Left Behind (I) (2014)
3/10
3 stars...
4 January 2024
Well actually 2 stars (Nicholas cage), Leah Thompson and an unfortunately drifting from the limelight early 2000's tv heart throb (Chad Michael Murray). So I guess that counts as 3 'stars'.

These actors are top notch at what they do best... but this movie for 158 mins made me think otherwise...

Either way, the stars of this movie are better than what it offered them for their dialogue. Leah Thomson was severely under utilized, she has so much more to offer than just the boring devoted bible pushing mother. This movie seems like it had an underlying (maybe even outright obvious) agenda to push beliefs of god and the bible on the viewers. All disguised as a sci-fi/thriller movie. I gave this movie 3 stars because I wanted to see Nic Cage do what he does best, end the flick with a 'bang'...so I kept watching tilt end, and unfortunately this is clearly a movie that he only did because he 'had to'. No disrespect to Cage, it just wasn't a good movie.

The ending.. start..and middle are weak at best. Bad CGI (I'm not even one to care about that, but 90's CGI stands up better than this) stale acting, comedic facial expressions during dramatic scenes, and embarrassing writing all make for a complete pile of 'Left Behind'.

More unraveling and heartbreaking from start to end
2 January 2023
This documentary came up as a suggested watch on my tv service. I figured I would give it a go, something to entertain during a late night first day of the new year watch.

Boy, did I get into something so heart wrenching and sad before I even knew it.

I looked at the tv, without my focused view missing the screen for every last minute of this documentary. Except when I paused to get up and collect my thoughts.

This poor woman, her story, her potential, then it just unravelled in front of my eyes like a broken glass filled fruit by the foot. It kept giving, but not anything good...just the heartbreaking truth and more hurt and sadness. Sadness towards this woman, her son, daughter, and her real family. I could add even more, but I can't because the sadness is too real.

This is one of the _____ (I leave it blank for my heart can't even describe it) documentaries that I have ever watched. I say that with a heavy heart because it's also one of the worst I have ever watched.

Rest in peace to those who were lost in this heartbreaking story. I hope to never see anything as sad as this ever again.

Gave it a chance
10 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I gave this movie a chance knowing full well what the outcome was going to be, but it sounded like an interesting premise and I'm bored. I really wanted to like it...

Unfortunately the most thrilling on my seat climatic moment of the whole movie was Jeff trying to lock a cabinet.

"Be quiet kid, I'm watching Puppy Dog Pals"

This show is very tolerable for a parent and I often find myself watching it and wondering how it's going to end LOL Not often are the same scenarios repeated. Good writers, and kudos to Harland Williams for the great creation!

I should have watched this movie 18 years ago..
21 December 2021
For its time the special effects were pretty good. I came across this movie again tonight, and have always been curious about it.

Didn't seem like my 'cuppa', but I have to say it's a great film.

I rated it a 7 because of some minor plot holes, but with so many moving parts and an ambitious story line, you just have to look passed those minor inconsistencies.

This is an entertaining film that deserves a strong 7.

Comedy Central, please make another roast

The by-product of too long of a break in Comedy Central Roast.

This 'special' deserves to be roasted by every person who reviews it, because reading reviews on here is more entertaining than this scripted pile of...

Before, during and after
23 November 2021
Before during and after you watch this re-creation of World War 2 you should be saying "I remember"...

You will remember...

There are times while watching this 'show' that you feel nervous, then excited and then...extremely sad.

This 'show' will make you grateful.

At times it's your entertainment, then you're immediately reminded that that excitement you feel is pure fear for the men involved in World War 2. It brings you into the centre of what these brave heroes experienced.

Take another step...and you never know what can happen. Band of Brothers brings you right into the middle of the action while pulling on those heartstrings.

A Masterpiece.

Rudd x2
19 October 2019
What's better than a show/movie with Paul Rudd in it? A show with two Paul Rudd.

Rudd plays the double character role very well. So well that it's hard to tell it's a split screen.

A well made show that almost matches the quality of a high budget movie. Great premise with loveable characters.

The World of Stupid (2004– )
6/10
Funny Show
13 August 2018
Take a ride back to 2004 when doing dumb stuff was a world-wide sensation. Tothe beginning of it all, the cell phone cameras capturing amateur 'stunts', the truly shocked targets of gross or outrageous pranks, and the growing fan base of loyal followers.

This show is a look into the lives of 'stupid' people all over the globe. Doing amateur stunts causing pain for viewers pleasure. Really in a time that was much simpler than now. We find these type of videos all over the internet these days but, these are from the 'original' times of being stupid on camera.

Nothing spectacular just guys doing dumb stuff (lol). Some of the groups in each episode are better than others. But it's funny enough to keep you watching to see what the next group will be like!

Why all the hateee?!

This is overall a good movie. If you like Martin lawrence you will like this movie. Maybe it was ahead of its time?

I watched this movie as a kid and loved it. Still love it as a 30 year old. The premise is silly, so expect a silly movie. That's what trailers are for.

C comedy movie about A dude from the 2000's who goes back in time to midevil times.... you get what you watch.

Marlon Wayans: Woke-ish (2018 TV Special)
8/10
Marlons best work yet!
14 March 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Laughs laughs laughs. Marlon makes you laugh after almost every joke from his first stand up. There are some serious topics he covers yet he somehow makes you laugh about it because of his silly ways of explaining and acting them out. Sexual orientation, black history, and family. There are even references from some of his movies which fit so well into his act. It's great. If you like Marlon you will like his stand up.

His facial expressions and overall stature are half of the comedy that he brings to this special.

I wasn't sure how it would be because some of his movies seem to fall flat. But I was not disappointed with this hilarious special that keeps you laughing until the end.
