. (for what it is) And yes, I'd know. The cinematography is great, and is never distracting. It's not a big-budget movie with an arresting storyline, but it does help the viewer to get a bit of an idea how life incarcerated is. Not in a glamorous or violent way, but in showing how small and restricted life is behind bars. Inmate have...nothing. everything is known by everyone nearly, and what's worthless out here can be nearly invaluable to an inmate serving 15-to-forever. This was a very watchable TV-level movie, absolutely.
Stressed (2019)
Sales Pitch
Nowhere in this film does anyone actually discuss the techniques used. Al it does is croon on about how great it is - without giving any details whatsoever about what it is or how it's applied. Countless minutes of my life I'll never get back again...
