The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon: Alouette (2023)
This show is proof that TWD didn't need to end, it just needed something fresh
Where do I even begin, the acting is great and characters are really interesting, but perhaps the best thing about it is the story, in the first episode we find out that Laurent could be a new messiah and they need Daryl to escort him to a place where he could grow up to be who he was born to be, which at first seems like a ridiculous idea, but the more they dive into it the more it makes sense, and we also find out that he's Isabelle's nephew, which it now makes sense why she seemed to be the one most concerned about him, and another interesting idea is that since his mother had turned into a walker as she was giving birth to him, he's actually the one most likely to be immune to the virus or whatever it is, out of the whole TWD universe, but either way I'm pleasantly surprised at how good this show is so far and I'm interested to see where it goes from here.
The Last of Us (2023)
GOOD, but nothing special
Pros:
I liked how it stayed true to the game, at least for now, that could change and they might later on stray from it, but so far I like that they're not scared of keeping the show true to the source material, which is refreshing
I also like the visuals and soundtrack, pretty much topnotch in those aspects
Most of the casting choices that I wasn't a fan of ended up growing on me, I still don't like Tess though, something is off about her compared to the game, however I enjoyed most of the performances
Cons:
Something is off about the tone of the show, I just can't place my finger on it, it feels like something is missing
They're rushing the story a little bit, they could've spend a bit more time setting up Joel and Tess and their issues with Robert before meeting Ellie, just my opinion though
I also don't like some of the few changes they made, the fact that there will be no spores in the show is a bad decision, it's literally one of the biggest ways one could get infected, remove that and the threat isn't as big anymore.
Westworld: Que Será, Será (2022)
Why the low rating?
Ok I'm confused, I realize this isn't the greatest episode of the series, but the 1/10 ratings are just stupid, there's no way you can say with a straight face that you didn't like a single thing about the episode, it's actually a pretty decent episode, I liked the twist with Dolores, Charlotte having a small bit of redemption at the end was nice to see, Caleb and Frankie saying goodbye was sad to see but yet made sense as he didn't want her last memories of him being how he broke down and became unable to function properly, all around pretty decent episode with a few small issues.
Going into this episode after having seen the ratings I expected a terrible episode, but it wasn't that bad, definitely a lot better than Season 3, people just need to let their expectations that 'Westworld will go back to Season 1 quality' go because we're never ever gonna get that type of quality again, having Season 2 quality might be the best we can hope for for Season 5.
Peacemaker (2022)
They scrapped Zack Snyder's brilliant vision for this? HAHAHAHA
What in the blue hell even is this? LMAO
They're turning DC into an absolute joke, someone needs to come and save this franchise before it's too late.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: The Star-Spangled Man (2021)
Something feels off
I'm a great fan of all three Captain America movies, especially 2 and 3, but something about this show feels off, they're trying way too hard to turn these characters into comedic goofs, I mean sure the Flag Smashers have been injected with the super serum, but at the same time they're mostly just street thugs while Sam is a trained Avenger and Bucky was one of the best Hydra assassins, you'd expect them to at least put up a fight, instead they were getting their asses kicked and laughing and cracking jokes the entire time, it's like they can't even have one scene without trying to make it funny.
This ain't it chief.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond (2020)
Terrible, but totally expected from Scott Gimple
I'm amazed how they make new shows with each one worse than the previous and somehow have the balls to continue making new shows, this is worse than Fear TWD S4-5 and that's saying something.
Daredevil (2015)
S1: 8/10 - S2: 8/10 - S3: 10/10
It's so rare to see a show getting better and better every season, Season 3 is a well deserved 10/10
Westworld: Crisis Theory (2020)
Decent episode, Terrible finale
I just don't understand how they messed it up, the season wasn't truly terrible, but they could've done a lot better, Season 2 is a masterpiece compared to this and it wasn't even the best season.
Season 4 needs to be mind blowing or this show will go down the same path as GoT.
Mr. Robot: 407 Proxy Authentication Required (2019)
Which of you a**holes voted this less than 10/10 ??
It had a 10/10 rating and it deserves it, this episode is perfect
Dark (2017)
Way too underrated
How is this show only 8.7/10 ??
If I can give it an 11/10 I totally would without hesitation, possibly the best show I've ever seen
Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)
TRASH
An absolutely disgusting ending to what was once the greatest TV show of all time, all thanks to D&D (aka Dumb & Dumber)
And trust me when I say this, giving this episode a 4/10 is being extremely generous.
After all the years of setup making Jon the lead character, it all led to nothing.
Game of Thrones: The Last of the Starks (2019)
Pathetic
One of the worst episodes of the entire series, I feel like 5/10 is being extremely generous.
"Yeah let's go to King's Landing with only a dozen unsullied and demand the surrender of 20,000 golden company when they can basically kill us all in 5 seconds, that's smart"
Last episode is a goddamn paradise compared to the s**t we got this episode.
Game of Thrones: The Long Night (2019)
Definitely not a bad episode, just a bit disappointed
They've been setting up the Night King for years to be this big bad villain, and then for them to just kill him off so easily seemed like a joke, I honestly first thought the NK pulled a prank on them and the one who went for Bran was a normal walker dressed as the NK, even Joffrey felt like a bigger and scarier villain, also I'm totally not against Arya doing it, but it seemed a little too easy, and I'm also kinda disappointed that Jon felt pretty useless the entire episode, they brought him back from the dead and ever since they've been setting him up to be the man who would eventually defeat the NK and end the long night, so unless the NK isn't truly dead and they're gonna bring him back in some form I feel like they wasted both their characters.
Idk why this is the case but I feel like ever since Season 8 started, their main focus was to do the thing that no one expected instead of doing the thing that benefited the story the most, having Arya kill the NK in episode 3 surely is unexpected, but does it benefit the story? I don't think so
