Spirited (2022)
What more could you ask for
Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell singing and dancing together! What more could you ask for! This Christmas musical is hilariously funny. Who knew they could sing this well! There are so many funny references you may have to watch it twice to catch them all. The dancing scenes were epic with tons of dancers. Very vibrant scenes with lots of excellent choreography. Octavia Spencer adds a level of charm to bring this musical a very personal feel. Ryan and Will need to do more work together. They work off each other very well. Give it a look. You will be glad you did. You will be humming all the songs.
I Am Syd Stone (2020)
Excellent Series!
This is an excellent series. The chemistry of the characters makes you crave for more. This can easily have multiple seasons. Travis Nelson is amazing in this series.
A Stormy Night (2020)
Enjoyable dialogue
This movie was surprising. Sexual tension and good dialogue make for a few tense moments. Each person has their own level of morality. It's good to see this open discussion.
The Falls: Testament of Love (2013)
Longing for Each Other
This movie was better than the first one to me. Don't get me wrong, the first one was excellent. I bought this DVD because of seeing the first movie "The Falls" on Netflix and checking on IMDb to find out more about the actors and director and saw there was a continuation movie. This movie really built more on the two main character's longing for each other. RJ (Nick Ferrucci) knew there was something still missing in his life even though he was dating Paul (Thomas Stroppel). RJ went in search of it. He knew the missing part to his life was Chris. You could feel the pain that Chris (Benjamin Farmer) was going through and his conflict of being someone everyone else wanted him to be and not being true to himself. Writer/Director Jon Garcia did a wonderful job of making these characters so realistic. The love scene between RJ and Chris was very tastefully done with just the right amount of flashes between both his lives to give a wonderful synchronicity. When you have characters interact with each other in such a way as this you are left feeling very satisfied as a viewer yet wanting to see even more of them as they live out their lives. I would vote YES for a third movie in a heartbeat. Hello Jon Garcia, are you listening? :)
The Falls (2012)
Excellent Actors - Excellent Story
This film caught me by surprise. I found it on Netflix and thought I would give it a try. I was very, very pleased. I had seen the movie "Latter Days" 2003 and enjoyed it also. The religion vs. coming out gay has been an issue for me in my life when I was younger and while I am not LDS I was brought up in a very strict Fundamentalist Baptist Church. The conflict of these two characters played so well by Nick Ferrucci and Benjamin Farmer was excellent. Writer/Director Jon Garcia brought this movie to life and I applaud him for such solid characters. I try to find positive and uplifting gay themed movies when ever I can and this movie was just that for me. I was very glad to see this movie has a continuation of the story in "The Falls: Testament of Love" 2013. I could watch these two men continue their lives and story even further if there could possibly be a third movie showing us even more. These are the types of characters the viewer can become very attached to and want to follow their lives.
