Howie Mandel's Animals Doing Things (2018)
Annoying
Constantly repeating what we just saw and clearly understood what we just saw, is so damn annoying and unnecessary. And the narration is annoying & unnecessary. I made it only 15 min. I love animal videos and can easily find them easily on YouTube, and I can actually understand what's going on in them without someone telling me what i just saw.

The Bishop's Wife (1947)
Better than It's A Wonderful Life!
How did It's A Wonderful Life ever become more popular than this movie??
I don't get it. IAWF is sad & depressing until the last 10-min. This is a sweet, charming, and lovely movie with so many parts that will warm your heart. I tell everyone I can about this movie and everyone loves it. I'm a 1-woman promoter - lol
It's a heart-warming story at a time when our hearts could use a lot of warming.
If you watch it & love it please promote it with your friends & family. Everyone could use a little sweetness in their lives, right? Good, wholesome, old-timey loveliness. And no, I did not get paid to tout the beauty of this film. Merry Christmas to you all. Peace on earth. 🌎
Lessons in Chemistry (2023)
Such an interesting show!
Although most of what was discussed in this show went right over my head, whoosh, I still had an idea what was going on and I just found it so interesting. I couldn't wait to watch the next episode and I had no idea where this were going. I don't like it when I can figure out what's going to happen next and that didn't happen once.
My only complaint, and I don't want to give away any spoilers, but I would have loved to see a little revenge against a certain character...... if you've watched the entire series you'll know who I mean as that would have been so satisfying. But I guess I can see why they didn't.
Good show. Good acting. Good story.
Seven Kings Must Die (2023)
Uhtred Destiny Is All
Ok, I will agree that this should have been another entire season. Why would Netflix end the series without ending the story? But, seeing how they only gave it enough time for a movie, they crammed a lot in. It was so good to see Uhtred again and glad they were able to wrap things up. So with the minimal time that was given they did a great job telling a basically true & historical story. So many good Viking offerings out there and I think I've watched them all. This one is grittier and the way it's filmed often allows you to feel that you're there. If you haven't seen "Vikings" with Ragnar Lothbrok, you really should. I've honored my Viking DNA as well as my English, Scottish & Irish DNA.
The Last of Us: Long, Long Time (2023)
I'm not afraid, are you?
I didn't recognize Nick Offerman for a few minutes! I love this guy!
I have no fear of anyone's love or their love story. This was done beautifully and while watching it I thought oh wouldn't it be nice if someone's heart & mind were opened after seeing this? Hahahaha what was I thinking? Homophobia still runs rampant in the ignorant ...... and there's just so many of them.
But it was a sweet story about two people who loved each other. And in this crazy world (or their crazy world) how nice it is to find love, no matter who you are. They were probably the only 2 people in the world who were able to maintain a semblance of what lives used to be like.
Passing (2021)
Well........
Like so many other reviewers I wanted to like this film but was left with so many questions:
What was going on with Irene's hand? She dropped the flower pot, then the teapot. Did she reach for Clare's hand to save her and her hand wasn't able to grasp it? Why did Clare say she'd do anything to get what she wanted? Was she after Irene's husband? And finally, what was the purpose of this movie? Yes, the subject of passing is very interesting, but it really didn't touch on that enough to be worthy of the title. How did John know where Clare was? She didn't seem surprised. Did she leave him hints? And at the end they could have thrown the racist John under the bus, but didn't. I'm so confused!!!!
Capturing the Light (2008)
Freaked me out a little
To the person who said the lights in the window were a reflection, you obviously either weren't listening or didn't watch that movie in it's entirety because they clarified that one side was open. There was no glass to reflect. It was a screen.
I shouldn't have watched this alone.
Maybe the ringing in my ears all this time are aliens trying to get a message to me? Lol.
Our Flag Means Death (2022)
Love me some Taika!
Seriously, I would watch anything Taika Watiti is in or has a hand in. I love this guy. This is a fun, silly, interesting show. If you're new to him then you must watch "What We Do In The Shadows".
I wasn't feeling well today so I binged all the episodes and it was a great way to spend the day. Thank you Mr. Watiti for being YOU! 💗
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
Jim Carrey
I still love this movie. No one could play the Grinch like Jim Carrey and I wonder how many of his lines did he ad-lib? It's funny, cute, sweet, and pretty to look at.
Ron Howard did a great job.
This is at the top of my Christmas movie list and ELF is at the bottom. I love Will Ferrel but his character just made me cringe.
Daddy's Home 2 (2017)
Gibson - Ugh
Way back when I was a fan of Gibson but after certain, umm, characteristics came to light, I no longer do. He's a poor example of a good man and has behaved shamefully. His role in this movie is so one dimensional. When asked if he could play a major jerk, I'm sure he said easy peasy - well that's not even acting, now is it?
Dune (2021)
What's with the names?
So this is supposed to be set in the year 10,000 something yet the title character and his mom are named Paul & Jessica. I know it's petty, but come on, Paul & Jessica?
And why couldn't this be current times, yet just on some planets way, way out of our own solar system?
Ok. Just something I had to say. I'm finished. Move on. 😛
Field of Dreams (1989)
Fun to watch again
It's been years since I watched this movie and it still gave me goosebumps multiple times.
If you love baseball, this will remind you some of the reasons why, that you may not have actually understood throughout your life.
I think they missed an opportunity to add a line: as "Doc" is walking into the cornfield, Ray could have shouted "Hey Doc, give Alicia a blue hat"!
Maybe they decided on less is more?
Anyways, it's a fun movie and if you haven't seen it in years, and maybe now you have kids, it would be a fun addition to your family movie night.
The Favourite (2018)
Now I know why I hated it!
I didn't realize it while watching this but found out after, that the director was the same guy that directed THE worst movie I've ever seen:
The Lobster.
There was not a single likable character in the entire movie. It wasn't funny. It was crude for no reason other than to be crude. I was so uncomfortable.
Was that the goal? To decide that all characters would be icky, crude, and to make as many movie goers as uncomfortable as possible? All in the name of Art?
I wish there was a YouTube clip of the meeting where the movie was pitched to the studios big heads.
Book Club (2018)
Didn't expect to like it.
I'm not a fan of 50 Shades because I feel it sends the wrong message to females: yea, he may be 50 shades of F'ed up, now but your love will change him.
This is different- it's a fun movie about love & happiness at any age. I'm glad I got talked in to going.
